I have an online application used for grading students. On one of the
pages, I have a table with two rows and each row has 16 cells. The
upper row contains the letter grade (A, A-, B+, B, etc) and the lower
row has a 16 radio buttons for selecting the appropriate grade. This
all writes to a SQL server back-end and has been working fine for
several semesters. Some faculty members have complained that it is
hard to read and see which have been graded so far and which still
need to be graded. It has been suggested that we change the
background color of the selected letter grade to a different color. I
have had some sucess with this, but haven't figured out how to
"toggle" the color on and off based on the state of the radio button.
I can get it to change color when selected, but the color persists if
another radio button is selected. Does anyone have some sample code
for this?
I am a PHP programmer and new to Javascript and jQuery and I have tried about 20 examples/tutorials and cannot seem to get even close to what I want.I have a form (PHP/MySQL) with a list of subjects I got from my database, and then create a set of radio buttons from that list. And based on what radio button they select, I need to pass that variable to a div (at least that's what I want to use) and then show a list of videos that match the radio buttons value. I don't care if its a get or post or other.I tried to use GET or POST so I can use that value for my PHP/MySQL lists.I am open to any suggestions/tutorials, etc.

Is there any way to prevent the onclick event from triggering if the radio button is already checked?

I don't know if it's appropriate to discuss a JS library here, but I'm wanting to use jQuery to toggle the display of content based on a selected radio button. Here's an example HTML
Code:
<label><input type="radio" name="toggler" value="block01" />Show block 1</label>
<label><input type="radio" name="toggler" value="block02" />Show block 2</label>
<label><input type="radio" name="toggler" value="block03" />Show block 3</label>
<div id="block01>This is block 1</div>
<div id="block02>This is block 2</div>
<div id="block03>This is block 3</div>
Obviously the idea is that only one block is displayed at a time. I'm happy to get the effect anyway possible, but I do want to use jQuery because I believe it will be easier in the long run.
What I don't know how to do is to use the value of a selected radio option to show a block with the same ID as the value. I'm also not sure if I'm correctly select a name when I use $("[name='toggler']").
EDIT: Actually, I don't seem to be able to select the radio buttons using any other method than $("input"). Even if I give each input the same class I can't select it using $(".toggler").
I am attempting to pass a value from child to parent window. My issue is that I can't get the value of my radio button to the parent when there is more than one radio button. I get a result of "undefined".

I am trying to produce a web form to allow wedding guests to RSVP. The form allows them to enter a name and select from a radio button whether they will be attending or not. If they select the "yes" radio button then a further pair of radio buttons are displayed for their meal preference.
They can then click a submit button or they can click another button to add another line for another guest which operates in exactly the same way. I've almost got this working, but it seems that the checkbox change handler is lost for the current guest when a new guest is added and the checkbox value is reset. I've got a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't for the life of me figure out what.
Code (source file (renamed to .txt) also attached as I'm not sure the pasted code is too clear):
I have it set up so that there are three frames (frames and the use of javascript are encourage for practice) "bar" on the left with navigational options, "main" in the center where the body of the drill is presented, and "feedback" along the bottom where the feedback will appear.
My issue is that I have everything working except the form! I'm not sure how to make it so that upon clicking the submit button the feedback is presented in the "feedback" frame. This was suggested to me but isn't working, maybe I have a mistake somewhere? Or is there another way I can do this?

I cant seem to get this to work. I have 2 rows in a table, the first containing a paragraph of content and the second containing a button. I want it so when the page loads the first row (paragraph)is hidden until the user clicks on the button, which will then display the paragraph (toggle on and off).
If the rows are swapped round so paragraph below and button on top this piece of code works fine but for the way I need it, it doesnt.

I have searched high and low for this topic and can't find it anywhere. I have an administration form that lists tasks for an admin. For each item on the task list I want to offer the admins a button that will dynamically show a form within the page and just under the task item (without sending the page back to the server at this point). When the button is clicked I want the text on the button to change from "Click here to add comments" to "Close this form". I also want any open form to close if another 'open form button' is pressed.
I am still not that strong in JavaScript and DOM. I am not necessarily looking for some to do this for me, but I would like at least a starting point. I have found a small snippet that uses an image as the trigger for the event, but I would like to use a button to stay consistent with the look and feel of the page.
I'm trying to make a page where you can change a page's layout through 2 separate CSS's via a button. i want to button to change text when it toggles the layouts as well. i have no clue how to do this with an entire CSS file, but here is something i made to change the background. could i use this logic to change the CSS of a page?

Is it possible to disable a $.toggle() controlled button (image) during an animation? (I animate up and down a DIV playing with z-index, and when I click on the button when it's animating, the DIV slides down incorrectly...) Or may I use click events and bind / unbind button when it's needed?
