What I'm trying to do is display whatever is typed within an input field simultaneously inside of a <p> tag.
For Example:
If the name Mark is typed into the input field, i would want "Mark" displayed somewhere else on the page inside of a <p> tag and the letters are typed in the input field it displays each etter as its being typed.. is this possible?
1. I have this list of 3 products/items that is created and displayed automatically through a for-loop. By changing the number in this loop, I can either add or subtract items of this list. More and more items are supposed to be added to list on a regular basis.
2. For each item, a number of customer-comments should be displayed and looped. I accomplish this using Arrays, where I can easily add new comments for each individual item to the loop.
3. Each item may have a different number of comments.
My goal is to have a system that effeciently allows me to add new comments at a minimum effort from my part.The comments loops fine, as long as I only choose to loop them for one item at the time. As soon as I try loop comments for two or more items at once, trouble ensue.

I'm now working on kind of invoice form which in it the user can add as much input field as he wants.
The problem is that after adding a new input field - the content in the other fields is deleted.

I am having a form with two input fields. I want to enter some text in the first input field and then the second field should get the same text. Is there a simple way (maybe a plugin) to do this with jQuery? It would be perfect if I even could output all these input fields values as normal text in <p> or <li> tags.

What I need to do is have a webpage on a touchscreen kiosk that allows a visitor to the client enter their name/company/email address, plus select how they travelled to the premises and their departing post code.
When they submit the form, I need it to email the details to the client so they can produce a nice little certificate saying how many trees have been planted to offset the visitors journey - but I also need it to display the details on screen before resetting itself for the next Prius driving visitor to use.
I've got to the stage where I can EITHER capture all the details needed and email them OR capture all the details needed and calculate the distance travelled, KGs of CO2 expended and how many trees are needed and display them. I'm having difficulty getting it to do both!

I have this code but it only works for the first question and it doesnt work on click (it works when you select the arial button). I want my users to be able to select a button from every question and then press submit and the infomation will display what they have selected if that makes sense?

I have set up a page which when I click the button BlockUI does what is supposed to do as well as jquery Form plugin; however, the success and failure messages are displaying in the blockUI. What I would like is for the success and error messages to replace the form. The code I am using:

Right I have google maps connected to a database which holds stockists and their information. The user enters their postcode and radius and markers are put on the map of stockists in the radius of their postcode. I have this all working fine and the database chucks the information into an xml file fine. The problem im having is displaying the information in the pop up window of the marker.
Example Xml:
The only information displayed in the sidebar entry is the name and distance and on the marker just the name.
I have a long list consisting of a name and associated number, like this:
SITE01 2111
SITE02 4567
SITE03 5555
and so on.
I would like to put two dropdown boxes where the user can select either the name or the number. Then based upon the users selection have both the name and number appear. I'm thinking of putting all the data in an array and using the dropdowns to query the array.
I'm trying to copy something from one input field to another input field. I don't want to wait until the user clicks the button, should be instant.
This script works but it's always one letter behind.

The area that is dynamically created is wrapped by a <div id>, within which is, and this might be bad practice so please feel free to mock me , another few nested div id's. It looks something like this:

Each time you hit the +, it creates a new div id beneath the "Adds" id.
What I'd like to do is see the values of the id's "row_fqdn" and "row_ip". Is there a quick way to access the values of nested id's?

When a user enters information in those two textboxes and click on submit, the information is sent to a function in Javascript. In the javascript, the information from those textboxes is stored in a javascript variable. The problem is as follows:When I am inputting string text in the html text boxes and in the javascript when I am trying to print those values, it is giving me out an error saying NaN. In a bespoke CMS (not a publicly accessible application), I need to let my user upload files that are beyond the server's file upload size for http. I can use PHP to do this via ftp, but to do so I need the full path to the source file, which I could then pass in a hidden field. However, the value of the file input field only returns the filename, not the full path. I understand that this is for security reasons, but is there any way round it?
I've tried jumping through all manner of hoops to try and select the text in the field - which does show the full path of the browsed file - in order to put it in the hidden field, but so far I've failed. And I must do this in FF3 for various reasons.
I'm trying to get multiple scripts to run simultaneously. As of now, my hover drop-down menu is not working on the "Teams" page, but all other scripts work. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to replicate a feature found in hotmail, facebook, etc. When you type or select a recipient from an auto-suggest box for your message/email that recipient's name is put into the "To" field box and is encased (usually a blue rounded corner box) with a X to the far right. If the "X" is clicked the recipient is removed.
How can do you put the selected recipient into the encasing and insert it in the "To" field box? If there are multiple recipients how are they differentiated? For example, if there were a ";" between the recipients the semi-colon would separate the values.

If I don't use style="display:none" inside the divs, I see them both initially and I can hide/show each one depending on which link I press. But the thing is that I need both divs to be hidden in the first place, and when I click on ONE, to show TWO, when I click on TWO to hide ONE and show TWO etc. Each time 1 div should be visible, depending on which link we press. The other must disappear.

So at the moment I'm working on an Ajax powered navigation that's animated with a horizontal slide and fade. So far I've imported the Effects Core and Effect "Slide" from the jQuery UI to get the horizontal slide effect in. Here's the documentation on the specific slide technique I'm using from the jQuery UI:[URL].. You can see the work I've done so far:[URL]... As you can see, the Ajax and horizontal slide features are working properly. However, one thing I can't get to work is the horizontal and fade effect to occur at the same time. I mistakenly tried to chain the show/hide functions with the fade function, but of course it happened sequentially instead of simultaneously.
I looked up for solutions online and most point to the animation function as the solution. In this case, I can't figure out a way to work with it because the animation function seems to manipulate the CSS to get the desired effects. While I could have animate change the width of the content area along with its opacity, the width resize would squeeze the text as the content area shrinks which is undesirable for my case. This is why I'm using the Effect "Slide" in the first place, to prevent the text getting squeezed as the content area slides.
So is there anyway I can get a simultaneous fade working at the same time with the Effect "Slide", or do I have to look for other methods of horizontal sliding to get it to work with fades?
