Im trying to work out a way of entering the contents of a div (which changes regularly) into a form field when it is focused on.The issue is that the div containing the text value is in an iframe of a php file (gallery.php).The div (#lbBottom) text contents that I need to use is the caption of the current photo open with a light-box style jquery plugin (slimbox). The gallery is formed using the php and needs to be in an iframe to align the light boxcorrectly. #lbBottom is generated by title="Code: $alttag1" and give a result of Code: +the current photo number. Ideally it is just the photo number (last 2 characters) that I need but the contents of the div will do!

pageone.htm has an iframe with pagetwo.htm inside pagetwo has a form with a hidden field that has a dynamic value.I'm trying to get that value from pageone.htm using:var myid = window.frames['myiframe'].document.forms['myform'].elements['page'].value; This is working, but I just get the value that the field had when I did:

for the first time. All the alerts after the first one have the same value even when myid is changing in pagetwo.htm (tested alerting it in there).I thought that by using setInterval I would be checking for a fresh value every 9 seconds but what I get is the same old value every 9 seconds

I want 2 things and I do not know how to get them: I have a form with 100 fields to fill and 90 are the same kind: some of these 90 texboxes will countain the same things :
or a word (like "nothing") prefilling all the textboxes that can be change "onFocus"; that is the 1rst thing I don't know how to do). or a choosen word coming from a first textbox in a first form with some precisions (in some other textbox) about the position in the 2d form to place in multiple fields of the 2nd form.
I have ONE page which consists of php, html, and javascript, all on the same page. I have 3 different listboxes on a form, their named id's are: "strike", "grapple", and "strength". I have a span tag named id as: "pa". I Have a variable which is constant and named $totalValue and its vale is: 30, I have another variable named: $availableValue which will get its initial value from $totalValue. What I want to do is this, a user will choose his/her first list box. When the uses clicks the arrow on the listbox it drops down filled with values to choose from, these values come from the $availableValue variable and should be displayed as: 1,2,3,4,5,etc,etc,etc, after the user makes their selection the value of $availableValue is decreased by the amount of the user's selected choice and the value of the $availableValue is displayed on the html part of the page in a span tag.
The user will then choose his/her second listbox, upon clicking that arrow the listbox drops down displaying the REMAINING values from $availableValue variable and displays them as: 1,2,3,etc,etc,etc, after the user makes their selection the value of $availableValue is decreased by the amount of the user's selected choice and the value of the $availableValue is displayed on the html part of the page in a span tag. The user will then choose the last listbox, and upon clicking its arrow the list drops down with the LAST REMAINING values from $availableValue and will be displayed as: 1,2,etc,etc, after the user makes their selection the value of $availableValue is decreased by the amount of the user's selected choice and the value of the $availableValue is displayed on the html part of the page in a span tag.
The user should be able to choose which ever listbox he/she wants as their first listbox. So for argument's sake lets say the user chooses listbox "grapple" first, but of course the user could have chosen any of the 3 listboxes first, but he/she choose "grapple" first. The "grapple" listbox should fill with values 1 to 30, ex: 1,2,3,4,up to 30, the user selects value 5 from "grapple", the $availableValue variable will decrease by 5 and the value of $availableValue is displayed in a span tag. The user then chooses listbox "strength", its values should be filled and displayed with values from 1 to 25, the user selects 8 from "strength", the $availableValue variable decreases by 8 and the value of $availableValue is displayed in a span tag. Finally the user selects listbox "stamina", it listbox displays the values from 1 to 17, the user selects 17 from "stamina" and the $availableValue variable decreases by 17 and the value of $availableValue is displayed in a span tag. All this should happen BEFORE I submit the form via php code.

My friends and I have developed a chat service that uses Live Profiles to login to chat. The issue I am having is I need to autofill the login page with my email/password to speed up login and I was told JS would be the best way to do it, however, I can't seem to figure out how, lol. I tried sending the login info in a url and bookmarking the url to no avail. The link to the page is below.
I've made this javascript portion to a site for a company that I am working for and I'd like to use it to fill in a form on another part of the website. Unfortunately we bought the rest of the website from basically like a web template company so they wont let us change the script on that actual page. Is there anyway that I can take my info from my javascript page, then use it to fill in the info on the other page without actually editing the html of that page?
I am having a problem with the last results. I can't seem to be able to get the input2A and input3A to appear. I don't seem to have a problem with the show and hide after a number is entered and submitted. If anyone can answer my problem I will be greatly appreciated with a prize. I am ripping my hair out trying to set the src (location.href) of an IFRAME that i show once a user clicks on a certain link:

When the IFRAME is displayed it just shows about:blank and not the location.href I set for it. After the first time, i click on the same link and it shows me the correct address in the alert box in ShowFrame(), but the iframe remains blank.
What I get in IE is the "YO!" written to the iframe. What I get in Firefox is the 404 not found page of the site where the original "jstest.html" page and script are hosted.
INTRO: I tried to clean it up for easy reading. I hope I didn't make any mistakes.
PROBLEM: WOW, this is some crazy sh!t. I can't get my checkbox (see "TAGSELECTED") to print my textboxes (see "TAG#") when more than 1 number (see "VLANS") is inputed into my form.

I have made a script where you can add extra fields, and next to the row is a span that automatically displays the outcome from a calculation of three fields in that row. i.e. Q x (B - A) = total. Here is the bit that does the calculation:

I am using jquery.autoheight.js [URL] to adjust the height of the iframe according to content.
It works fine for the static content while loading. If I try to use the content with expand/collapse or display some content dynamically, its not adjusting according to the new content.

implementing a method to intercept and redirect external links to a dynamic iframe. By "dynamic" iframe I mean an iframe whose SRC would be filled up in accordance to the external URL being intercepted and that it would resize its HEIGHT accordingly in order to avoid scroll bars.The function for resizing the iframe id="child" is already correctly implemented like so:

This "replacement" function would be called onLoad and if tested true would run and refresh the page with the proper value in the iframe SRC.All this should be accomplished while still making the iframe HEIGHT dynamically adjustable and show a "clean" URL in the browser, such as "http:[url].....The potential issues I foresee is an infinite loop due to two onLoad queries (one for SRC, another for HEIGHT) in the parent and child objects, which might required a merge into a single script.
In Opera, the dynamic resize of the iframe isn't working correctly. As you can see in the code, I have set a minimum height of 200px so the iFrame should always be a minimum height but if the content requires it will increase. It works fine in IE8, Safari, FF, Chrome but not in Opera. In Opera it just sets the height at 200px.
When i try to dynamically change the height of an iframe in ie through a java-script to match its content (a html page containing a flash movie, it doesn't resize the iframe at first, but when i reload the same page into the iFrame it resizes as planned, how come?This script works well in firefox, safari and netscape, but i cant get it to work in ie(8, 7). And i get the same problems with every resizing script i've tried. This is the script i use:

I have a flash menu in the first iframe, the buttons on the menu uses getURL(siteToLoad, "contents") to load another html-page into the iframe "contents". Is it possible to make the iFrame refresh automatically though javascript so that i just refreshes the iframe once? Everytime ive tried that it just ends up in a never ending refresh-loop... How can i make this work? Is there any better script for resizing (and refreshing after resize) the iframe height so that it matches to its content?
I am trying to get an iframe to have dynamic height - I want it to resize to fit the contents of the page.There is a four or five step process within the iframe. So for example, page 1 is rather short, and it'll have a link that sends you to page 2, which might be rather long.I have no control over the pages I am using in the iframe and they are on another domain.I have googled and and searched the forum and I've yet to find anything that works. All the Iframes are on the same domain but I only have acess to the innerPage Code and not to the iframes that have the applications.Now we want the innerpage to automatic resize to the current content. This is being a problem (even after using jQuery Plugins or Resize Scripts) because:
1)The Iframes that have the applications change content height using Ajax/DHTML (not triggering load event) and this resize scripts wont call the resize mechanism.
2)I don�t have access to the applications source
3)On some tests ive made using Scripts ( for example Auto Height Jquery, SSI Dynamic Drive )some iframes display the same clientHeight and ScrollHeight Even if theres a scrollbar in the browser window.

I'm working on a script that will produce multiple dynamic forms based on the results of an ajax request. The ajax request does a db query that will return 0 to x number of rows. For each row, a new serialized form is created. Since the forms do not exist at page load, I'm having problems getting the value of the form elements so that I can run other functions on them (update inputs and selects). I've stripped down everything so that I can show a basic example. In the example, how would I get the value of "#orderID"? The body contains a div (previousList) that has a list of items that when clicked will trigger the ajax query. It also has a div (line details) that will hold all of the forms that are generated.

If I fill out the textfields properly with Name, Email etc in a row it is fine. But if I fill out, for example, my Name, then tab twice, it clears my entered value. How do I stop this?
