I have a form that has 9 pairs of fields on it. I'd like to change this so that there are only two blank pairs of fields displayed. As the user fills out a pair of fields, it adds another pair of blank fields. This way, the user can fill out as many as their heart desires, but those who don't have that much information to provide, aren't confronted with an unnecessarily huge form of blank fields.
View 5 Replies View RelatedHow do I disable the submit button if all required fields in a form are not filled in? Say I have a form with Name, Age,message, and email. Name, message and email must be filled in or else the submit button will not show or will be disabled and then enabled once filled. If the fields are filled in then the submit button will show. If the fields are filled in but then one is deleted then the submit button will hide. Ideally if I can have it disabled that will work, if not I will settle on hide at this point.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHere is my issue that I am trying to resolve. I know how to make a field in a form required for validation however what I am trying to do is require that at least one of two available fields is filled in. The form performs a search using the 'first name', 'last name' or both. What I need is for the form to require at a minimum that at least one of the two fields is filled in prior to sending it to the script to do the search.Here is what it should do in each instance:
[first name] [NA] = form submitted
[NA] [last name] = form submitted
[first name] [last name] = form submitted
[na] [na] = Not submitted
How can I make sure all the below fields are filled with integers or return false and show a simple alert message if it's not in jQuery:
<input type="text" name="productids[1]" value="" size="3" />
<input type="text" name="productids[2]" value="" size="3" />
<input type="text" name="productids[3]" value="" size="3" />
I'm running two different forms on one page.Each form goes to a different place - one form does stuff on a different server and one form does stuff on the same server.This is being accomplished by using the following script (found here on WebDeveloper)
HTML Code:
<script language='javascript'>
<!--
function doit()
[code]....
The first form starts like this:
HTML Code:
<form id='form1' name='form1' action="http://www.coolcart.net/shop/coolcart.aspx/starkeepsakes" method='POST'>
The second form starts like this:
HTML Code:
<form id='form2' name="form2" method="POST" action="attachscript.php" enctype="multipart/form-data" target='_blank'>
There is no submit function in the forms.
After the two forms are listed, there's one link that processes both forms at the same time when clicked:
HTML Code:
<div align="center"><a href='javascript:doit()'>Click Here To Submit</a></div>
Here's the good news: THIS WORKS. This is not the problem.The problem is my client wants most/all of the content in form2 to be filled out. If the fields are not filled out, then something happened that says in effect "yo. fill that out!"I've tried to use javascript validation scripts and they don't work. Presumably because they depend upon
HTML Code:
<input type="submit" name="submit">
Which is NOT how the form is told to post.
I'm facing a validation error, whenever I leave any of the fields blank, it gives me a warning and then it redirects me to (index.php?option=com_ccnewsletter&view=ccnewsletter)What I wanna know is how can I freeze the page until all fields are filled?This is the javascript code:
<script type="text/javascript">

I have a simple three-field form in a UI Dialog that, prior to POSTing, I need to validate using the jQuery Validation plugin.Currently, if the user clicks the form's Submit button (the form's action for the PHP form handling is the page with the link that opens the Dialog in the first place) with a field not properly filled out, the Dialog just closes.Clicking again on the link that opens the Dialog form will show the form with the error message(s) that the Validator generated on the previous click of the submit button.How can I keep the Dialog open and prevent a POST until the form validates?

There are two input fields in a form, but only one of them is required, they are not required at the same time. Either A or B is required. ( A is required OR B is required). In other words, a user can input data to field A, or he can input data to filed B, but he can not input data to Both A and B at the same time. How to implement this constraint in Jquery form validation?
View 17 Replies View RelatedBasically, I've setup a form to have all the required data written to a csv file. Now, The only thing is some of the non-required fields are filled in and some people don't fill them in, so when I import it into excel, the fields move about. What I need to know, is there a condition I can set to have a value written into all the empty fields when it is submitted?
Here is where I am with that so far:
if (app100.address2.value == "") {
doc.write("N/A");

I have a form in which a user can create from 1 table to 10 tables which will dynamically create 2 HTML radio buttons, 12 checkboxes and 1 select drop down and 7 input textbox per table in JavaScript.
I need help with printing the whole form with currently filled values.I tried window.print() but it only prints which is visible on the screen. It doesn’t print the bottom section which you have to scroll down to view.
I also tried the following code as well but it prints radio buttons, checkboxes and select drop down with default value, not with the values currently selected or checked.
function CallPrint()
{
var answer = confirm("Do You Want to Print The Case?")
if (answer)

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have been looking for the past 2 days for a script that I can add and delete table rows.
I have found a lot but so far all of them add an input field but I desperatly need a textarea or ideally a section of input fields.
I have tried to change the code from input to text area but none of them worked.
Have you come across to a similar script.
I would appreciate any contributions.
What I am trying to do is a page where the user will add their employees details so we can order business cards for them. So I have fileds such as, Name, Tel Num, Email, Cell etc.
I have this order form where the customers can change the quantity by intput in a text field.I would like to have the text field changed with select fields, but doing so in the form, the script is not doing anymore.Can anyone have a look and tell me what to change in the scritp to accept select fields in place of the text fields.

I am having a problem with the submit() method that is driving me nuts. I'm using document.form.submit() with large text fields (approx. 2000 characters) and am getting a "Invalid Syntax" error. If I do the same thing with a text field of under 1500 characters, it works fine.
Is there some size limit here that I don't know about?
Having a few problems with a form validation script. Its supposed to stop sending the form if key fields are missing, but it just sends them anyway!

We're using Malsup's form plugin v2.82 and jQuery core 1.6.2. We're having issues in IE7 where, on a form with file upload, form fields are being dropped before the form is submitted to the server.We tracked it down to the `fileUpload` function, specifically line 196 where each field in the form data has `.attr('disabled',false)` run against it. If we change this to`.prop('disabled',false)` it all works fine.I don't see a clearly marked place to submit bug reports for the form plugin, and wanted to verify that others see this as well,
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble changing the font color of my labels ONLY when I stop the form from submitting due to blank fields. I'm not sure whether if just changing my CSS will achieve what I want, or am I going to have to add somethig to my if else statement, or both? I would think I would need to change CSS to :
label.onfocus {
color:red;
}
but a little confused on what else.

I have two js scripts running on my project at the moment, one is uses mootools and the other uses jquery-1.2.3min, both work but not if they are on the same page.The mootool adds the pop out effect to a form box and the jquery enables the nav switch for 2 boxes that contain different form fields for a search engine. Now I've been reading up on the two and have decided to favour jquery which means I have to reproduce the same effect in mootool but with my limited knowledge it's proven rather hard.The mootool code:
var isExtended = 0;
var height = 165;
var width = 240;

I have a form that has a reset button, and when it's closed, the form is reset. However, at least in testing on my own machine, I notice that the form fields are remembering past input (on Firefox 4 anyway). Once this goes public, I don't want the form remembering anything in case the website is viewed on a public machine. How can I keep the form fields from remembering any past input?
