Dropdown Menu Automatically Moves For Window Size?
Oct 23, 2009
I currently have a javascript drop down menu. and when the browser window is too small the menu moves for it to be visible. For example, if I hover over a link on the bottom of my site the menu will drop up instead of down.
Well I noticed because of the size of one of my monitors, the menu drops left instead of right and I want to know how to stop it from going left.
My JavaScript Code is:
Code JavaScript:
//** AnyLink JS Drop Down Menu v2.0- (c) Dynamic Drive DHTML code library: [url]http://www.dynamicdrive.com[/url]
//** Script Download/ instructions page: [url]http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/dropmenuindex.htm[/url]
I'm using the apycom jquery menu style 1 (dim grey)URL..It's a great looking menu but does anyone know how to 'delay' the dropdown menu closure when your mouse moves off of it?I can change the speed of the menu opening and closing, but not can't find a way to delay. It's too easy for visitors to 'slip' off the menu and if you have two child menu's, it get frustraing if you drill down to the secon child menu and slip off. You have to go back to the top menu and start again.
I used the copy/paste dropdown panel from this site, and I'm having trouble with it. Whenever I click the very top panel it drops down, but it moves behind all my other content. Heres my page currently [URL].
I am trying to find if a script exists to have an image slide-show which moves to the right when the cursor moves to the right and so on for the left. We have managed to find someone else who has done exactly what she wants but it's in flash and I have no experience at all in flash. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a script which does the exact same thing? Below is the link to the site where they have managed to do what we are looking for in Flash: [URL]
Second Question: For some reason, the menu is appearing behind a table row when it expands, thus hiding a good portion of the menu. Here it is: [URL]
Try clicking on 'Products & Services', and then clicking on "Centerfire Rifle Suppressors" from the dropdown menu. When it takes you to that category page, click the menu again and you will see that the menu hides behind the <h1> table row.
where da boss wants our a large piece of our site to be fully dynamic and integrated on any screen size. This means changing font on size. Well I cam up with a solution, figured if no one has one better, then i'll share
and I'm trying to get the images on the left to fit the size of the browser screen on the right when you click on them. The images themselves are huge, so I'd like some kind of code that resizes the images to fit the size of the visitor's screen, which will vary from user to user.
I have build a tree view forum, I have used the iframe tag to import it to my wordpress blog .
I have a script that determine the size of the iframe on load:
The problem with the script is that the forum(tree view forum) only shows topics. I have another script that displays the contents of any issue only while clicking (Void). In actual the contents of each issue is charging ahead - but the resize function of the Iframe script not see it.
How do I fix it, that the size of the Iframe will change automatically?
I am new to Jquery mobile framework.I have an asp.net web application and I want to convert it into Jquery mobile framework.I have a datalist on an aspx page. The size of the datalist decreases according to the window size to certain extent after which the size of the datalist becomes constant and doesn't decrease with the window size.
I have a project where I need a selection of one dropdown menu may affect the select of multiple other dropdown menus on the same page.First, a table is generated, and within each row, it contains a dropdown menu. Assume: Rows A, B, C, etc..., and Dropdown selection: 1, 2, & 3If dropdown in Row A selects 2, then I want the selection of dropdowns in rows B & C to dynamically change to 2.And if in Row C user selects 3, then the selection in dropdowns in rows A & B should dynamically change to 3.
I have seen this script a few places, not sure it was jquery but I figured it was.
I am looking for a script that opens a lightbox when someone moves the mouse over to close the browser window or change the url or type in the search bar, a lightbox pops up.
I spend a bit of time searching and can't find the script.
I have built myself an invoicing system and I am in the midst of upgrading it. Currently I have a dropdown box with all the items we sell in it and next to that a unit price text field. Currently you select the item and them manually type in the price. The issue is you have to know the price. What I want to do is once you choose an item it automatically adds the unit price. I am sure this is easy and have a funny feeling I have done this years ago. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great. An example or download code would be even better.
Open SELECT dropdown list automatically. I want to simulate a user click or ctrl + up/down on a select drop down list. I tried various ways using create event object and click on the list but list does not drop down.
I'd have thought this would be easy but I've been looking for hours and all I can find is info on getting the viewport size, which is normally useful but not in my situation.
In this case I need the actual browser size, including the scrollbars, toolbars, status bars etc. to get an idea of browsers which aren't maximised/full screen and how big they are, and to calculate the amount of the screen taken up by toolbars etc too.
I wonder if it's possible to implement a menu like the one ofcbs.com?Basically, when mouse over some of the menu items, a menu panel shows up with a few columns of links. The many panel disappears when the mouse moves out. I think it's quite neat and I'm hoping to be able to do something like that with jQuery.
I actually want to make a horizontal drop down menu with a sub menu.As far as I have researched, I think that it can be done by JavaScript. I have searched for some java scripts but they are very long and complex.
That made me wonder that for a funcitonality like a Drop down is so complex?
So here is my question : Is there any JavaScript that can be applied for drop down menu exclusively? Which just presents logic of drop down solely?
I need a script that will open a new window (popup / new link) in a specific size, but will also close the old window (where the popup came from). I know the popup window is easy but finding a work-able close window script as the new window is opened is impossible!!
I've got this row of images (in the end there will be more rows of pics as well). When a user clicks on the image, I want a new window to open with a larger version of the image. I want that new window to be customized to the size of the new larger image. Also, when users go back to see other images in their larger size, I want the new window (assuming they never closed the first one) to come back to the front.
I've only gotten as far as getting the larger images to open in a new window at a set size in the function. I thought I could just make specific scripts for each image, but that would be cumbersome to say the least....
I would like to automatically populate a drop down menu when the page loads based on the selection of an item in a different drop down menu. I made a test page that when drop down #1 changes, drop down #2 populates. Does anyone know how to get drop down #2 to populate based on what is selected in drop down #1 when the page loads? Code:
I have a 3-level menu using JQuery-Superfish. I would like to hover over the top-level menu item and have BOTH the 2nd and 3rd-level menus open automatically.
I am making a web page and i have one js menu in it. But when I resize page in the enternet explorer, menu stays at the same size and that is bad. Anyone knows how to deal with it or anyone has some manu in which I can define size in percents, not in pixels.
