I did however find that this little blip of code is what's used to position where the cart is placed on the HTML page that contains the script. Here's my problem - I want to be able to create this element inside a div that already exists on the HTML page. Is this possible?

In the above code, i am able to create dynamic row only after the last row of the existing table. i.e( I am able to add rows after row2_column1 ,row2_column2).Hence on click of the "create new UPI" button only one row will be created.
Is it possible to create a new row after each existing row? (i.e. a new row after row1_column1,row1_column1 and a new row after row2_column1 ,row2_column2). What i exactly i need is to find the total number of the existing rows and on click of the button a new row should be created after each existing row.
Populate Select Boxes - Create Events, With A Start Time And An End Time?
Jun 3, 2009I'd like some direction on creating a small piece of Javascript that will populate my <select> boxes.Basically, I have a form for users to create events, with a start time and an end time. (These are the two select boxes).For example:

What I am trying to do is:
1) Have times populated in 15 minute incrementals from 12:00AM to 11:45PM
2) Have some type of "error checking" available to where the End Time must be after the start time. It would be nice for the script to automatically change the end time field to a time that is after the start time.
Checking For An Existing Instance Of A Js File?
Nov 2, 2010I was looking in the firebug debugger and noticed that my main .js file was somehow being called twice, but I don't see where. There are dozens of files involved in this particular problem, so I think the best way to go about solving it is to test - in run time - if my js file is already in place on the page, do nothing - otherwise call it. This is pseudo that I have monkeying around with but it's not working.

Adding Scrolling Text To An Existing Jscript File?

Most all of the content that is displayed when links or topics are selected is placed in the center of the page. I need to put some scrolling text in one of the top frame blocks, (the section that is java script file).

Time An Active Text File?
Dec 5, 2010I'm working on a project where a user is going to click on a name in a list, some code will happen, and then some JavaScript will get a corresponding blob from a server and display it in a new text file.however, the time that the text file is both open and active also needs to be saved. I'm planning on using an ActiveXObject to display the data, but I haven't been able to find anything using either JavaScript or any other language that will be able to see when the user closes the text file or when the text file is active.For this part of the project, the text file is NOT supposed to be open in another web page. Does anyone know how this could be done?

So I want to have a text box where you insert your source code, and I want the preview box to update automatically. For example, say I want the preview box to refresh every time the user enters a space character. Is there a way to get only the new source code entered to render in the preview box without having to re-render the entire preview every time? For example, if a user types 2x^3, I want the math equivalent to show up in the preview window. If a user then types in " + 2x" I want just the " + 2x" part to be drawn right next to the already-drawn "2x^3".
Is this possible? Or is the only way to re-render the entire preview every time the user types in a new term? I would like to only change what the user has edited. If a user edits the middle of the math, then I have no choice and have to re-render everything after what the user has just edited, but when the user is editing the math at the very end, can I not just tag it on to the end and render just that little piece?

Apr 24, 2010I have a very large tree data structure and I want to display some of its sections on a HTML page. I wrote the following JavaScript that loads parts of the tree dynamically injecting the desired HTML code.

Each show_xxxxxxxx() function displays desired part of the tree on HTML.The problem is each time I load the HTML file it takes a lot of time to read the JavaScript (there are many show_xxxxxxxx() functions with a lot of HTML to insert).Is it possible to cache the loaded JavaScript into browser memory so it won't read the entire script when I reload the page with different content?
