I am using an HV Menu and want to be able to overlap the parent menu over the background image used for the menus. Each menu item has a background image and I would like the menu to open overlapping this image. Not sure how to do this but am pretty sure it is in the menu_com.js file.

as I can see. I have been trying to write script that produces an array
of attribute components within an HTML element.
Consider the example of the HTML element TABLE with the following
attributes producing sufficient complexity within the element:

Note that the HTML was created as a string in code, and thus there are NO
newlines ('
') in the string, as if a file was parsed...so newlines are
not an issue. The only whitespace is the space character ' ' itself,

I want to write an RE containing paranthesized substring matching that
neatly orders attribute components. The resulting array, after the
execution of the string .match() method upon the example, should look as
follows:
attrs = [ "id", "machines", "class", "noborders inred", "style",
"margin:2em 4em;background-color:#ddd;" ]
I can then march down the array (in steps of 2) setting attributes
(name=value) to the element using standard DOM interface methods, right?
In approaching the writing of the RE, I have to take into account the
characters permitted to form the attribute name and the attribute value.
I assume a start to the RE pattern as:
<attribute name>=<attribute value>
I then try to find the right RE pattern for <attribute name>, keeping in
mind what the legal characters are for attribute names according to the
HTML standard ("recommendation"):
[A-Za-z0-9-]+
I believe this patterns conforms to the standard for attribute values:
[,;'":!%A-Za-z0-9s.-]+
That pattern tries to be more exclusive than inclusive, although I think
just about every character on the planet, including a newline, is
acceptable in an attribute value, at least the kind one might see in an

I am looking out for a regular expression that takes the following format

where
textfile = name of the file
2006 = year
07=month
11=day
11=hour
34=minute
41=seconds.
.txt is extension
The file always comes in the same format. however we need to implement checks so that user doesnt enter invalid month/day/hour/minute etc.
I have created the following regular expression

So basically the first one runs if BMFNP is checked, and INTEF isn't it checks INTEF and runs the alert. At that time, both are checked so it runs the second function. How can I fix this? I need both to work and display different messages for each situation, if BMFNP is checked, INTEF isn't check INTEF and alert it has been added and BMFNP can only do xxxxx. If both are checked, simply alert that BMFNP can only do xxxx, no need to alert it has been added.
For layout issue in IE6, I have used bgiframe for a pop up.But that bgiframe comes behind jquery flexigrid component which is not suppose to do so.I want that bgiframe to come above that flexigrid component.Any reason why it is blocking bgiframe?....can anyone give me a solution?.

I am trying place an AP DIV which floats above a jquery cycle plugin slideshow. It uses transparency so you can see the images through the Div box percentage colour.
At the moment the AP DIV can only sit behind the jquery slideshow.

The problem is that the height of the second level menu results in their being gaps in between each menu item so that as you move your mouse down the second menu items it quickly closes again. scripting novice fix this by telling me which variable I need to change either in the Java script or the CSS files.

As can be seen from above posted code there is a line "<div id="' + menuSlider + '" style="display:none">". Appending that -- AFAIS -- the .append is automatically (????) adding "</div>" which closes the statement. That breaks my idea of the whole concept! The menu part isn't included in the 'menuSlider '. QQ: How to change it -- NOT to have that "</div" added to it??

All fine and well, but what i want is that once i click a menu item, the previously clicked item should have the active state/class toggled off.. The menu is variable. The problem is, that if the last menu is near the end of the browser, than the sub - sub menu will go off side the browser.
How can I set the menu to automatically expand on mouse rollover instead of click? Here is the code as it stands right now:

Second Question: For some reason, the menu is appearing behind a table row when it expands, thus hiding a good portion of the menu. Here it is: [URL]
Try clicking on 'Products & Services', and then clicking on "Centerfire Rifle Suppressors" from the dropdown menu. When it takes you to that category page, click the menu again and you will see that the menu hides behind the <h1> table row.
Am working on a web template similar to this one: [URL] and would like to change the hover color for the menus (in blue with white text). What would be the best color to match if the menu background is left as it is when hovering on a menu item?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe purpose of the code is to slideToggle open one of two hidden sub-nav bars when either of two different menu items are clicked upon - instead of a drop down menu. What doesn't work is the hiding of the div that is not required, if it is already open. Viewing in firebug shows that the appropriate classes are being applied - I suspect the reason is that slideToggle has been somehow set and cannot be unset via another object - but perhaps that is not it at all?

I needed a sidebar menu that, when a user clicks the <h3>, a submenu expands. When the user then clicks on a different menu item, the previous submenu disappears meaning only one submenu can be visible at one time.
Now the code I have at the moment (from jQuery forums) works. It now needs a bit more refining so that it works the way I intend.
When you first load the page, all of the submenus are collapsed which is a real pain as each submenu has 20 - 30 selections.
Is there a way to have them all hidden initially?
Is there a way to get an open submenu to close by clicking on the H3 title again?
