I am trying to make my own jquery drop down menu. As usual, HTML is like this:

...it doesn't work. Top menu shows, but drop down on hover doesn't show.
I'm relatively new to JavaScript. I would like to loop through all the elements within a form and grab their values and what type of input they are. So far I came up with:

I was wondering if there way a way to loop through elements that contain a data key applied by data(). I couldn't find a selector for data keys.
This for instance, I would like to give me the value of 'foo' for where ever it has been applied.

When I click a button that code fires. When that code fires all the elements that aren't disabled get disabled. My code does NOT work as expected and I found the problem, which is if($(this).find().attr('disabled','disabled')). how to loop through form elements that are NOT disabled.
i have created an option on a website to give the possibity to the user to change the font size (smaller, bigger, reset), like the famous x3 'A' that we see in most of the websites. the code i have is based on a plugin copywrite to [URL]. now i'm facing a problem with different font size for different elements. to make the text bigger and smaller works like a charm but to reset the font size is not working so good. here is the code of the plug in the reset part:

here is how i'm calling the function: fontSize("#container", "#content *", 8, 12, 20); container is where i have the images to make the text smaller or bigger content is the div that has the content that i want it to be changed 8 is the smallest fonr size 12 default 20 max now the thing is that i have different font sizes in the page and some of them don't have a class just the <font> ....</font> when i'm clicking the rest button then i'm getting everything with size 12 and this is what i want to change. i want to remember the current font size and set it back.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi'm having with a superfish menu i have tried to add to my wordpress site.The menu seems to work fine for the base-level (top parent pages) menu items.But the drop down menus seem to flash on screen for just a second and then disappear when the mouse hovers over the menu items.To see an example, please check out the top menu on this temporary development page: http:[url].....I have tried adjusting the z-index in superfish.css file but it doesn't seem to be having any effect.

I've lately stepped up a little problem with one of my personal projects that i am working. I'm writing an aspx webpage, which includes web user controls inside it.
The webuser controls are within a web form (id=form1 runat=server) which resides in the

1. First of all, is there a way to find a SPECIFIC control inside the webuser control (ascx)

I am trying to use "replace" to remove dollar signs and commas from input values by looping through the elements. I'm pretty sure I have to use an array in an array to do so but can't figure it out. Here's what I have:

The purpose of the code is to slideToggle open one of two hidden sub-nav bars when either of two different menu items are clicked upon - instead of a drop down menu. What doesn't work is the hiding of the div that is not required, if it is already open. Viewing in firebug shows that the appropriate classes are being applied - I suspect the reason is that slideToggle has been somehow set and cannot be unset via another object - but perhaps that is not it at all?

, I'd like to think this is fairly simple but unfortunately my knowldege of jquery is limited to using prebuilt scripts and changing a few variables to get what i need. I created a drop down menu with a slide down/up animation for submenus, which worked out just as I wanted. I ran into troubles though when trying to add a nested menu to the drop down, but with a slide animation going from left to right. I'm sure my explanation isn't very clear, so please take a look [URL] The nested submenu I am speaking of should only open when hovering occurs on the 'Item 01' link, but as you can see it also opens when hovering over the buyers link. Secondly, my attempt to slide from left to right on this ul is not working, it seems to be sliding down even though this was not defined in the code.

I currently have a Drop-Down menu, which has headers you click on to show the links. This menu only allows one drop to be expanded at a time, and can be viewed here [url].
I would like the headers to be able to have 'sub-headers' inside, which also drop-down,to reveal the links. I want them to have a different header colour, and to have the same rule where only one can be open at a time. while keeping the rule with the main headers.

this code is supposed to display and load a secondary drop down menu if a particular ID(13 OR 14) is selected from the first dropdown. it works fine for 14, but not for 13. the "test" alert displays for both 13 and 14, but the second drop down only appears when selecting ID 14. I changed my array to ('13','14','13') and then it worked for both 13 and 14. is there something i am not aware of?

I'm building a drop down menu like [URL] or [URL] or [URL] the effect I'm trying to achieve is to have the top menu item showing a background image via css and create a stylized design with the sub-menu. Using CSS when I hover over the sub menu the background image of the top item disappears. So I'd like some guidance with javascript on how to keep the back-image while hovering on the sub menu.

I'm having a little trouble with 2 differentJS scripts. I have a drop down slide menu and a parralex slide gallery. Both work on separate pages and puton the same page they still work however the submenu of the slide down menu does not. if I remove the style sheet that belongs to the gallery
Then the munu works, however (obviously) the page layout goes wrong. if i remove<h1 class="title">Alex Holland Perspective</h1> the menu works however page layout goes wrong andI loose my header

Is there a way with this script for it to auto-detect if it's going past the bottom edge, and when this happens it'll go upwards instead?

Im working on some drag and drop logic similar to the jQuery shopping cart example, but I've run into a small hitch. If I double click on the LI within my 'dropped' area it causes them to become draggable again. I specifically set up drag to only work from one source list, so Im unsure how double clicking is causing this bug?

Again, this is only in IE (version 8) - every other browser in the known galaxy responds well to the JS and the HTML setup. The idea is there's a horizontal nav bar of five 'blocks', each with a heading. Hover over the heading and the 'block' (actually an <li>) extends to accommodate a small sentence underneath with a link. Hover off, and the block shrinks back to its original form, with the link hidden. All good in FF, Opera, Safari, Chrome. In IE, though, the <li> block doesn't extend - the link is shown beneath it, but it's outside its frame and looks awful.

the bug is at the third level of this drop down menu. sometimes u can see the third level menu and sometimes u see all of the third menus at once. sometimes u can select the item in the third menu easily sometimes these third menus just disappear... if u dont know what i m trying to explain above, here is the link, [URL] if u hover on the Work then go down to one of the drop down items, then u will see the third level menu. if u do the hover a few times, then u will see the bug...
