Does Any One Know How To Set Up A 'save Listing Feature'
Oct 2, 2006
I have a property site and would like users to be able to click a button or tick a box to enable them to save a listing & then when they have finished searching they can then click on a 'view saved properties' button and each listing, or a link to each listing will be displayed on a seperate page so they can then go back to all their saved listings.

I've made a code that finds the factors of an inputted number. Here's the script code...
However, when I factor it, It will go to a blank unformatted page to list the factors. How can I list the factors on the webpage itself like a div? I tried using a <div> and innerHTML but it only lists one factor.

Is it possible to use javascript to get a list of files from the current
directory where the html page that contains the javascript is being called?
The reason is that I want to find all ".jpg" files in the current dir and
randomly display one. Right now I am manually putting each file name in an
array element, very hard to maintain.

I have a script I am trying to manipulate. I can do some basics with it but really need to work something out.
It is basically a calender script where I can select multiple days. I really need to be able to reference the id's of each day(div) selected and basically list how many have been selected.
I'm guessing this might not be enough to go on so I may need to post all of the code but this is the part that makes me able to select the days (divs):
Code:
initBackendEvents:function(){// Init Events for the days of the Calendar.
$('.DOP_BackendBookingCalendar_Day', Container).click(function(){
var day = $(this);
if (!day.hasClass('past_day')){

I would just like list the 'Illustration', 'Apparel', 'Lifestlye', menus to appear when you hover over the parent 'Shop' menu but then reveal each second sub menu in turn when you hover over their respective sub menus. Can anyone help? Hope that makes sense

I am working on a form with a huge selection of checkboxes (certifications), arranged in a table (#certs). To make it easier for the user to check what certifications they have selected, I would like to add a list immediately following the #certs table that updates dynamically based on their selections.
I put a paragraph under the table with a span - ID certs_list. I was able to add to this with the following code, but if the checkbox is clicked multiple times, it keeps adding the same value over and over again. How can I simply add to the list (item 1, item 2, item 3) when a checkbox is checked and remove it if it is unchecked?

I'm making a webpage and the user can choose multiple checkboxes. After they do it, I want to list them, but I want to be able to separate them with commas and know when to put the "and" between the last and second to last item. I'm not trying to get free code, but I can't come up with any ideas of how to do this without doing an incredibly cumbersome if statement.

I'm working on a site which lists a group of products and when you click on an "expand" button it loads the rest of the product details and displays the rest of the product information directly below the div that was expanded.Each product summary has a div with the id of "#moreinfo" that expands to show the product details. The link that causes the expansion is this one: ".product5 .moreinfo a".However, only the first div expands when I click any of the products. It does display the correct product info, but always after the first product.My jquery is below. How can I make it expand the correct '#moreinfo div'
$(document).ready(function() {
var hash = window.location.hash.substr(1);

I was playing around with the compose feature of gmail today and I noticed that it seemed to have an extremely intelligent auto-save feature. What intrigued me about it was that it only seemed to auto-save the document when you were not working on it and when there was actually something that needed to be done.
However the most interesting (i.e., bit that stumped me) was how while in the middle of auto-uploading a large attached file I am able to edit the e-mail and yet when it has finished uploading the attachment (and the page seemingly refreshes) the changes I made to the e-mail are still there.
Could anyone be so kind as to enlighten me as to just how exactly the auto-save feature works (as I am interested implementing something similar for my own site), especially in the region of attachment handling.
I know that they must have some kind of JavaScript on-key-press callback that detects when you are working on a document but that is about all I can extrapolate.

We all know that feature detection technique works from very beggining
of user-agents supporting JavaScript. We can alway check if eg.
document has a write property or smth else:
if(document.write) {
}
We could do that for all of objects, so i have been surprised when i
found 'in' operator, which for above example would be used like this:
if("write" in document) {
}
So i have questioned myself what for ? I can always do:
if(document["write"]) {
}
or even
var prop = [...];
if(document[prop]) {
}
which is supported better then 'in' operator ('in' is supported since
W. IE 5.5 and NN 6 - around 2000 year). I can only guess that 'in' was
provided in W. IE 5.5 only for convenience... but that is my guess and
someone more knowlegable could write here some more opinions on this
operator...
