how I would have a series of images pan across the browser from right to left? For example, I have several different images of clouds and I would like them to do a simple linear pan from right to left. Every ten seconds, a new cloud would begin panning. How would I do this in JavaScript?

How can I retrieve x, y coordinates of the browser top left corner in
Internet Explorer?
In Firefox screenX/screenY are working as expected.
In IE, from MSDN :
screenLeftRetrieves the x-coordinate of the upper left-hand corner of
the browser's client area, relative to the upper left-hand corner of
the screen.
screenTopRetrieves the y-coordinate of the top corner of the
browser's client area, relative to the top corner of the screen.
So, screenTop will include titlebar height as well. Using that in
window.open will shift the window down.
I have an anchor I've bound a click event to. When you click it, it checks with "which" wether it was the left or the right mousebutton you clicked. That's all good but on a right click I also get the browsers contextual menu. Is there a way to disable that in the following code I'm using? I've tried return false which doesn't work...

Is there a way in Javascript, or perhaps in HTML, to force a browser to
re-render an image on an HTML page after a round-trip between the client
and the server ?
In my particular case, the image is changing on the server although the
URL for it remains the same, but the browser is still displaying the old
image from its cache rather than the new image from its URL location.
I would like to know if it's possible to have the button of the date picker on the left instead of the right ?

I have been tasked with using javascript to move an image of a bus across the screen from right to left. I have found some code that almost works, but I cannot get the bus to finish offscreen. My question is about the previous and next buttons. At the moment I am using next:'#next2, .pics img', prev:'#prev2', to make previous and next arrows underneath the image as well as use the image itself a "next" button. I would like to remove the arrows underneath the image and just use left and right halves of the image as a previous and next button. Previous being the left half and next being the right half of course. I've been searching for this being posted before and have not found any discussions on it. Is there a way to incorporate this type of button in JQuery Cycle? It seems easy enough to make the image a next button I feel like dividing it between the two shouldn't be that much more difficult.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm busy creating a website and I've implemented a gallery of sorts using this script below to make it move the images, however when it gets to the end of the cycle of images it reads the last image as the last one to reach the left hand side which is obviously quite unattractive. So all I would like to know is if there is someone who can alter this code to make it so the last image is read on the right of the block thus resulting in no blank blocks.
