I am wondering why my DOJO Dialog box cannot appear in Firefox but can appear in IE and Google Chrome.
With Code JavaScript:
dialog5.show();
I thought my dialog box will automatically show in browser ? It is the case for IE and Google Chrome but not for firefox.
I have created a button with a window.confirm() method but when I click on it in firefox the dialog box does not appear. It does however appear in all the other browsers
I have a javascript prompt box (as you can see in the code below) it works perfectly fine with internet explorer however it's NOT working in firefox. I tried everything I can think of, but still its not working!
<%@LANGUAGE="VBSCRIPT" CODEPAGE="28592"%> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]"> <html xmlns="[URL]"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-2" /> <title>Choose Your Language</title> <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> function checklang(){ var lang = prompt('Choose A Language:'+' ' + "(Ex: Armenian, Arabic, English, French, Greek, Russian)",'English'); if (lang==null || lang=="") {lang=""; return;} if (lang=="Armenian" || lang=="Arabic" || lang=="English" || lang=="French" || lang=="Greek" || lang=="Russian") {location.href = "sermon-section.asp?lang="+lang}; else location.reload(); } </script></head><body> <a href="#" onclick="checklang()">Choose Your Language</a> </body></html>
Maybe it isn't really best practice (as it turns out) to use both jQuery and Dojo in the same application, but there are things I like about both libraries (for example jQuery is faster with animations, while Dojo has interface objects I like better). Nonetheless, best practice or not, I use both and that seem to create some complications.
The first time I load content via AJAX with jQuery DOJO seems to properly parse the checkboxes, datetime pickers, etc. which are sent with the new HTML. However, it seems the second time the parser won't react. I'm calling dojo.parser.parse() every time I load content with jQuery's $.ajax call. So basically my code looks like this:
I am using dojo to validate my signup form. If I putting execute="checkPw(arguments[0]); before "submitI fValid(this.isValid());"> , the check password is working but i cant submit the form or vice versa.
I have been trying to get my way round the DOJO charting using the declarative (html) method.
1. I have a ItemFileReadStore for the data source 2. I know the data store has data as I am outputting it to a grid as well.
The only thing that appears is the axes and the numbering for the x axis, there is no line and the numbering for the y - axis, tried googling, but to no avail.
After Fetching the data from the grid1 of store1. Now, I need to Remove the Selected items in the grid2 to the grid1. After Removing the Selected items to the grid2 that items should be Added from the grid1.
We are using jquery plugin in websphere portal which uses dojo, one objservation is both use $ sign to start the function.
We have tried following.
1) We have put statement for jquery conflick $j = $.noconflict();
2) Still error persist while the page is loaded.
3) After this we have find Replaced $ with $j in all plugin files still it says $j is undefined. Do we need to replace it at all places or on specific places? Please see below code how it looks like after replacing $ with $j and let us know if this is correct.
i have been working with jquery dialog for a while and am stuck on a new problem today.when i load a dialog, it is running the button functions when the dialog is opened.
I used the jquery modal dialog from the[url].... that is currently draggable from the title only. is there any way i can make that draggable by inserting a div at the footer of the dialog or make it draggable from everywhere in the dialog.
I am trying to get a dialog box to open another dialog box. Clicking on "more search options" the first time results in opening a dialog box. Clicking "search" within the dialog box results in opening up a second dialog box. But this only works the first time I click on "more search options". In other words, the second dialog box only opens up only once. To get the second dialog to open again, I have to reload the page in the browser.

When I use mouse wheel in Firefox to scroll contents of the DIV, memory usage in Firefox goes through the roof. Code above is a fully working page, if anyone would like to see what's up, just load it up, and start moving your mouse wheel in the area with text. You don't actually have to scroll the text, just moving the wheel back and forth in that DIV will do. Memory usage will start going up quite fast, and after you stop moving the wheel, it will finally come down a bit after a short while. I've highlighted in red the line where mousewheel event is registered for Firefox. I'm not sure if it's really a problem, but since Opera and IE don't have any strange memory usage, and Firefox does, maybe I did something wrong. In everyday use it shouldn't matter [don't expect to have kilometers of content to scroll], but anyway, it is a bit unsettling.
if ((window)&&(window.netscape)&&(window.netscape.security)) { // OK, this is Gecko/Firefox or someone mimicing it so well // that there is no way to catch it on the act. }
But I need Firefox *1.5 or higher* or another (but sure) way to know that this browser has native SVG support. Here I'm stock.
It seems there is window.navigator.productSub and on my Firefox 1.5 it's 20051111
But I'm not sure: this "build version" is going up guaranteed or it's random like CLASSID? Also is the same Firefox release has the same build for all platforms or not? mozilla.org seems silent.
Does anybody have a Download Dialog written in JavaScripts? This is for a website. I've seen it done before.... where you click on what you want and the dialog comes up asking you if you want to save it. From what I can tell, the name of the file is passed as a parameter of the JavaScript.
I'm attempting to open a modal dialog box from a parent window. The dialog box opens fine with the code below associated with the parent. In the child window, I have a button with the simple self.close() code associated with it. Obviously, I want to use the button to close the child window (I've also tried window.close()). When the button is clicked, the dialog box closes, but the info.aspx page is then re-displayed in another regular window that opens. I found some reference to the problem on the web with an explanation that it only occurs in IE after version 5, but I've found no solution. ...and it still occurs in both IE6 and IE7. Code:
I'm looking for a while for doc's to understand how to delelop my own https client to automate some tasks.
The website, I try to use for example, contains a javasript to provide for login (URL: https://www.cortalconsors.de/euroWebDe/-). I've attached the part of the code which is supplies the login fields (probably easier to read when browsing the source code of the page). I've no idea, how the POST should look like to do the login.....
