This code works to insert a MySQL record to a Database using AJAX. It works fine on IE, but it's not working on FF or Chrome. When I test it on FF/Chrome, i just get the text "Just a second..." and it doesn't advance from there.
How do I insert this code...

I want to get the text from a link <a href="">text_I_want_to_get_from_here</a> and insert it after into an input element <input type="text" name="want_to_have_here" value=""> by using jQuery.
I found something with $("#myid").html() to get this, but I am not sure how to use it, really tried but I am a freshman.
i'm busy making a site for a audiovisual company and i'm stuck at the CMS system by adding pictures to a project page. Adding one single photo isn't the problem but I want a button to add a new file input field and insert that second (or thirth, fourth etc etc) into a new row in the database.... The script that i'm using right now, clones the input field but doesn't "activates" it.... You can't select a file....

I am working on a project that requires me to insert info in input boxes (2 input boxes to be specific, firstname, and last name are the two) and transfer that info into a <select> field when the button is clicked. So, let's say in the first input box which is first name I type Tom and in the second input box which is last name I type Smith. When I click the button I want the first and last name to appear in the select field as an option. Now, i tried researching about adding/removing options for the select field, but nothing on getting info from input boxes to put it as an option in <select>.

I have to implement simple LIFO algorithm ( if i can call it like this .. ) say i have html table and and i fetching data i like thet the last data that fetched to be the first record in the table
For example : im fetching the string "111" so it will be the first record next im fetching the string "222" now the string "111" will be the second and the string "222" will be the first .. and so on
I'm trying to replicate a feature found in hotmail, facebook, etc. When you type or select a recipient from an auto-suggest box for your message/email that recipient's name is put into the "To" field box and is encased (usually a blue rounded corner box) with a X to the far right. If the "X" is clicked the recipient is removed.
How can do you put the selected recipient into the encasing and insert it in the "To" field box? If there are multiple recipients how are they differentiated? For example, if there were a ";" between the recipients the semi-colon would separate the values.
I have an HTA I built for essentially email generation with tie-ins to our CRM here. I'm trying to make a section of the HTA do a Show/Hide style interaction. Ergo, if the section is relevant, click show to show the modifiable parameters, etc., if it's not, leave it hidden. I got this to work with hyperlinks but wanted to change it to an input button so when I'm processing the values, I can check if the sections is "instantiated" and if so, process; if not, skip. The weird thing is, I'm alert()ing on the reported value AFTER I set it and it is reporting as correct, it's simply not showing correctly in my HTA. Javascript:
Code:
function HideContent(d) {
document.getElementById(d).style.display = "none";
[code]....
The code works but i need to have he input on the top of the form and it's cal it right.when i move it down it works.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<html>
[code]....
This seems pretty straight forward, but I have no idea what it isn't doing anything.
[code]$kuj('#tl_email').change(function() {
alert('work?');
})[/code]
I have a input box of type text with an id of 'tl_email'.
[code]<input id="tl_email" name="tl_email" type="text" />[/code]
Currently this function is doing nothing (or at least I assume so since I am not seeing the alert). I feel like I am missing something incredibly basic but I can't figure out what.
My problem involves input elements not being visibly updated after $('#selector').val(...) and non-working datepickers (the hasDatepicker class is attached, but the datepicker control doesn't fire up when the input gains focus).
I have a calendar, based on fullCalendar and the fcalendar bundle which chains the fullCalendar to a datepicker and a MySQL/PHP backend.
Now, the base functionality of datepicker works, but it is not sufficient; I need some more attributes for my calendar entries, including date information (including the start and end values, since they must be editable, rather than changing them via drag'n'drop only). Since the html of the form is somewhat complex, it is loaded from a .php page, which is a major change related to fcalendar, where id (#myGeneratedEditor, in my case) is built using HTML code in formStart and formEnd
Here is some code:
The summary of problems: the values which are attached via .val() don't show up the datepickers (one so far) don't / doesn't show up
I am trying to add radio buttons in this quiz script that i'm using, but when i change the drop down box to radio buttons the quiz script stops working, i.e it will not calculate the correct answers / percentage.
I dont think i am correctly adding the input type "radio" and the script cannot recognise the value properly as i'am trying to make custom radio buttons from javascript / css.
Here is the script thats stopped working but how do i make the radio buttons send the correct value to the quiz script?

I'm trying to write very basic page that just takes input from a text box, processes it with a function called DoSearch() when you click the submit button, then redirects to the Google equivalent to display Google's search results. If I put a redirect in the body section it works fine. I've also added an alert in the function and that works fine, but the redirect doesn't. I'll post the source below because it's only short:
HTML Code:
<html>
<head>
<title>Homepage!</title>
<script type="text/JavaScript" language="javascript">
function DoSearch(){
var query = document.SearchForm.query.value;
var url = "[URL]"+query+"&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=";
alert(url);
location.replace("[URL]");
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<center>
<form name="SearchForm">
<input type="submit" value="Search!" name="Search" onclick="DoSearch()" />
<input type="textarea" name="query" size="38" />
</form>
</center>
</body>

I must have missed a bit of information, because I cannot get the jquery.corner plugin to work with <input> html elements. The following renders a rounded div but not a rounded input element in FF3, IE7, IE8, and in fact causes the input box border to disappear completely.

To sum up this issue, I have a parent page, which holds some values in hidden input fields passed to them from the url. On this page, I have an iframe with a form in it, to which I want to pass values from these hidden fields to be displayed for the user in the iframe form. In IE, it works. To accomplish this, im just simply doing a <body onload="GetInput()">. The GetInput function does the following, but for about 10 fields:
Fnamefield=document.getElementById('firstname').value = parent.document.getElementById('firstname').value; Thats it. Once the page loads, i see my values. In firefox it does not work. I know the hidden fields are getting their values, but thats as far as it makes it. I have tried calling the GetInput function after the form is written out and not in the body tag, which still works for IE, but not FF.
