I'm having an issue with doing a simple js task. I have a list of hyperlinks that contain various paths. For instance: a href="[URL] a href="[URL]
What I need is to remove the term "content" from all the hyperlinks in it's contain div. There is got to be a simple way of doing this and I can't seem to find the right direction. I also need to have the targets changed as well, which I was able to complete. window.onload = function(){
var anchors = document.getElementById('containerDiv').getElementsByTagName('a'); var links = "content"; for (var i=0; i<anchors.length; i++){ anchors[i].setAttribute('target', '_blank'); } }
I'm just wandering, how can you stop the replace() function from replacing characters inside a word, such as, if I try to replace 'x' with 'and', then my string would go from 'example, x' to 'eandample, and'.
i want to ask that is it possible that using javascript injection the contents of a web page can be altered (add / edit / deleted) in Line of Code.Since, this has happened with me couple of times,talking to the support team at my hosting provider, they say that its due to the security holes in the Coding, but i think that its the security issue at the hosting side (since modifying the web pages code)i've found this code immediately after the opening of the body tagearlier the page snoofing for the above URL was working, but now its not producing the output. (so can not post whats inside it).My Another website (hosted by the same provider) is also infected. there the code immediately after the body tag is again the page snoofing yeilds no output with the error
I have a long paragraph and I have been asked to display words in red and green in such a way that that fist word should be red, 2nd word should be green, 3rd word should be red and 4th word should be green and so on. For example: this is just a sample.
It launches in IE and give the user instructions, then at the click of a button, launches my setup.exe. I want my webpage to launch setup.exe then go to another webpage on my CD, congratulations.html, which says "installation is complete etc". Here's what I am trying to do through JAvascript. It doesn't work. Should the first instruction be flushed in order for the 2nd one to work?
I want to use the values of text boxes on my HTML webpage to create a webpage URL (like below):
<script type="text/javascript">
My text boxes are as follows:
Now this all works and the result webpage URL prints to id='ID1', but the big question is how do I use this resulting URL in another Javascript section as the src="?
I am trying to display a webpage from another domain and tried to access its elements and I am facing issues with this.
I tried using "iframes" and am facing cross domain issues.
All that I want to do is, set and get the attributes of the elements of the webpage from the other domain (eg: set text field value, get dropdown box values, click button etc)
Is there a way to get this job done?
I thought of browser addons however it will be a browser specific solution.
Could anyone know the script code for a WEBPAGE ON TOP OF A WEBPAGE? The site was not working anymore, so I can't tell you the link. This is what I saw, When I visited the site (Mainpage) There's just a Welcome Image that shows CLICK HERE TO ENTER. After clicking the link, a loading faded icon appears on top of Welcome Image covering that Welcome Image with Webpages, it's like popping to the center of the page. I don't know if someone of you could understand me. It's like Page on TOP of another Webpage without leaving the 1st page.
Can somebody tell me how I would go about allowing the user to click on a link to put content in text box A and then another link to put different content in text box A and so on. Finally, when onsubmit is fired, all the content created for each individual link (using the same text box) is sent to SQL Server.
I want to change which videos I have on [url]. For the speeches video there is [url]which contains only references to speeches.swf.. not speeches.flv which is the video file itself.
I have created new flv's of the same dimensions as the existing ones, but do not know how to edit an swf as to which flv it points to...
I have this scroll to top code, but to edit the problem is that I will not see this eksamplen the page evry time, would like to reach all the way down on the side to be displayed. Here is Scroll to Top code:
if it is possible to edit the contents in a iframe to match your sites needs, like for example css/html. Is there any way this can be done in javascript or regular html?
I'm wrestling with this bit of code that almost works but does not. I'm only guess is that I need to find a way to edit the actual CSS document from the outside... which I'm assuming isn't possible. Is it? I've got a basic CSS Rollover effect going on. The kind that changes the background-position on hover. However I've defined the actual background image with PHP (a custom field in Wordpress) as a style="..." in the <a> tag. When I define the background-image in the CSS it works! When I define the background-image as a style="..." it does not work. Can I use javascript or something to edit the actual CSS document?
It seems that there should be a way of having a customer form with a dropdown, in which you can filter the dropdown, then select a customer from the filtered dropdown. An example is the following images from a networked database. The example has a search dialog, then fills the dropdown with the filtered results. Then you select which customer, or in this case pet from drop down, at which time that record is displayed. Surely there's an example of this somewhere, I just haven't found it. The google suggest isn't the same.
And, notice, the values are all in text boxes this way so as to override the current value if necessary. Using a dropdown alone you can't override a value. Anyone know of an example?
I have a script which gathers information from a form and, if needed, writes this info to a 'preview' window. At times {tokens} are used in place of real html tags. How can I tell the script to look for "{" and "}" and replace them, respectively, with "<" and ">".
I tried using "str = str.replace(/{/g, "<").replace(/}/g, ">");" but that didn't work. The script in question is being written by PHP... thus, may be generating a syntax-based failure. Any ideas?
What I want, is the code to look for a particular ID of an img, and then change the filename (but not the whole path) of the image.
For instance... if the path was "../images/headin.gif", the javascript would find this by the ID, and change to "headin" to "headdown".
I know I can do something like... if(a.getAttribute("img").indexOf("headin")) {
but then I need to know how to replace "headin" with "headdown".
How can this be done?
(the reason I don't want to replace the whole src, as that would be very simple, is that the path of the image will change depending on the directory the page is in)
