JQuery :: Linking Directly To Dynamically Loaded Content

I have a site that shows off video clips. When a clip is 'clicked' the video and related data is loaded in using jQuery. The page does not refresh. I now need to link directly to different 'videos', but am unable to because a click hasn't taken place to load the video in. It just loads the categories page. What would be the best way to allow me to link directly to the video... ? Will I need to edit my .htacess file? Will I need to somehow work out what clip they are trying to get, and 'fake' a click to impose the video/data on the page?
I'm using the Google Libraries API to load jQuery and jQuery UI. Is it permissible to link directly to component's file on jqueryui site? For instance I'd like to load the tabs component with: <script src="[URL]"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> google.load("jquery", "1.3.2"); google.load("jqueryui", "1.7.1"); </script> <script type="text/javascript" src="[URL]"></script>
I'm working on a gallery site using galleriffic. It is composed of 13 seperate galleries (couldn't figure out a way to integrate them into one) and what I would like is an index page which users can jump to any specific image in a gallery. [URL]. There is a current example, and what I'm trying to do is make a drop down menu form where someone could select a piece of granite, (eg. Giallo Latina) and it would jump them straight to that page. However if I link to "butterscotch.html#5" it doesn't work. Is there any way of creating a drop down menu that could handle this?
I am trying to link to a specific nested tab fromanother page. So let's say I'm on the home page, and I want to link to: productspage > Widgets (parent tab #2) > Large Widgets (Parent tab #2's child tab #3). In other words; Directly to a non-default nested tab, from acompletely different page. Linking to the parent tabs works fine (with a standard anchor link e.g.; [URL]), but I can't figure out how to link to one of their child tabs (besides what is set as default)

I have seen similar problems in the forum, but none that match this issue exactly.
I am using Giva Labs' jNotify plugin [URL].I have a main page that dynamically loads content in a container.
I load jquery, and jnotify in the main page. When I call jnotify from thedynamicallyloaded content, I get an error that jnotify is not a valid method. If I include the <script> call for jnotify in the dynamically called content, it works. This does not seem like the best practice.
Is there a way to re-initialize jnotify afterloadingdynamiccontent?
which works once the page hasn't been loaded using.load $(".toggle_cat_container").hide(); How do I adapt it to work when the page is loaded with .load? I am familiar with needing to use .live on click functions.
i.e. $("a[id^='mydiv']").click(function(e) { needing to be changed to: $("a[id^='mydiv]").live('click', function(e) {
My problem is that $(".toggle_cat_container").hide(); would trigger when the document was ready but when its loaded it won't trigger. What adaptation do I need? I suspect something similar to the below - just not getting it right $(".toggle_cat_container").live('onLoad', function(e) {
I'm trying to load dynamically some content and I'd like to fire a function when all the newly added content (including images, iframes and scripts in it) are loaded:

According tohttp:[url]....(at least how I understand it) this should work: Theloadevent is sent to an element when it and all sub-elements have been completely loaded. This event can be sent to any element associated with a URL,images, scripts, frames, iframes, and the windowobject.Unfortunatelly my function is never called. For the meantime I found a workaround:

I'm making an ajax call to my server and then, with the information I get back,ynamically creating HTML with jQuery, then appending it to my desired div. This part works excellently. The issue I'm having trouble with is I'm only returning five records, so I'm creating a span at the bottom labeled "see all", but even if I give that span a class,it's clearly not registering in the DOM because when I click it, my jQuery code doesn't even know it's there.My question: How do I get those dynamically generated elements to register in my DOM so they can be called by a jQuery click event?I realize that I can just do an inline javascript call to my function and that works fine(ish). The problem is, however, I want specific information about the particular span that I click, and if I call it inline, it doesn't send $(this) to my function... it recognizes $(this) as $(window), not as $(span that I clicked)

I have a page where I am using JQuery to load text into a DIV when you click on a button. Each button loads different text into an existing DIV. I need to be able to give people a link to the page that will preload certain text when they get there.
For instance, there is default text in the DIV when you go to mypage.html, however if you click on 'button_1' it loads different text. I want to be able to have a link that will automaticall have 'button_1' text loaded if i give them a link like mypage.html#button_1 (or something along those lines) How do I do that?
When I load an HTML file dynamically which contain relative links with jQuery, all the links are broken. which does not involve changing all the links to absolute values?
I have a page that contains images, and those images are displayed in a fancybox window when they are clicked. Some of these images are loaded dynamically after the page loads via AJAX.
All of the images exist inside of link tags with class="challenge_image_gallery". The code works the way it should on the images that are initially loaded on the page. However, when the new images are loaded onto the page using AJAX, the fancybox window loads two instances of the image that was clicked on rather than one as it should.
I have a js application, that loads formular-markup dynamically for a specific entity. Is there a way to access elements within this dynamically loaded markup through jquery?

The following code adjusts the opacity of an image which were dynamically loaded. It works on all browsers except for IE6. Is there a workaround?

I'm trying to bind an event handler to a button in a page loaded via Ajax. This procedure should apply to every page I have to load via Ajax. I have tried two things: first, I declared the 'click' event handler for the button like this, and just did my ajax request. Here's the code:

what i'm trying to do is to acces the content loaded via AJAX but in an other way than by a callback function.i have a div where the data will be loaded via ajax, the data is represented by a list of folders and when i click one of them i want to load then the subfolders and so on, but if i use the callback function this is not gonna be dynamic..cause i don;t know how deep is gonna be the tree.[code]but if i do in this way....first time it works....so id i click <ahref="folder_1">folder_1</a> it loads the subfolders...and if i click then on of the subfolders loaded with ajax it wont work anymore to see the subfolders in the respective folder.

Here is the problem. the web page i'm working on has 2 area's or panes. one that changes dynamically via ajax and one that stays the same to control the dynamic area. When the content is loaded into the div jquery does not work. More specifically i'm using the jquery ui datepicker. The page that is loaded via loadPage() work fine if its not called by the function. but once it is it seems all javascript does not function.

Only when specifying that page and loading that as a whole. Long version:I'm doing a website that's pretty graphics intensive. It's more like an application really, only with very "scarse" interface. So I liked the idea of loading only the new content directly onto the already loaded page instead of reloading everything.
And so I found a plugin from net tuts that did the very same thing.Basically, this plugin lets you load content from a said div container directly as a feed onto the page that's already loaded. So all pages are the same, with the only change being in the same div container as all pages have.Now, several issues occurred. What I find strange(probably not for you) is the fact that plugins that I use somehow stop working when loading the content using the said plugin. Cufon stopped working on the newly arrived content. And the same thing happens with a slide menu plugin as well that also arrives with the new content. But if I completely load the page that contains the div with Cufon and the slide menu, everything works as normal. But as soon as I click a link and new content arrives, plugins in that content does not work.
What am I missing? The pages are completely identical, with only a few differences in the a div container that both pages have. Clicking links are supposed to only remove existing content, fetch new content and place it in exactly the same location. One would think that scripts that are already loading in <head> would work with the newly arrived content as well?
I have a page (index.php) with a pictures carousel that works with css and jquery. I want to loaded a new carousel into a <div> after the page is loaded using the $('#mydiv').load('myscript.php') function that calls a php script returning the html code for the carousel, containing a list of images.So I have a <ul> of pictures that doesn't work as a carousel without the CSS and jquery code that has been loaded on the page when my index.php loaded on the first place.So, since the page has already been loaded the carousel doesn't work properly.It seems like the jquery code for the carousel to work, should execute every time I load a new list of images with the load() function.
