I have a script that enables a certain button when some conditions are met. I'm having an issue with it, so I made a simple script to get to the core of what I'm trying to do. This is the script that I'm using:

I'm trying a simple JQuery enable a disabled button once the fields have all been entered for the Horzontal section.
At the moment as long as one input val has been entered it enables the button?
Could someone advise how to make it so it only enables if all vals are entered?[code]...
The Combo box which contains 10 elements with an attribute of 'multiple' and the size is 4 and in disabled mode. I need to display the 8th element in the viewing position or enable the scroll bar which is to view the 8th element ie combo box should be in disabled mode.

(I need to keep the brackets so php will reconize it as an array.) In javascript, I was trying to use to use: document.form.duo[x].disabled = false; (but that didn't work).

I have a form with 3 fields that will allow a user to search a database of clients by either name, email, or client id number. However, I would like the user to only be able to put information in one field. It can be done be either deleting the other two fields when the user inputs information into a different field, or by disabling the other two fields when the user enters information in one (and also frees up all fields if the user ends up deleting what they entered).
Below is a start of what I had. Basically, it will disable the fields when I mouse out of them but won't re-enable them when I mouse back in. As you can see, I tried various combinations of events. (My code below also doesnt null out the other fields when the user opts to use a different field than the one they first began to enter info in).

Unfortunately it no longer works :-( Ive checked the file paths and cant see the problem. I'm totally foxed. The CSS and java script files look the same so I just cannot fathom why when you point over an image on this page

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to recreate a behaviour which enables a disabled checkbox after the user has completely scrolled down to the bottom of a textarea ("agree to license terms"). My current state can be found at http:[url]....The checkbox is not being enabled with my approach. I can enable the checkbox if I explicitly set scrollTop to a value, but then I'm not able to scroll anymore at all. So I am guessing it probably has to do with the scroll check not working properly.

Every time you press the button, the value $i should increase by +1. So if I press the button 5 times that should give the value 6.
I think I have to use a loop or something but I don't know how.
I'm really new to Javascript, and really know basically nothing about it. What I want to do is press a skip button on a page, then wait for the next page to load completely before pressing the skip button. I want the script to stop after the first five skips, though. I plan on making this into a GreaseMonkey script for my own personal use, if that info is needed, too.

Currently on the forum end of one of my sites, users like to create huge signatures. I would like them to have this option so I have used overflow to hide everything 150px and greater. On mousing over, the rest of the signature is displayed. This seems to annoy a lot of my members thou.Is there a way to show the overflowed text on button press using jquery or any other way?Edit:Another way to ask, a show/hide script that shows a max-height of 150px but on click shows the rest of the content.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWe have an application where we page 1 has a submit button. As soon as this button is pressed, button would be disabled and new resulting page would be displayed. Now what is observed here is, when the user clicks the back button, page 1 is displayed back, but sometimes the submit button is still disabled.
I was asked to work on fixing this, and I also need to consider several test cases for testing this function. So what I did for this is, on <body> elements onload() event, I called a function which would enable the button, if disabled by anymeans. But on clicking back button, I found that onload() event of <body> element is not called. Why is this happening? Should there be any other event to be considered for handling this.
Another usecase, which I need to consider here is restricting invalid user agents. We have some logic internally to decide if the browser is a valid one or not. For testing this, I created my own user agent using UserAgent switcher plugin and invoked the app and it worked fine.
But, say I start with a valid user agent, click submit (at this point, button is disabled) and I navigate to some other screen and at this point, I change to invalid user agent and click back button, I should still get my submit button enabled back.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been tweaking a small AJAX login / user search page and I've run into a problem. I have three buttons, "Submit Query", "Add User", "Delete User" and a JS using DOM to modify everything on the login.html page.
I have a single external CSS file that controls the login.html page, buttons included. The way it works right now is the "submit query" button is blue, "add user" is green, and "delete user" is red.
In my JS file I diable the add and delete buttons if that user name already exists. Disabling the buttons is working correctly but changing the color of the disabled buttons isn't working. Here's what I've tried so far:

I've got a form inside a PHP script that posts to itself, does some
processing on the PHP side, and if it looks good, PHP sends a HEADER
command that redirects the user out. All was fine until I added a
button disabler onSubmit to keep users from submitting twice. Now the
form disables the button as requested but just refreshes the page... it
doesn't get to the HEADER command.
Any idea what the problem might be?
