View 1 RepliesI am trying to rotate a subtree of images at
but so far i have not been able to make it continuous...
I am having difficulty finding a real time rotation script written in either Javascript or JQuery. I need something that rotates a div or an image by dragging it's corner.
Is this even possible to do? code...
I am trying to rotate 3 images continuously when onmouseover, currently I have a code but this code doesn't rotate continuously and only use 2 images.
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
loadImage1 = new Image();
loadImage1.src = "http://site.com/secondimage.jpg";[code].....
I ran across a chunk of code that allows me to blend images in and out
(works great!) but now I need to figure out a way to randomize the
order that these images appear. I have a bunch of pics and I'd like
to give them all a fair shot at getting seen.
Here's the code:
I wrote a little jquery that will rotate through images automatically and when you click on an it's icon. If I let the rotator cycle throught the images everything is fine, but when I click on it's icon, the div tag that holds the images gets space added to the bottom and I can't figure out why? I tried everything css related so this appears to be something jquery related.
Here is the code that is used for flipping through the images:
$("#button2").click(function(){
$("#block-block-4").fadeIn("fast");
$("#block-block-3, #block-block-6, #block-block-7, #block-block-8").hide(); });

I would like to set up the section on the right that says "testimonials" to rotate between three quotes, with an image next to each quote. Is there a way to do this with a div block that does not have a set size?
I know I can use flash but that obviously would be a set width.
First I'd like to make sure its possible to overlay a html/css nav bar over the bottom of a Javascript as such described (I don't want the navbar links in Java I want them css/html but I want a rotating image banner behind it). I need a Javascript rotating slideshow for my banner images on a homepage 815x209. I'd like it to be able to rotate 5 images or so with fades and have the company logo stay static (not fade). I'd like to be able to simply edit the code myself or something so I can change the images myself as I choose. There is no links necessary in the script, just need it to loop and images interchangeable. Is there a recommended generator that some of you have used and makes things compatible with IE6 and about every browser since then?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm still a beginner to javaScript, but I'm trying to write a script for a simple image change using next and previous buttons. The following script works, except that the images do not rotate in the desired order. The script works as long as you don't switch from next to previous, which is when the wrong images are shown.
<html>
<head>
<title>Button Click 12</title>
<style type="text/css">
button {
font-family:georgia;
font-style:italic;
font-size:12px;
font-weight:bold;
cursorointer;
border:1px solid red;
background-color:aqua;
display:inline-block;
padding:2px 20px;
margin:0 5px;
} .....
Is it possible to rotate text so that is displays vertically using jQuery?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have some jquery that pulls in an image when an error is found on an input field in my form, just a red dot. You are supposed to be able to hover over this dot and it displays a message telling you what you did wrong in the form. FF works perfectly. IE doesn't. When the page refreshes with the error dot, the dot is in the wrong spot. if I put my cursor anywhere on the table it is in, the dot moves. I don't even have to get close to the dot. It jerks 100 pixels or more to the left (where it is correctly positioned). I have examined the css and the style values are identical before AND after the dot moves!How is this possible. I can't track the original wrong position becomes the style values never change!
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith the following code I'm loading images asynchronously into an html document.
$('input.src:hidden').each(function()
{
var img = new Image();
$(img).load(function()
{
[Code]...
As you can see there are some hidden fields in the document that hold the source locations of the images.By looping trough them the images are being loaded, but not as expected. I'd expect them to always be in the order of 18, 19, 20, 21 but instead of that images get loaded, well for as far as I can see, pretty randomly.
had this in browsers areas but people told me I should put it here in Javascript because more people here would probably have seen it before and know why it happens. I have basic Javascript that rotates images. I've noticed any kind of Javascript code that rotates images has this same problem only in Mozilla. When the images rotate in Mozilla in between the rotations, Mozilla browser adds a little colored square that represents a blank image that are able to be seen does anyone know why Mozilla Browser adds that? For example when looking at this page in Mozilla can see it. if you know if this is some Mozilla problem with Javascript and images. Doesn't happen with IE and other browsers shows the images only and nothing else.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need a JavaScript (or something else) that will fade out the web site, on load, and display a series of images, then display a "Continue" button to go back to the web site. I have an idea for a cute (and funny) way to get people interested in my site that has a weird name. I searched high and low (Google!, amongst others) for anything that would be close to what I need, to no avail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to keep chaging my mind about the best way to do this. I am trying to make a gallery that will display images on a page (without a database!) from a folder when a link is cliked. I have used PHP to read the file paths into an array - and this seems to work perfectly. Its output is similar to this:
galleryarray[43]="Autumn 08/Allt Ddrew (7 9)/DSC_0315 (3).JPG";
galleryarray[44]="Autumn 08/Allt Ddrew (7 9)/DSC_0332 (3).JPG";
galleryarray[45]="Autumn 08/Misc/100_7515.JPG";
galleryarray[46]="Autumn 08/Misc/DSC_0042 (5).JPG";

my site is [URL] and on the homepage i have a jcarouselLite that came with the wordpress template that im using. I cannot get it to display more then 3 images, even if i put another <li> item in there.
I've copied and pasted the last image 2-3 times over and it won't display. I've also tried changing it to a new image and putting it at the end and it still won't display.
I don't post on the javascript forum much, because I don't program in javascript. I do most my programming in PHP and I recently designed a script to grab an image everytime it is updated. The images are checked, to see if they exist in the directory, and if not, are added. So in the end, I will have a series of images.
I want to know use a simple (javascript?) script to go through the directory (or an array of the filenames) and display them at X images per second.
As a test, I'm trying to display a sequence of images on an html page. The first image is displayed initially, but when I click on the button (although I can tell that the sequencing is happening, and the image files are on the server where they're supposed to be) the rest of the images do not display.
<html>
<head>
<style type = "text/css">
<!--
[Code]....
$(this).html();
I want to dig out all the images in an rss feed and display them using an image plugin. so I have something like this.
$('div#rss_feed p a img').each(function (){
#('#imageviewer').append(this);
});
Now that worked but I need each image to be in an li element
$('div#rss_feed p a img').each(function (){
var h = '<li class="image"><a href="">'+$(this).html()+'</a></li>';
#('#imageviewer').append(h);
});
I know I cant use $(this) like the above but I want to do something of the same effect. Is there a way to get the html code of whatever this is pointing to?
how to display images according to switch statement value...
for example if case value is rose it has to display rose picture that is stored in our system.
New to Javascripting, new to forum. I searched the forum, and tried to adapt, to no avail. I am building a store and want users to be able to see how two items look together. I have it working, but it uses a drop down. I would like to display many items and have the user click on one "image", from the display of "top" images, to display it on top, and from another section of "bottom" images, click another image to display it on bottom. For instance to see what one plant would look like in different vases. [URL] If I could be picky, is there a way to make it all happen in the BODY of the page? I use DW and a template.

I have a PHP script that will get images out of the database and display them in a grid. I have two verisons. I save a thumbnail which I display and then a larger image in a different folder. These images are placed in a scroll bar but what I would like to happen is that when I click on a thumbnail it basically displays the bigger image until I click on that image and it goes away. I would love for the middle of the image to be displayed in the middle of the users screen but beggers probably can't be choosers in this case.
An example of a similar desired result is a link here:http://qrayg.com/experiment/hig/Instead of the hover, I'd like to utilize the onclick to display and remove the image. If it's easy to put the center in the center of the screen that that would be absolutely incredible as well.
I have been trying to come up with a javascript that will display certain images on my website at a certain time. I found a few scripts but when I tried to customize this one it won't display the images. Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?code...
View 11 Replies View Relatedm tryig to display titles of more than one word of scrolling images when hover on the images. But there is a problem in my code. It shows only the first word when hover the images. e.g the images title is "My first image" then it will display only 'My' as the title. Is there any option to fix this problem using the javascript.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using wordpress for my site and I would like to display images of my jewelry based on tags.I have 160 images total. Different kind of material, color, shape and type. . I want to have a default image load first when you arrive on the page, then that image will get updated based on what tag you select. Like with color, there is black, white, red and green. For type it's necklaces and earrings. So I would have the same necklace, but there is a black and a green version for example.So say by default I have a black necklace that loads when you go to this page.If you press the green tab, then I need to fetch that same necklace in green. I have my tags set up right, I just need to be able to call up the correct image.Ideally I would like to have an image in the middle of the page, with icons of options on the above, to the left, right, and below the image.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to access code in an external javascript page (random.js) which I have done. But then I have to create a second script element to create the function showlmg() and within that I require statements to declare a variable named imgNumber equal to the value returned by the randomInteger() (which is from the external sheet found in data files from the textbook therefore I know they are right). I am supposed to use 9 as the value of the size parameter in the randomInteger() function. The second statement should be command that writes the following text to the document: <img src='imgNumber.jog' alt= ' '/>.
So basically the coding I have done is:
<script type= "text/javascript" src= random.js"> </script>
<script type="text/javascript">
function showlmg() {
var imgNumber= randomInteger(9);// Return a random number from 0 to 9.
document.write("<img src='imgNumber.jpg' alt=''/>");
}
</script>
All in the head of the document and then
function randomInteger(size) {
return Math.floor((size+1)*Math.random());} from the external file.
and
<tr>
<td colspan="2" class="center">
<script type= "text/javascript">
showlmg();
showlmg();
showlmg();
showlmg();
showlmg();
</script>
</td>
</tr>
To post in a table on the page... I believe the issue is in the declaring a variable the is equal to the result of the function random integer which the text book or anywhere that I can find online fails to explain how to do.
