JQuery :: Doubts On Multiple Selection Employment?

As stated in your documentation, it's possible to iniciate the selector with more than one filter of "^=" kind. But when I try to use that feature it doesn's seem to work. Should it work that way? May I actually use two or more filters of that kind (^=) in the same expression?[code]

I was able to edit it and then download the personalized altered code. BUT I can't figure out how to edit it to get the information to submit to me. I really need to get their resume and information. I dont know if it should submit to my webspace or my email. Email would be easier but either is fine so long as I can read them. When I downloaded the zip file for the application form included a CSS, Images and Scripts folder also an index html page. In the Scripts folder was a file titled wufoo.js which I think I read right to be JavaScript. You have to pay a montly fee to wufoo.com inorder to have your form information sent to them.

I am trying to retrieve selected values from a multiple select object on a page:
*** Selection Page ***
<form name="theForm">
<select name="numbers" MULITPLE>
<option value="1">One</option>
<option value="2">Two</option>
<option value="2">Three</option>
</select>
</form>
What I want to do is to pass the selected values from "Selection page" to its parent window. Right now, I pass the values by doing this (in JavaScript):
window.opener.parentForm.num.value = document.theForm.numbers.value;
I'm assuming if mulitple selections are made (lets say One and Two are selected), document.theForm.numbers.value will be a collection of the selected option values. Is this correct?
If so, how can I retrieve each option value when coding parent window?

I have a script I am trying to manipulate. I can do some basics with it but really need to work something out.
It is basically a calender script where I can select multiple days. I really need to be able to reference the id's of each day(div) selected and basically list how many have been selected.
I'm guessing this might not be enough to go on so I may need to post all of the code but this is the part that makes me able to select the days (divs):
Code:
initBackendEvents:function(){// Init Events for the days of the Calendar.
$('.DOP_BackendBookingCalendar_Day', Container).click(function(){
var day = $(this);
if (!day.hasClass('past_day')){

Is it possible to pull multiple variables from a single dropdown menu selection?
Example:
I have this:
function material_choices_menu() /* Provides Specific Gravity for various materials */{
var data = "Material <select name='material'>";
data += "<option value='.926'>CYCOLAC MG47 (ABS)</option>";
data += "<option value='1.050'>CYCOLAC MG47MD (ABS)</option>";
data += "<option value='.958'>CYCOLAC T (ABS)</option>";
data += "</select>";
document.write(data);
}
I'd like to have multiple option values:
function material_choices_menu() /* Provides Specific Gravity for various materials */{
var data = "Material <select name='material'>";
data += "<option value1='.926', option value2='.005-.008'>CYCOLAC MG47 (ABS)</option>";
data += "<option value1='1.050', option value2='.005-.008'>CYCOLAC MG47MD (ABS)</option>";
data += "<option value1='.958', option value2='.005-.008'>CYCOLAC T (ABS)</option>";
data += "</select>";
document.write(data);
}
I plan to use the first value in some math formulas to determine weights and the rest of the values will just be shown as data for the user and/or possibly a link to the datasheet for the material selected.

Dependable dropdown lists (4 level)
1 Level dropdown list
2 Level dropdown list
3 Level dropdown list
4 Level dropdown list
Every dropdown list is depends on another dropdown list
For example if I select a value from 1 dropdown list then 2 dropdown list will appear. And then I select a value from 2 dropdown list then 3 dropdown list will appear. And if I select a value from 3 dropdown list then 4 dropdown list. Multiple selection will be enable. It means every dropdown list may have hundreds of values. Thus, In this situation of multiple selection of values I analyze that, use of dropdown isn't suitable because if a dropdown value has 500 related values then these 500 values disturb the page design.

Can we retain multiple checkbox selection upon refresh or using pagination for few hundred records? There is a page where user sees all the items which has search box on the field column to perform searches and select items using checkbox besides those items. While searching the items page result changes and previous selected value is lost. Also the selection is lost when I use the pagination link below the result.

I have a form that I am using to generate an email with several user
selected fields being part of it. As part of this form, I have a select
box which allows the user to select which email addresses it should be
sent to. The box works great except that the CGI script I'm sending the
values to can only parse a single line for each field in the form. The
issue comes into play when someone selects more than one value in the
select box, the output of the select box seems to separate each value
on a separate line using a line feed (or carriage return, I can't
tell). The format that the CGI script needs is for a single line with
each of these values separated by a comma. I'm confident that a
javascript can do this fairly easily, but unfortunately, I am not very
well versed in javascript. I've found a few code snippets on the web
that I've mangled together, but since I don't really know what I'm
doing, it isn't working out so good. I've included what I have in the
form right now below (note that I've removed all of the other form data
but the select box code to save space). Code:

I am using jquery with the cookie plugin and I have multiple image buttons that can hide/show multiple elements. My question is how can I add a cookie to this code to remember whether each separate element is opened or closed?
The code,
$(document).ready(function() {
// choose text for the show/hide link - can contain HTML (e.g. an image)
var showText='<div class="expanddown"></div>';
var hideText='<div class="expandup"></div>';
// initialise the visibility check
var is_visible = false;
// append show/hide links to the element directly preceding the element with a class of "toggle"
$('.toggle').prev().append('<a href="#" class="togglelink">'+hideText+'</a>');
// capture clicks on the toggle links
$('a.togglelink').click(function() {
// switch visibility
is_visible = !is_visible;
// change the link depending on whether the element is shown or hidden
$(this).html( (!is_visible) ? hideText : showText);
// toggle the display - uncomment the next line for a basic "accordion" style
//$('.toggle').hide();$('a.toggleLink').html(showText);
$(this).parent().next('.toggle').slideToggle('fast');
// return false so any link destination is not followed
return false;
});
});
HTML,
<a class="togglelink" href="#"></a>

I'm looking to create a screen where there's a box on the left and a box on the right. The left box contains names which can be moved to the box on the right. Between the two boxes will be two buttons, one labeled ">>" to move from left to right and the other labeled "<<" to move from the right to the left.
I've seen this many times but need to create one myself. At first I was thinking of using selection lists with a size of 20 to give it height and also set the width. Then, when a selection is highlighted, the user can click the buttons in the middle to move the selection from one box to the other. Using a selection list gives me access to each individual selection and on the click of the button, I can remove that selection from one list and append it to the other. The problem with this approach is that the grayed out scrollbar is visible. So, I was thinking of using a textarea and that is what brought me here. Does anyone know of such a tool before I try reinventing it?

I started with jQuery a few days ago and rushed into a principal question. Is it possible to use a selector on a result of a selction made before?
code example (which will not work at all, just try to make clear what I want to achieve):
$(".row").$(".idCell") // in the row result the class idCell is unique
Is it possible to to something like this at all and if yes, how is it done?
What I want exactly to do is that if the user double-clicks on a row I want to return the content of the first cell in order to load another form with data according the selected id.
btw, as a last resort I could manually scan the .html() output of $(.row) but I still believe, that the developers of jQuery thought about this problem and there is a more elegant way to accomplish the task.

I am using a slide show to display all images associated with a product output by SQL in a very simple shopping cart. The problem is I can't think of a way to assign the div a unique class/id used to group the images into multiple slide shows as well as for use with the pager associated with each. My code now places all images (regardless of which product they are associated with) into the same slide show, and I understand why, I just don't know how to alter the jquery to dynamically assign then call them.I could easily fix this if the I was hard coding each product and the photos.Anyone know how to achieve this?

Right now I've written a script that after clicking the submit button enables the next tab and selects it. Here's the code:
$(document).ready(function () {
$('#quotesubmit').live('submit', function () {
$.ajax({
data: $(this).serialize(),
type: $(this).attr('method'),
url: $(this).attr('action'),
success: function (response) {
$('#ratesView').html(response);
enabletab(2);
selecttab(2);
}});
return false;
})});
The script works and the tab is enabled and then selected. The problem is that the tab isn't actually loaded. Instead I then have to click on the previous tab and then click back onto the new tab. I've also tried using a $tabs.tabs('load', 2); after the tabs select statement to no avail.

<script type="text/javascript">

$('tr:odd').addClass('odd');
});

But instead of starting over with a new table it seems to just have counted them all so it looks off. Here is the page: [URL].

So I have a three step process where the page loads and there is the first section of checkboxes... as the user makes their selections I want to display the next step which also has some checkboxes. If they select a checkbox from the next step then there's a 3rd step.
If I load all sections at once, all three groups of checkboxes works great as far as accepting selections and passing the proper information.
However if I load only one, then after selection is made, load the next one... the next one using the same code as showing all at once does NOT want to work. I can't select anything.
I'm starting with something like:
[Code].....
one is class=checklist, other is =media,... thinking the naming was conflicting and then I have them each call their own function to keep it separate.
