I have this table:CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS Assignments (uid TEXT PRIMARY KEY ON CONFLICT REPLACE, instruction TEXT, start TEXT, stop TEXT, createdTimestamp TEXT, theTimestamp TEXT, taskID TEXT, resID TEXT, flowID TEXT, flowDefID TEXT, currentState TEXT, iconRef TEXT, colorRef TEXT, dispatched BOOLEAN, inStartState INTEGER, inStopState INTEGER, writeLock INTEGER, workItemID TEXT, companyID TEXT, metadata INTEGER)
The thing is that when making a insert and then going to the development toolbar in chrome and look at the storage tab and look at my table. Depending on what is in the table chrome crashes.I drop the table between the executions.The difference here is that "theTimestamp" is something rather then empty. If I set theTimestamp to '10/15/10 3:07 P' it works. But just adding that last M or any other letter will make chrome crash when you try to look at the table. Whether it is by navigating to the table with mouse clicks or writing a select * from Assignments statement.
I have a JavaServer demo I'm working on with a bit of JavaScript and thought I'd try adding some AJAX. Its a forum, and the idea is that a post window is revealed when the reply message is clicked. This button is in a jsp page has an onclick attribute to the showEditor() function below. A cancel button is similarly hooked up to hideEditor(), and the submit button calls copy() with a onsubmit tag. A servlet sends a response which has both the HTML for the post area (its a rich-text editor in an iframe, with a bunch of buttons above it much this one) and a Javascript object called Editor that has handlers for all the buttons and sets up the iframe so it is editable.
I actually got it to work okay, until I removed the last alert() I was using for debugging. Then the iframe stops being editable, and the editor.appendQuote() function either doesn't work or doesn't run.
This isn't terribly important because all AJAX accomplishes here is not sending all the post-related HTML and Javascript unless it is actually needed, which isn't all that much, but it would be nice to figure it out anyway.
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
var editor = null;
function showEditor(node) {
if (node != null) {

I am using mysql4.0. Here i have used one syntax:
create table vimal(Customer int(11));
INSERT INTO vimal(customer) VALUES (001);
which works perfect in mysql5.0. But when i am trying to execute it in mysql4.0, it shows error: "1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '; INSERT INTO vimal(customer) VALUES (001)' at line 1"
I am currently programming Script Adds data to the database but if i want to Shown the data that have been added Requires refresh the page to show the Data that have been added . and I do not want this method.I want to when adding data to show updates as soon as the addition of data.This can be done by Ajax , and An example of this method used Google Gmail.

I'm writing a JavaScript that amends a table by inserting cells. I'm using insertCell().
For row[0] I want to insert cells that are <th> elements, and the default of insertCell() seems to be to insert <td> elements.
Can I use insertCell() to insert <th>? If so, how? If not, what should I be doing instead?
I'm a noob, so sorry if this is very basic. I tried searching this forum, and failed to find the answer to my question.
Is there a way to do this easily?
I found out that for Internet Explorer, html and xml elements are incompatible as far as the DOM goes.
The following code only works with DOM-compliant browsers [code]...
Is there a IE workaround for this that DOES NOT involve recreating the xml?

I am reading the ECMAScript specs trying to figure out if the next
line is a legal statement or not new Foo();
I think the above code may only be legal as an expression and not as a
stand alone statement. Would this make the above a bug?
Douglas Crockford's JSLint will choke on the above line of code and
stop parsing. All the browsers seem to accept it as ok and work as I
expect: the returned object just doesn't get assigned to anything.
The time I have used a line like the above is when the constructor has
side effects and the "class" keeps track of all its instances.
Any ideas what is right or wrong in this case?
I have several text fields on page that I would like to make calculations based on if there is a number input in one of the fields.
So, if the price field is populated, the sale price field would populate using a function to do the calculation.
Now, how do I write the code for this to occur? I know how to get the function to fire based on clicking a submit button, but not sure how to do it simply based on a number keyed into the one field. Is this possible and if so, how?
I'm trying to sort an HTML table (tBody) on one of its columns dynamically.
My approach is to remove all the rows into an array, sort the array, and
insert to rows back into the tBody.
But, there doesn't seem to be any way to insert a pre-existing row into a
table (tBody). I've tried inserting a blank row and replacing it with the
saved row, but this fails as well.
I know about tBody.moveRow(from,to) (this works) but I have to sort the
table by hand, which is painfully slow.
I am trying to have a container div generated by the DOM, holdeverything inside the body. I can't get it to hold the contents in the body.
<html><head>
<style type="text/css">
body {
text-align:center;
}
#container {
width:200px;
margin: 0 auto;
text-align:left;
border:solid 1px #000;
padding:5px;
}
</style>
<script type="text/javascript">
var d = document;
function insert(){
var box = d.createElement('div');
box.id = "container";
d.body.insertBefore(box, d.body.firstChild) // not what I want
// d.body.appendChild(box);
}
window.onload=insert;
</script>
</head>
<body>
This content should be centered and inside the div.
<h3>This text also.</h3>
</body>
</html>

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a newbe to javascript and i would like to create a function which will allow me to insert additional row to html table after every x rows.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm making a cms, and one of the pages requires that I be able to create a new DIV, and be able to re-order the DIVs on the page.
When I first go to the page there will be essentially one DIV container, into which the user can type text. He can then either insert a new DIV above or below the current one and click-drag the divs to re-order them.
I'm new to jquery so I'm not sure this is the right tool for the job. I've also thought about doing the DIV insertion with Ajax, and the DIV re-ordering with jquery.
For example:
Code:
I need to isolate some auto-generated content that is displayed after an end </a> tag, and before a start <div> tag. This text doesn't have any surrounding tags itself, so I need to add some kind of hook to it in order to style it with CSS.
I have tried to use insertAfter to put a <span> after the </a> tag, and then an insertBefore to put a </span> before the <div> tag, but this just results in putting both the start and end <span> tags before the bit of text I want to isolate.

I've tried this, but it doesn't work:

and I was wondering how I can say "if time < 15:30"?
The semicolon looks out of place to me, and indeed it has caused an
error.
