Im trying to build a simple 'ajax' drop down field which will show more attributes from a certain field.if you were to click on one of the episodes another field loads without the page refreshing, this new field also has not been loaded with the original page. It has been updated separate to the page.
I am working and designing a website, and have put the simple JQuery drop menu from css tricks on my website, but every time i zoom in and out the website using ctrl +&- the site gets smaller or larger however the navigation moves and some bottoms from the menu drop down to the left or right under the first or last buttons, so does anyone know how i can fix and block the menu from moving around using HTML and its own CSS Style page, let me know.
click on the link below to see the demo for the navigation.
Well I have used this same script a few times, but this time I am having an issue, When I hover the text the drop down shows, as soon as I try to hover the drop down it will disappear.I am also trying to make the background stick on main text (hover text) untl the mouse moves off. Been stuck on this for hours. Here is my HTML
I have the perfect form for a client - but its missing one thing. She sells hair clips in various colors. A user can select a hair clip color and quantity quite easily (as seen in the code below). My issue is that she wants to be able to give the user a 'special price' based on the quantity ordered by the user. Contrary to simply adding the default price of $7 over and over again based on the quantity selected. The way I want it to work...
1 clip is $7 2 clips are $12 3 clips are $22 5 clips are....etc.
...however, with the way that the javascript is set up now I'm only able to select one default price. This means that whatever quantity is selected -- it's simply multiplied by the number 7 to provide a total.
1 clip is $7 2 clips are $14 3 clips are $21 5 clips are....etc.[code].....
All I need is a script to check whether a field contains an exact code. For example,
A user goes through a game, collects pieces of the code - In this case random numbers or letters to form a 9 digit code.
The user can then enter this code into the field, hit submit and told whether they've cracked the code or not.
So basically something like, if this field contains "123456789" then go to WellDone.html but if it contains anything else other than this code then go to BadLuck.html ,
I'm having some trouble trying to get a simple GET to work.
I have a page called 1.php with the following code:
This all works fine when I link directly to the page (I.e [url]), however when I load this page through jquery (so the url becomes [url]) the GET functionality stops working.
If I want to send something simple to the server and I don't need a response, instead of using AJAX, I use this:
<html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function sendToServer(someText) { var fakeImg = new Image(); fakeImg.src = "http://localhost/takeparam.asp?param=" + escape(someText); } </script> </head> <body> <input type="button" value="press me" onclick="sendToServer('baloney');" /> </body> </html>
Is there anything inherently "wrong" with this? I know that it requires javascript enabled. As far as I can tell it will work on more platforms that AJAX so that should be a good thing, right?
I'm actually new on jquery ajax. I just wanna ask a little idea about how to create simple file upload (with form) using ajax. I tried using this code: //form html <p id="status"></p> <form id="form1" enctype="multipart/formdata"> <input type="file" id="photo" name="photo" /> <input type="submit" id="save" name="save" value="Upload" /> </form>
Heres the code for sub-account-ajax.php: <?php if (isset($_POST['email_address'])){ echo 'youre set'; }else{ echo 'nothing set'; }?>
When this code is executed I do not get any alerts or any error messages whatsoever. I've been pretty good with figuring things out so far with jQuery, but this is the first I'm stumped with.
I'm trying to create a simple registration form with ajax validation. I've got the form working almost how I'd like... a message appears on the page with the errors for each field entered incorrectly.
The problem is all the error messages appear in one div together and I would like to have each field have its own div containing only its own error.
I think I need to wrap my error messages in xml and use something like this - Code:
- but can't seem to get it working
Does anyone know how I should modify my code to do this?
I'm looking for have a text field when a user clicks in the text field a drop list of values appears for the user selects from and populates the text box they clicked. Is there anywhere I can find this or something similar?
My database saves the cars make and model to the row in the database. On the "Add a Job" page, you have to enter the make and model of the car in by hand. I'm looking for a way to have these in a dropdown list, but if the make/model isn't in the list to be able to add it manually.
I can get the makes and models form the database and get them to fill a dropdown list, but then there isn't any provision for entering a make/model manually without going into PHPMyAdmin.
i figured this would probably be best done in JavaScript, but can't find any info on scriptsearch, hotscripts, etc
I have a dropdown menu and two checkboxs and when the user selects something from the dropdown menu I need it to change the text in the textbox field to 80. Then if the user checks off the first checkbox it'll add 20 to the total and if they select the next checkbox it'll add 30. When they change the textbox value it should uncheck the checkboxs and bring the value back to 80.
I have a DB query that returns CustomerID, CustomerName, CustomerContact, CustomerSalesID. This Query populates a dropdown.
I need to have the Customer Contact applied to a text field and the customer Sales ID used to select the SalesRep from a different drop down when you select a customer.
Not too hard I'd think. I don't think I need to go as fancy as AJAX since I've already called the query when the page loads, that data is already there.
I have this code, I know it has ASP in it but the ASP isnt giving me the hard time, the javascript is (I think...). Right now users can use this drop down menu to get to a certain page, but instead i need to have them type in a number and then have it go to that page in a new window (as they are PDF files) and if not, display an error. Right now I have
<select name="catalogPage" > <%for i = 1 to 396%> <option value="<%=i%>.pdf"><%=i%></option> <%next%> </select>
And that works fine, but Ive tried countless different things and nothing seems to give me the desired result.
how to create a somewhat simple form. The form will have text fields for 'Name', 'Phone', etc. What I want is to have a drop down list, which has different insurances to choose from (i.e. Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Senior products), and say when I choose 'Senior Products', new text fields pop up within the form to add their 'Address' and click a checkbox that states they authorize to be contacted. These new fields aren't visible unless they choose 'Senior Products' from the drop down list.
I want to carry out form validation for drop down lists. My website has 10 drop down lists. I want an alert message to be displayed whenever the user selects a blank field from a drop down list. One of the sample drop down list runs as follows:
[Code]...
How can I include a function that displays an alert message whenever a user selects a blank option from the drop down list?
I want the drop down to "activate" the option values in the input field. So, when the user changed the options, they wil automatically appear int he input field.
I have a form that has a pretty complicated combo box - a user starts typing text, it queries a database for matches, and displays the results to the user. The user can then select the match they desire and it has a value id, which I am currently sending to a hidden field in the form. So, for example: user starts typing in a movie name, Seven - it returns Seven and user selects it. The form submits the id of the movie seven (say 12) to a hidden field.
Where I am stumped: Once a user selects a movie title, I have another drop down select box that is to display the available formats of the movie by querying my database based on the product id (12) and returning the available formats in the list:
DVD BLUERAY VHS
I am pretty good at programming, but I cannot figure this out - how to make the select box fire and return results once the value for the textbox has been captured.
