OK, I've got an HTML page with some divs. I want to update those divs at some fixed intervals.
Those divs could be some text, some html, some picture, whatever, doesn't matter, I juste want to know how to update a divs at some fixed intervals.
I have 2 Divs. One Div has a form and another one DIV should get refreshed. While I submit the form, another DIV should reload without refresh/reload the page. I submit the form using Ajax its working fine. The content is displayed in the Div2 should reload. How to do it?

I have a jsp file that is used to display data from Java objects running on my server. I'm using JQuery for tabs and to handle the ajax calls to a servlet that affects the Java server I have running.Each tab represents a service, and has a corresponding java object on the server side. These are generated from the spring configuration, and is working fine. The page is used to control some aspects of the service, and I have a few buttons that can be clicked. I'm trying to get it so that when a button is pressed, the appropriate Java function is called on the service's object (this happens using ajax) and then refresh the current tab.
My js code is like this:

Right now, I'm using the window.location.reload(true) to refresh the whole page but I'd like to just redo the div for the tab that contains the button that has been clicked.I have tried:

instead of the window.location calls above, but that puts the whole page into the tab.
I'm using a jquery slider for displaying content on a webpage.

Like in the first examples i have 5 panels, and i have a meta navigation, contact, links ect. all thedifferent content for the meta-navigation is displayed via jquery in panel 5, and is working fine.
Now my question; when the user is for example on the second panel, and the clicks on links, the page should show panel 5 (which is the index page(default.asp)), and then show only the content for the links.
I tried different stuff for loading the defautl.asp page, but it doesn't work. how do i tell, that if i click on the link wirh class="kontakt" the page should load the default.asp, and THEN do all the jquery stuff?
Below is one example, what i tried, but did not work.

I currently have a DHTML popup menu that holds a form. I was trying to make it so on submission of the form within the DHTML popup the page itself will fully reload to update the content. However, on submission of the form the page "reloads" but not really, because i still need to go to the URL again for it to display the updated content.

and dropdown menu in each page to switch between india and usa pages.
india.html page sells in INR and usa.html in USD with links to shopping carts for each currency.

Except the link and the currency information(selling price), contents in both the pages are same.
So here comes the problem. Google hates duplicate pages!
I am looking for a solution where, a single page In That Page, a dropdown menu to select currency As the currency is selected, without page reload, the link to shopping cart and the pricing also should be changed according to the selected currency. So Single page should be able to handle both the currencies.
I have a simple product display with an product image. The product image changes with ajax when i click in a dropdown menu on another color.
Now i added the (beautiful) zoom script cloud zoom. It just works fine but after i click on another color and the product image reloads the script does not work anymore. instead my <a> is just a normal <a>.

Is there a difference between right clicking an iframe and reloading post reponse vs. using javascript to reload the frame? So far, the javascript route hasn't worked for me. [some context] I am writing a little bookmarklet to help me with the online registrations at my school. Here is the setup.
Load up a page on the domain. Remove all body elements. Insert an iframe. Set iframe to page for class roster search. (in iframe on school search page) Select class search options, POST the form data, and view results in frame. *This works perfectly, but I need to have it refresh results every minute or so. When I use frame.contentDocument.location.reload(true); the frame loses the post data or something and the page is broken. BUT when I just right click on the frame and select "reload frame" it works perfectly. What is the difference between rightclicking the frame and refreshing it like that vs. using javascript to reload the frame?
I'm trying to create a countdown timer based upon[URL]...what I'm trying to do: The database has a date, then there is a certain amount of seconds. Say 60*10 = 600 seconds / 10 minutes.
Everytime somebody buys something the datetime in database will be updated to the datetime item was bought. Now my goal is that anyone who is watching the timer in REAL time will have their timer reset to 10 minutes when somebody else buy.
Now the probem is this. The timer works sometimes only. Usually the first 3 times after a page load when somebody buys an item it works. Then it doesn't work. Or work at random intervals. It just doesn't make any sense to me!??

Im just getting started with jQuery and have successfully made a div "slideUp".I was going to put a long div on the top of a page with a message, show for a few seconds, and then slide up to disappear. I've seen that technique used quite a bit lately.Is there a way I can delay the run of my slideup function? I'd rather it be timed or delayed, than click to close.

However, I'd like to put this on a timer so that the tabs select automatically, one after the other, and the main image changes correspondingly. The user can still manually select the tabs but the timer still loops through them too if the user doesn't select anything.
I'm trying to build a simple "teleprompter" type web page for use on my tablet PC. I have the page constructed so that the words appear inside a div of fixed height, overflow hidden. I would like to have a simple "play button" along a fixed top menu that starts the words scrolling up inside the div below. I'll need to be able to hard code the speed of the scroll for now. I really don't know where to start on this one... it doesn't need to be complicated... just needs to work on the javascript-capable browser of an android-based tablet.

I want to print out several bits of info to the page dynamically according to a timer. I have PHP / MySQL printing this data out in hidden divs when the page loads (thinking this might be the best way to do this)... This is working fine. Heres a peice of source of the page:

I have a countdown clock in bidding. When someone bid within 30 secs clock will reset from 30 sec. In my case clock is reset but timezone difference added. So if bid within 30 sec clock counting down 4 hrs , 30 mins , 30 secs.

5) Problem: I've integrated the featured content slider in one of the default content section of the tab menu as you can see on the link on point 4. The slider is working perfectly when until i click on other tab menu and then back tab menu 1. The slider seize to work no more and worst the other featured content slides are appearing below the first one.
I have previously developed two scripts, both of which work really well, however I want to amalgimate them together if possible? My first script loads the content specified into a single div, replacing the content depending on which function is called, it also displays a loading gif during a timeout of 2 seconds. When showing the next page (after clicking on div#xyz), two first jQuery lines of codes don't perform (nothing happens when clicking #efg and #abc isn't hidden). If I load this page at the first time, it performed well. After clicking to next page or previous page, there're something misloading (other jQuery actions).
