Calculator With User Level And Member Type - OnChange Function?
Apr 8, 2011
This is a calculator that calculates how much a user can earn from their referrals depending on the user's Level & Member type. It's supposed to be updating live (onChange) when the user types in new values in the fields, but nothing is happening. [URL].
Code:
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
function calculate(){
// eval makes the script know the value is a number, and not text
var myLevel = eval(document.earningsform.level.value);
var memberType = eval(document.earningsform.type.value);
var viewed = eval(document.earningsform.viewed.value); .....
I am trying to get the price updated based on users dropdown selection for Member and Non-Member and also multiply it by how many they want.Should I use javascript on the page or split the page into two where 1st one would collect basic info and if they are member or non members and second would collect quantity?
I have a text field with a numberpad below it, I got the numbers to show up in the text field, but am unsure as to how when I hit the enter button - it would store them in a variable?...I am also wondering as to how it would store current value and then allow me to input another value(maybe on the next page) and either subtract or add to it(the first value that is stored).I need the calculator to be like a numberpad/money calculator, so when the user will enter a specific amount(stored in variable), (there will be two decimal places for currency(not sure how to get this working)i want the "point" to be there when they enter in numbers).then they add in another amount, how would i subtract/add this to the first stored value?
Is there something that will update as soon as the user changes information in a textbox as appose to what onChange does, which is update once the focus has been taken off of the textbox? I am writing a custom cart and I am using AJAX to update the price according to how many they are ordering, I was hoping to have it update the price as soon as the user put in the volume, but it doesnt update until the user clicks somewhere else on the page.
<script type="text/javascript"> var num1=prompt('Enter your first number',""); var num2=prompt('Enter your second number',""); var problem=prompt('Enter the operator you wish to use..x,X,+,-,/ are valid..',""); if (problem=="+") { [Code]...
It will open when the page comes up, but how do I put it so that it opens when the user clicks a button?
I have to change text input type to password input type and i am using jquery script. This script work for FF, Chrome and Safari browser but not worked on ie7, ie8.
Script is as:-
How can i update my script, so that it works cross the browser.
I am trying to allow the user to type in two numbers and then a multiplication table pops up below it. how to make the first row be 0,1,2,3,4,5..ect and same for the first column in each row going down the table. Here is my code..
So I create a class: function cMap(mapID){//vars and stuff}
I go and prototype a function: cMap.prototype.loadMap = function(){ //jquery AJAX call }
Now in the jquery $.ajax({...}); call, I use an anonymous function on the "success:" call: success: function(data){ this.member = data; }
My problem is that inside this anonymous function call I'm trying to call a class member of my cMap class to store the data in from the AJAX call, but it's out of scope. So the JS console in FF/Chrome throws errors about bad value/doesn't exist.
How can I access this class member from inside an anonymous function? Or at least what's a good way to go about doing all this?
That code shows an alert box with 'mb_c is 1' and next alert box as 'other mb_c is undefined'. How do i access the mb_c which is member of Order class within the setup function which has an argument mb_c ?
I want to add a global event handler for mousedown that will register whenever the user clicks anywhere on the page but I'm having trouble.This is what I'm trying to do:
var body = document.getElementsByTagName("body"); alert(body); body.addEventListener(mouseDown, myHandler);[code]....
But the event handler is never called. I can't even seem to get access to the body. Is the body tag the wrong place to be assigning the mousedown handler? I'm trying to make this code work correctly in both IE and firefox.
I need a messagebox to let user type in some text and then submit. Do I need a plugin? I searched on Jquery site, seems the search plugins doesn't work as it doesn;t return anything with "messagebox". I found a plugin on other site, but need license. What I need is just a simple messagebox
I need to find a way to open a new _blank type window when a user submits. I have found a few answers but none that fit what i need. alot tell you to use target blank on submit, but i have two buttons that do 2 completely different things. Is there a way to achieve that? here is the code i use!
please i want to know if there is a possibility to force the user to type English characters coz i made all my web site in arabic and germany languages i want to force user to type the username and password in English characters
I have a registration page with a username field and every time a character is type I would like to call a javascript function to test for a unique username. My function is working fine but I'm currently using onChange to call it and I noticed that onChange is less of an actual onChange and more of a onChange if onBlur. Is it possible to run the script every time a character changes even if the user is still typing? Note, I'm using ASP.NET in VB to write this page but I'd like to do this with javascript and not post back if at all possible.
I need to create a simple calculator in Java. Below is what I have so far; it is not working currently and I'm not sure why. I also needed to add the parseInt function somewhere in the code but I'm not sure where.
import java.util.Scanner; public class CalcDemo { public static void main(String[] args){ } private int valueA; private int valueB; private String operator; private char operatorA; public int getvalueA() { return valueA; } .....
I have an AJAX script which is used for a "live search" type function.When a user begins to type their search, after 3 characters, my AJAX script jumps into action and shows them a list of possible results.I has worked fine for months, and now suddenly I have found that it is causing a javascript error.I have traced the error down to the "open" call... ie: this.xmlHttp.open("GET", url, true);Like I said, this has worked for ages and I haven't changed these files since I got them working.
I was working on a site that uses Google Checkout buy now buttons, and I wanted the product picture to change based on what was picked. I was able to have it change the picture, but if you pick a new item after that, it keeps the same picture. Here;s the code: The box (only the first part):
I have a dropdown that when the user selects an item, a function is called. Right it is giving me an error of 'object expected'. Can someone please take a look at my code below and let me know where I am going wrong? When I change the filldesc to an alert, it works fine and returns the correct values.
function filldesc(inputlevel1) { alert(inputlevel1); } <!-- Level one Headings --> <select name='level1' ...
I'm trying to write a form and I need to allow the user to select more than one option from a list of options, if the last option is selected I have a hidden DIV that displays.This all works fine unless the user selects more than one option AND the final option "other" (ie using the control key to make the selection)... the code is below:
HTML Code:
<table> <tr> <td width="160">Select your color:</td>
I'm having some difficulty in accessing an 'external' function from my onchange event. It will work when the function is included 'inline,' but it's not working when the function is 'stand alone.'Additionally, when it works, the variable isn't being passed - the alert I use says "[object Event]"
For example, set onmouseclick event function of all images on a page to do the same thing. I want it to be the "default" function, that it applies to all images I create later on with JS. Look at this code, it's just the concept:
Code: images.onmouseclick=function(){alert("an image was clicked")} //I know the "images" object doesn't exist a=document.createElement("img"); document.appendChild(a); // an alert box should open when this new image is clicked. // an alert box should open when any other image is clicked.
