I currently have this pop-under JavaScript code that basically loads a pop-under upon page load,Is there a JavaScript code that executes both codes above, from an external website, and runs every time the page is loaded?
I am trying to update the contact in this code using an external js file and targeting the "Contact me" node using the DOM: (see my js attempt below.):
external js: (as you can see, I can't even get the alert to work, so I am having trouble traversing the DOM.) Eventually, what I'd like is the js file to setAttribute of the <a href> to my current email.
// contact me email
var getnavmain = document.getElementById("navMain").getElementsByTagName("ul");
var emailtarget = getnavmain.getElementsByTagNames('li')[0].innerHTML;
I need a JavaScript code to load pages into another frame. The thing is, I want to control the pages that are loaded using an external javascript (.js) file.
I have some code that works great when used inline (inside of an html page). The inline code looks like this and has an onchange = "gotoTest(this);" as part of the select element
I am working on a slider for a client site and all works fine when I place the css directly in the page - but when I move it to external file it does not pick up any of the styles that are required to make the slider work.
I am writing a java application as a mozilla extension. Because mozilla uses javascript for the frontend, i need the javascript to call my external java application and pass one parameter to it.
This works fine when I place this code under the html in the main source, but if I try to add this Jquery code to an external js sheet it doesnt seem to work?
Currently my js sheet is called in the header, when I move this link to the footer of my page the code works again, so Im guessing this has something to do with where the jquery code is placed in relation to the code Im trying to hide?
How I can keep my js in the header but still make the content disappear on click?
I am building a stand alone help file system (.chm) I have a script for popups that I intend to re-use through-out. The code works fine when the script is above the <head> tag in the html document.
However, I have been unable to get the page to load if I just link to the script. It seems that the script link needs to be placed in different locations dependsing on what you are doing. Any insight?
My website was recently ftp hacked and a file inserted into it - js.php - which seems to be some sort of advertising spam programme. Having spotted the file I have renamed it to hide it but lots of other sites are still referring into my site looking for this php file. What I would like to do is to *just* open a java alert box on the referring sites to alert the users that the site has been hacked and that they should notify the webmaster so that he can fix his site.The line referring into my site is -
Two quick posts in my first hour of joining this site -- from what I see it's a great resource, so I'll throw out another question I have.I was looking in the firebug debugger and noticed that my main .js file was somehow being called twice, but I don't see where. There are dozens of files involved in this particular problem, so I think the best way to go about solving it is to test - in run time - if my js file is already in place on the page, do nothing - otherwise call it. This is pseudo that I have monkeying around with but it's not working.
Code: function checkFile() { var fileExist = new fileExist();
I'm writing this routine that calls the length() member of java.io.File. Is this object generally available in most mainstream browsers, or do some of them lock it down?
I have the following script in my jsp. I want to cut this script and include it in a .js file But it is not working with me.
Here is the script : Code: <script language="javascript"> function checkForUnaddeditems() { var mainElement = document.forms.mainentry var quatityValue = mainElement.<%=quantityelement%>.value var productIDValue = mainElement.<%=productIDelement%>.value var price = ""; .....
I copied the previous code into a check.js file and referred to it in the jsp by Code: <SCRIPT type="text/javascript" SRC="check.js"></SCRIPT>
Have a question regarding the comparison function on the At & t website URL...The site allows you to select different types of phones then generate a comparison chart based on your selection. I need to construct a similar comparison chart, but have no idea how to start the coding process.
I know that this is partially a PHP code, however; the portion that I need help with is Javascript so I decided to put it in the javascript category. This code takes the text contained in $code5 and puts it in a .js file. The problem is that when the text in $code5 is placed in the .js file, the backslashes () before the quotes (") are deleted. I need these backslashes to remain when the code is placed in the . js file. I tried adding a second backslash next to each backslah to see if that would work, but it didn't.
I'm writing a script and I've encountered a problem.. I have a txt file with many words, each word in a different line. For example: the file words.txt contains:
word1 word2 word3 word4 word5
I need to load the content of the file into a variable in my script. I prefer that all the words will be in the same variable with line breaks, but if you'll figure out a way to put it in an array, it's ok too. I really don't know how to do it, and I tried to google but didn't understand.. By the way, I don't want to change the txt file to js file, I need it to remain txt..
I got an [object error] from IE 7.0.5730.11 when moving the <script src="..." type="text/javascript" /tag from the <headpart to the <bodysection of a HTML file.
Is not possibile to include Javascript code via <script src="..." type="text/javascript" /from the <bodysection, instead from the <headone? If yes, anyone has any idea of which the problem could be? If not, how can I programmatically include a javascript external file inside the <bodypart of a HTML file, for example, using Javascript to some particular native functions?
I have a external file for example abc.js ,in this abc.js file no functions ,it contains some scripting,i want to call the scripting file though html I use the code
on a clients site, i am gettign one file that seems to be cached by aol, and i can not seem to get aol to get the new file. he dials into aol strait, and there is no company sever to worry about. so the client sees the old file and gets on my case. just wondering, is there a way to maybe put something in the file header, to make aol get the new file? it has been about 4 days. all the other files that were changed worked out okay just one is not working. i have checked the browser and tried to clear the cache in ie, and still no luck. the client dials in, so there is no company server to worry about...
