Flash Movies Slideshow - Animation Change When Clicking The Next Button

there is some kind of flash rotator on the home page. This is my code attempt to move between preloaded swf animations using javascript. I've tried giving id of the object or embed but this won't help. Of course this is not that simple and the code isn't working. My intent is to have animation change when clicking the next button.

1) in the object tag add the following parameter <PARAM NAME=wmode VALUE=transparent>
2) in the embed tag add the following attribute <EMBED src="jet.swf" wmode=transparent ....
3) add the same name-value pair to the following script <script type="text/javascript">

I've run into a problem on a particular project, and it seems to be browser specific. [code]...
Now, this works all fine and dandy in Firefox and Safari, but in the IE's, it will switch properly, but if you switch while in the middle of a movie playing and then switch back to it, the video is paused at the spot where the switch happened and will not play again. That does not happen in Firefox or Safari. Your thoughts? Is this just a cache thing with IE that can't be worked around?

I'm cooperating with some friends on making the design for a website. I'll be handling all the flash stuff. I'm very good with Actionscript, flash's scripting language. What I'm trying to do is this: in the Home page, I want to add a big flash animation, that goes on top of the normal content (as in a higher layer). The animation will end after some point, after which I want to get rid of it, sort of like a welcome animation, that vanishes off after it ends. This way when someone accesses the website, they'll be greeted to a small non-annoying animation that overlaps the rest of the page, and then they'll be left with the Home.
The problem is this: I don't know how to do it. I don't know javascript. I do know that actionscript is based in javascript. I've been fooling around on some javascript tutorial pages and indeed they are pretty similar, so I'm not entirely helpless.But I can't find what I'm looking for. After a set amount of time, how do I get rid of the flash in the document? Can I eliminate it, make it invisible, unvalidate it or whatever?I thought that instead of having the animation in another page that redirects to the Home, this would be a great opportunity to finally learn how to integrate flash with websites.

I'm working on a javascript / flash real estate presentation, and everything is working well, however their is a small issue involving animation when the flash slide show transitions to another image.

Basically if you click the view / hide agent info at the top when the pictures transitions you can see the obvious flaw that occurs.I'm using the slideUp / Down effect in jquery, and some flash slide show plugin from the net.It appears that the problem is when the whole image is actually being rendered. In Chrome it works fairly well, the problems are in Firefox and (surprise) IE.

I'm just about to start developing a hotel website and in a moment of misplaced enthusiasm I suggested to the client I'd offer a "by day" and "by night" style switching option for users. I'd anticipated using a jQuery plugin for this as I use jQuery for all other Javascript functionality, however, I've now realised I'll have to also load a different flash slideshow when the styles are switched. Does anyone know if there is an existing plugin which would handle this, or would i have to write this myself (god forbid! although hopefully there wouldn't be too much to it)?

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes anyway. My QT animation has sound that goes with it and needs to be timed accurately. Anyone have any ideas what I can use and able to have it play on most browsers, mobile, etc?Just to make it a little more difficult, I need to place the animation as an overlay on top of other page elements.Flash would be a solution, but I don't want to make into flash because it won't work on iOS..This is a simple animation of stick figures and no background. If I didn't need sound I would just elect to go with a gif format which would have worked perfectly in this case.

I want to implement a little JavaScript that allows the picture to be
swapped for a virtual tour, a QuickTime mov file. Here is the syntax for
the test.mov file that should replace the test.gif

basically areas that the user can click on to get the next virtual tour /
movie. Now, in test.mov, there is a hotspot66, when you click on it,you are
supposed to link through to NewMovie.html (which would contain
NewMovie.mov), but I want the same file to remain on the screen and
NewMovie.mov to be placed into the image area.
Seems that we have moved (prematurely of course) to JavaScript 102....

The world map (an image map) that I have shows three continents; namely, America, Asia, and Europe. They are in yellow color. This world map is placed in a HTML file.
Every continent is clickable. By clicking on a continent; say, America, I pop up a window in which some information America is displayed.
And when a continent is active, its color on the map is changed to orange color. Therefore, I have made three more image maps: America is in orange color, Asia is in orange color, and Europe is in orange color.
How do I switch image (i.e. showing the orange color of the continent) after a certain continent is clicked by users?

I have a button at the bottom of the page and when i click on it, the page goes to the top.I want the page to stay at the bottom.I tried to use window.scrollTo(0,1200); which works only for a quick second and then continues to go to the top.I found the link, but nobody ansewered at the end: with subject: Scroll down after onclick event So, how can i set the scroll bar to stay at the bottom?

I need a code that when a button or image is clicked then a div's width and height are changed. I've managed to get a few codes that does this, but the real problem is that, the contents of the div is an embedded flash file and i thought that by setting the flash width and height to 100% then the flash would fit to the new size of the div, but it just didn't work. I need a code that when a button is clicked then the div's and the flash's width and height are changed.
Please have a look at the temp website latinunit net / temp / , you will understand where I am coming from. On the right hand side I have a flash chat in a div , div is controlled by a script that allows it to follow the scrollers up and down. My goal is to add a little button in the same div that says expand or maximize so when clicked the the div expands as well as the flash file.
