Basically, I want to be able to change the bolded part from a drop down menu. Like, the user would select a certain item in the drop down menu and it would change the bolded part to a different link (the one corresponding to the drop down menu selection).
On the right hand side you'll see a module called Tinker. Basically its a set javascript button that will change either the background color or the font color of the site. I'm trying to add a button that changes the header font color
Here is the code for the Javascript method.
changeBG function changeBG(num){ document.body.style.backgroundImage = ""; document.bgColor = color[num];
What I've made so far is a page header image with 4 buttons to the side of that, which when clicked will change to a diff image (sprite image, triggered by some javascript I found on the net to change the class of the buttons so that the image changes - and it looks toggled). This works fine and if a 'toggled' button is clicked again then it will delete the class the javascript adds and 'untoggle' it. The final aim of this is when this page is first loaded then none of these buttons are toggled and a default image in the header is shown.
But when one is selected then I want the header image to change to one that is associated with the button that is pressed - I was able to achieve this with an onmouseclick action on the button to change the header image, but if the user then clicked the button again (untoggled it), how would I then be able to change the header image back to the default one? Could this be achieved by some javascript that changed the class of the header image to the one associated with the button pressed, and then if its pressed again then it clears the header image class?
Below is the code HTML Code: <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> [Code].....
I have two swf files that I use as headers on our website; one for day, one for night. I am looking for a script that will change these files depending on the time of day the user hits the site based on their computer clock.
I've already developed a system for doing this which isn't perfect i'm wondering if there is a better solution. Here is the code I got atm.
[Code]...
I don't like the use of key == 8 and length == 1 to detect that chatmsg box is empty, but the event triggers before the val() of the chatmsg actually changes. So is there nothing better I can do?
I am working on a website that uses a random header. I have been trying to figure out how to adjust the code so that the header also serves as a clickable link.
Here is the code that I have:
What do I need to add in order for the header to also serve as a link? I am completely new to JavaScript and I don't understand it very well.
In my code (ASP.NET MVC using Nhibernate) , I do this :
[Code].....
Then I display the result in the DIV named "myFormDOFF" Of course, my .NET code can generate exception. I'd like when I receive an exception didn't change the content of "myFormDOFF" but display the message send by the exception in another DIV.
I'm designing a one page portfolio site. I was able to make this work when I redid it last year but I'm having problems again. I have a fixed header with the content scrolling underneath it. I want the user to be able to click a link and it eases to that point. I got this script from web designers wall. I am such a novice with jquery I don't know where to begin to make this work. I'm not sure how to call from the link in the header to the element on the page. The thing is, inside the contain div underneath the header I have split it into two columns and i've had to rename the divs, I don't know if this is what is causing the problem. For example, in the navigation it is called "work" but I need to call it to I'm guessing "content-work"?? Also would the fact that the jquery loading in the page from google is 1.7.0 while the script is only written in 1.4.2...does that matter?? If I need to post my css I will.
When a particular 'Y' is clicked I need the header value. I can detect the click but I am not sure how to get the header (the day value). It appears that the click event is passing the 'Y'. Does the click event pass other information that can be used to get the header value?
I'd like to know if there is a way to keep a table header fixed on top of a div while I scroll the table rows. I have a div high 200px and the table itself is around 300px so when I scroll down I'd like to always see the header on top. I already use for the table tablesorter so the solution must be compatible with that plug-in.
I'm new to using forums to help solve my coding problems, but here it goes. Basically, I have a JavaScript header ad that appears automatically on page load. There is a button on the ad that allows the user to close the ad, which disappears when clicked. The code looks like this:
[Code]...
What I need to do is have an option for the user to make that ad reappear by clicking a button. I'm sure this is done using an onClick event, but I don't know what the code should look like.
the server doesn't detect an ajax call ('X-Requested-With' header is not sent). I tried forcing it with beforeSubmit and also with ajaxSetup, but no go.
I want to access the headers of pages I load through ajax. However I don't know how to do this with jQuery First of all, I'm only interested in the headers, not its content, so $('#someID').load("somefile.html") ; is not really what I want. Is there a way I can get the XMLHttpRequest object so I can do xmlDoc.getAllResponseHeaders()
I'm using the default accordion example from the UI Demo page.I would like to remove the header part of the menu completely, where it says 'section'. Is there an option or something to do that??
We are working within a CMS and we have a dynamic text header that pulls into the top of the page. The problem is that there are certain titles that are too long and are breaking into other design elements. I'm thinking there should be a way to count the number of characters and then dynamically change the font-size of the header.
how I can limit the "dragability" of an sortable item, to ex. a element inside the item. Meaning, I only want the item to sort when the header of the item is draged. Is there a simple way to do this, or do I have to modify core code/ create a helper to accomplish this functionallity? Have read the docs, but haven't found anything that mentions this..
I want only the Text to be clickable in the accordion-header. I thought the header option is the right way to do so, but it doesn't work. Instead of h3 i want only the link to be clickable: $(function() { $( "#accordion" ).accordion({header:'a'}); }); <div id="accordion"> <h3><a href="#">First header</a></h3> <div>First content</div> <h3><a href="#">Second header</a></h3> <div>Second content</div> </div>
I have a xhtml jsf page that load anothers xhtml jsf pages that have, each page, 1 table with tablesorter enabled, when i load the first xhrml into the DIV the tablesorter works ok, when i load the next page the tablesorter od the page loaded before stops to work. In fact,after debugged the table sorter code, I found that the header.click() of the tablesorter loaded before is being called twice.
