i ve tried to auto login into an asp.net website. using javascript i can automatically log in to the URL... website but the same code have not worked for the website i ve tried. it have not even fill the username and password in the required filed. it just taken me to the login page of that website.

I have a js script to unlock a user account on my windows xp system below. Can anybody help me for a js code which can be used to connect to another windows system in the network with a username and password and run this script on that system and ends the session? the script can be placed to that system. I just need a script which logins to that system and run this script on a periodic basis and ends the session after that. The current script "autolock.js", unlocks the user account which has been locked by invalid password tries.

So if the user clicks on a link that requires authorization, this div is made visible with javascript. In the login panel there is a form consisting of a field for the user name, the password and a submit button. What I want to do is when the user entered his name/password and clicked on submit I want to do an asynchronous request and check whether the password was correct.
My question now is: What is the best way to do this check? Intuitively I would create a response xml file where I store a variable like <correctPassword>1</correctPassword> and check whether this variable is 1 (true) or 0 (false) and react accordingly.
Is that the way to go or is there a better approach to achieve this?

So i made a bookmark with this javascript injection, that fills in the info, and focusses on the 'aanmelden' button (='login' in dutch), so that i only have to press enter to continue. When I click on login button, the logout button should get enabled and the login button should get disabled. I tried various combination of single quote and double quote but I think I am missing some fundamental rules of single and double quote combination....or may be something else.
Using the very basic jqModal example, isn't it supposed to auto size and auto center the modal on the page? I placed a table that was wider than the modal's default settings and it's off the page and does not create scroll bars on the page to see the hidden section of the modal.

If not, is there a way to run a 'echo %USERNAME%' from DOS command
window and obtain the output. I realize there's an inherent security
risk if Javascript were to allow that.

Basically, I need to get the user id without the user having to supply
