I load content from a separate php page into a div in my other page. This is done using .Get I believe.I've taken the plugin from net tuts +This is working, however, plugins that are supposed to work with the content that's just arrived aren't. Only when specifying that page and loading that as a whole. Long version:I'm doing a website that's pretty graphics intensive. It's more like an application really, only with very "scarse" interface. So I liked the idea of loading only the new content directly onto the already loaded page instead of reloading everything.
And so I found a plugin from net tuts that did the very same thing.Basically, this plugin lets you load content from a said div container directly as a feed onto the page that's already loaded. So all pages are the same, with the only change being in the same div container as all pages have.Now, several issues occurred. What I find strange(probably not for you) is the fact that plugins that I use somehow stop working when loading the content using the said plugin. Cufon stopped working on the newly arrived content. And the same thing happens with a slide menu plugin as well that also arrives with the new content. But if I completely load the page that contains the div with Cufon and the slide menu, everything works as normal. But as soon as I click a link and new content arrives, plugins in that content does not work.
What am I missing? The pages are completely identical, with only a few differences in the a div container that both pages have. Clicking links are supposed to only remove existing content, fetch new content and place it in exactly the same location. One would think that scripts that are already loading in <head> would work with the newly arrived content as well?
I have seen similar problems in the forum, but none that match this issue exactly.
I am using Giva Labs' jNotify plugin [URL].I have a main page that dynamically loads content in a container.
I load jquery, and jnotify in the main page. When I call jnotify from thedynamicallyloaded content, I get an error that jnotify is not a valid method. If I include the <script> call for jnotify in the dynamically called content, it works. This does not seem like the best practice.
Is there a way to re-initialize jnotify afterloadingdynamiccontent?
I have some simple tooltips on my site that load the content of the "title" tag into the tooltip. I am currently using this plugin[URL].. I have tried several others. They all work fine for static elements, but the main content of my pages are loaded by an ajax load() call. The tooltips don't work on any this content loaded via ajax. Why is this happening and is there a way to fix this? Or maybe a tooltip plugin that will work for this?
i am trying to use both the lightbox plugin and a fade in/out effect [URL] at once on a set of thumbnail pictures in a website. [you can see the site as it is so far here [URL]For some reason, only one or the other will work. My <head> currently looks like this:
WhenIrun the below code above the init code for jQuery plugins it stops them working. Im just trying to run the code after the DOM has loaded, is there a better way? <script type="text/javascript">$(document).ready(function() {
// The gallery is hidden so need to unhide it. document.getElementById('verticalCarousel').style.visibility='visible' }) </script>
About 2 weeks ago, I had some plugins just quit working. I have searched and cannot find anything about this issue. I have not made any changes, prior to this happening.
The issue, so far, has affected the "blockUI" plugin, and the "print" plugin.
All I get back now (instead of working code), is that the particular plugin is not a function. Something like code...
I've tried changing it to blockUI(), rewriting it the way the print plugin worked, but nothing seems to be working
I am very new to JQuery and I honestly don't know much about JavaScript programming either. I have setup this website and in it I use 2 plugins: 1) A scrollbar plugin (jquery custom content scroller) 2) easy slider (Easy Slider 1.7) The scrollbar plugin worked just fine but when I tied in the JQuery for easy slide, the scrollbar plugin stoped working. I am pretty sure that the problem is related to the 2 different JQuery versions that I try to bind in, or is it?.
I'm brand new to jQuery, so I apologize if this is a 101 question, but I'm trying to sort out a production issue. I do QA for an ecommerce website. When one of our developers made some changes to our application recently, a couple of the plugins we use stopped working on those pages. Looking at the code, it seems we load jQuery 1.4 and several plugins, including autocomplete and popdown. In the changes, for some reason, the developer loads jQuery 1.4.2 (after 1.4 has been called) but doesn't call the plugins again. I'm assuming that this is the reason the plugins stop working. Can anyone confirm this theory?
(The reasons why we don't call 1.4.2 earlier in the document are, sadly, mostly bureaucratic. If I can get this confirmation, hopefully I can push through that.)
I'm trying to bind an event handler to a button in a page loaded via Ajax. This procedure should apply to every page I have to load via Ajax. I have tried two things: first, I declared the 'click' event handler for the button like this, and just did my ajax request. Here's the code:
$("#close_button").click(function(){ alert("This should popup"); }); $.ajax({ url: 'js/ajax/text.html',
what i'm trying to do is to acces the content loaded via AJAX but in an other way than by a callback function.i have a div where the data will be loaded via ajax, the data is represented by a list of folders and when i click one of them i want to load then the subfolders and so on, but if i use the callback function this is not gonna be dynamic..cause i don;t know how deep is gonna be the tree.[code]but if i do in this way....first time it works....so id i click <ahref="folder_1">folder_1</a> it loads the subfolders...and if i click then on of the subfolders loaded with ajax it wont work anymore to see the subfolders in the respective folder.
For starters i'm new to jquery and javascript, hence my post here. I've tried to do research but I'm not finding the answers. Here is the problem. the web page i'm working on has 2 area's or panes. one that changes dynamically via ajax and one that stays the same to control the dynamic area. The dynamic content is loaded with the following function to load a given page into the <div>.
[Code]...
When the content is loaded into the div jquery does not work. More specifically i'm using the jquery ui datepicker. The page that is loaded via loadPage() work fine if its not called by the function. but once it is it seems all javascript does not function.
I have a page (index.php) with a pictures carousel that works with css and jquery. I want to loaded a new carousel into a <div> after the page is loaded using the $('#mydiv').load('myscript.php') function that calls a php script returning the html code for the carousel, containing a list of images.So I have a <ul> of pictures that doesn't work as a carousel without the CSS and jquery code that has been loaded on the page when my index.php loaded on the first place.So, since the page has already been loaded the carousel doesn't work properly.It seems like the jquery code for the carousel to work, should execute every time I load a new list of images with the load() function.
I want to load new content into a container using .load ('content.html') after the user clicks on a menu item. and in the new content is a form and i encountered 2 problems. first is that the new content don't comply to my loaded css? the fonts sizes are off and the content seem unformated. second is that i cannot access the data in the new content in jQuery. code...
I have a site that shows off video clips. When a clip is 'clicked' the video and related data is loaded in using jQuery. The page does not refresh. I now need to link directly to different 'videos', but am unable to because a click hasn't taken place to load the video in. It just loads the categories page. What would be the best way to allow me to link directly to the video... ? Will I need to edit my .htacess file? Will I need to somehow work out what clip they are trying to get, and 'fake' a click to impose the video/data on the page?
I am wondering how to select a div on a page that is loaded using the .load() function.I have tried using a function in the callback of the page to select elements but this didn't work.It appears the pages are called after a the document has loaded (which makes sense) thus anything I place on the page that is loading the various data into the the content div can't selected the newly loaded content.I could include the new script on the pages I am loading but this would result in the undesirable editing every page I have made.
I have successfully loaded an element of content from another section of our website on a page, but for some reason it is firing .load() twice and displaying the section of content twice, stacked on top of each other.
i have managed to make things work how i wanted quite quickly but to be honest jQuery is so easy that i'm not sure i completely understood what i was doing .. but it's working anyways ... well almost ...I have an empty div into which i load HTML content from another page. When i click a link on the page, the content from the other page should load and then the div should change background color and then be displayed with a fade animation. When i click on another link, the displayed content should fade out and the new content fade in.Everything works more or less only that when i switch from one loaded content to another, i can briefly see the old content before the new one is displayed, so the DIV fades out, then fades in again with the old content loaded and then only the new content switches in.I think probably i have my code wrong, could someone have a look ?
$(document).ready(function() { var href = $('.bodytext a').each(function(){ var href = $(this).attr('href');
I want to activate an image slider that is placed in a div loaded through an Ajax request. I'm using the JQuery Plugin Anythingslider. I've tried to use code similar to this without success:[URL].. The slide script works if loaded together with main page.But how do I activate a slider placed in a div that has been loaded through an Ajax request?
I'm working on a script to pass the content height to some other element. The whole script is within the document ready function, but somehow Google Chrome thinks the content height is 0 (zero), because it's so fast. When I set a timeout it works correctly, but I don't really like this solution because of the delay.
var contentHeight = ($('body').height(); setTimeout(function() { var contentHeight = ($('body').height();
I'm currently following this tutorial on loading pages with Ajax:[url]...
For some reason when a new page is loaded via Ajax by clicking a link on the left-hand navigation, the new content returned has a large gap that appears on its left-hand side. My question is what's causing this and how can it be fixed?There's not much in the source, so reading the code shouldn't be difficult.
