I have some JS that flash cs4 generated when I published my swf. I am trying to do some AJAX and download the SWF and then insert it into the page's DIV tag. How can I do this. Code below:
AC_FL_RunContent(
I'm making a cms, and one of the pages requires that I be able to create a new DIV, and be able to re-order the DIVs on the page.
When I first go to the page there will be essentially one DIV container, into which the user can type text. He can then either insert a new DIV above or below the current one and click-drag the divs to re-order them.
I'm new to jquery so I'm not sure this is the right tool for the job. I've also thought about doing the DIV insertion with Ajax, and the DIV re-ordering with jquery.
Here's what I want to do. Get the value of one field and insert it into another. The catch is I don't know the IDs or names of the fields. I can select the first element using the title and put thecontents into a variable. I have not been able to figure out how put that variable into the second field (basic text input) which I have selected by the title again. I've tried attr(), prop(), text(), val(), etc...
var ct = $("select[title$='Content Type'] option:selected").text(); $("select[title$='SPForm']") ?????? = ct;
If it can't be done this way is there a way to get the ID after I've selected by title?
I have a CSS element defined as #map_canvas {margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;
[Code]...
That does not seem to work although I don’t see any errors and it traces clean in Firebug. Can someone point me to a tutorial to show me how to do that?
I just started to learn jquery. The sitepoint book I picked up and my online research did not yield any results for what I am trying to do.
Basically I have a ul with li in it. I have the ul's width set so that only 4 LI's are displayed in one row and then the next set of 4 gets displayed in next row, etc.
Can I use jquery to simply say 'after each set of 4 li, insert a graphic' .. or insert some html code.
I want a graphical separator between sets of <li>'s
I want to add dynamic rows in a table where I type in the name field and agrip on a button and then it adds in a table,but I was wondering how do I delete each line individually and also how to get the data in this table for PHP.[code]...
I have been trying to insert xml into an iframe. I can do it kinda. The problem is the iframe has <html></html> tags and if the xml has items that look like <head> tags like <title> etc they end up in the head. For example I have a atom file that looks like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <feed version="0.3" xmlns="http://purl.org/atom/ns#"> <title>Gmail - Inbox for bartonphillips@gmail.com</title> <tagline>New messages in your Gmail Inbox</tagline>
I'm working on a navigation menu where I want to insert some html after a UL element.
Here's the statement: selUL.eq(x+1).after('<b>hello</b></div><div class="subMenu">'); I'm trying to insert it after the following <ul> element: <div class="subMenu"> <ul
[Code]...
It's like it's trying to auto correct me. I need it to print everything exactly as I have it, otherwise my navigation won't divide into separate columns. Anyone have an idea why it's doing this? If I remove the <div> elements and just use the <b> element it works fine.
EDIT: After some more testing, the After method seems to strip out any closing elements not yet opened (</div>) and automatically closes any elements opened but not closed (<div class="subMenu">). Anyone know of a way to stop this from happening?
I stumbled upon something which may be by design in jQuery for security reasons, it may be the browsers doing it, but... I found that any JavaScript I try to put into the html of an object is ignored. For example, say username is a variable that was already defined with the user's name:
$("#test").html("Hi there <script type='text/ javascript'>document.write(username);</script>. ");
All the script is just stripped out, in both IE and Firefox.
I would like to know what is wrong here that table rows/cols are not being inserted when using IE8, in FF and Chrome it works fine:What am I doing wrong?
var listFriends = eval(data.list); var col = 0; var ie8 = browser.isIE8;
how to insert every new element into new line? (ATM it starts in a line and then it fills the whole line with elements, and i want to put 1 per lineThe element is select list:
<select id="end" ><option.......>...</> </select> The button used to add new object:
I am trying to take text that is in a <DIV></DIV> and insert it into a <TEXTAREA> tag. in CHROME the line breaks are preserved however in IE I lose all my line breaks.
$("#serviceEdit-notes").val($(this).next().html()); #serviceEdit-notes : the TEXTAREA $(this) is a 'A' linkprecedingthe DIV
Like I said, it works in CHROME, but in IE(8 or 9) I lose my line breaks.
I currently create a grid of svg circles made up of rows. I can animate a circle from one row moving into another row, sorted by some attribute value. But when I use a selector to fetch all circles within a row I get them ordered by when they were added to the underlying DOM.
Is there a way, if I created a group for each row, that when I move a circle from one row and insert it into another I actually remove the svg object from one group and insert in into the other so that it's correctly positioned in the underlying DOM?
I am using $().html to manipulate DOM elements, as an example:
jQuery('#basic).html(..some data...);
I then alter the DOM using a div and id as part of the HTML document. For example.
<div id='basic>change this</div>
This is absolutely fine when manipulating simple things (like numbers or text such as the above) - but when I wish to manipulate a specific attribute of an element wrapped within a div
At the moment I am using $().html to insert the entire element and its attribute list, but this is very cumbersome,inelegantand fault prone (and doesn't seem to work well using JSON).
I can't seem to find a method to Modify Attribute !!
I know that JQuery is a very powerful library and was just wondering if it had the following capability that I really need.
Lets say I need to insert new cells into a table row, I know how to do this basic task, but I need to insert my cells in a highly unusual way due to some of the requirements that are needed for the new cells.
I need to be able to insert cells a certain distance into the row, For example, if a row was 1000pixels wide, is there a feature in JQuery that would allow me to insert the cell 250pixels into the row and have a cell width of 50pixels and insert another cell 500pixels into the row with a cell width of 100pixels. I know how to set a cells width using JQuery, just not distance into a row.
The values wont ever be the exact same as above though because they are actually read from a database, so for example, one cell would have the following values [code]...
I develop a component that inserts radio buttons into an div, after this it use the jquery ui buttonset widget on this elements.
This works like this example:
This works like expected.
But when I submit the parent form or when I register an change event with $('#thediv > input').change(function() {alert('test');}); it does not send the values of this radio buttons.
With firefox it works fine only matters IE7 .
You can see this live in Struts2 jQuery Plugin Showcase goto "Ajax Forms > Buttonset / Radio Buttons"
