I cant seem to get this to work. I have 2 rows in a table, the first containing a paragraph of content and the second containing a button. I want it so when the page loads the first row (paragraph)is hidden until the user clicks on the button, which will then display the paragraph (toggle on and off).
If the rows are swapped round so paragraph below and button on top this piece of code works fine but for the way I need it, it doesnt.

I have 2 divs: <div id="box1></div> and <div id="box2></div> I also have one link to contoll them both. The effect I want to get is: when I click first time on my link box2 hides, when i click second time also box1 hides, when I click third time both divs should show. For each item on the task list I want to offer the admins a button that will dynamically show a form within the page and just under the task item (without sending the page back to the server at this point). When the button is clicked I want the text on the button to change from "Click here to add comments" to "Close this form". I also want any open form to close if another 'open form button' is pressed.

I cant see any syntax errors - i pulled the example from the 1.4 site. There is no trailing commas in the object notation and i really cant see any reason it would work in firefox and not IEx and more to the point not only not work in IEx but break any other jquery in the entire page....

That's the code I'm basically looking for, I would show you the page - however I'm working through localhost and right now it's impractical to upload. The code I've given you gives you the required part anyway. What I want to do is where the buttons OnClick attribute refers to '((COLOR))' I want it to be whatever the select option is the the select field (red, blue or green).
For simplicity reasons as far as the coding is concerned, it'd be easier to avoid any functions.. (There's a lot of PHP, including files, etc - it'd be a hassel to get back to the head of the page :P). Also for practical reasons I'd prefer to avoid using a form with with the GET method to pass on the information.
