When a user in somewhere of a site, he/she may want to login to access some user restrict pages. He/she clicks a login link on the menu and sign in on the login page. How to use JQuery to let the user back to the page where he/she clicks the login link?
I have a div containing an image like 1 in the diagram I only want to show the top of the image like 2 in the diagram When I hover over the div I want the image to scroll up to show the bottom of the image like 3 in the diagram It seems really simple but I'm completely stuck
I'm working on a page, where I want to use jQuery to build a "Portfolio" div that contains pics and info about some of my work. I found a bunch of cool tutorials about making a slide show, but they all have a sliding animation. With my page, the sliding animation would look awkward. I'm fine if it just replaces the current div with the next one. I'm just planning on using a previous and next button (Within the same div) to cycle through these.
I thought this would be easy but I'm stuck and I can't describe what's really simple so I've drawn a diagram. [URL]. I have a div containing an image like 1 in the diagram. I only want to show the top of the image like 2 in the diagram. When I hover over the div I want the image to scroll up to show the bottom of the image like 3 in the diagram. [URL].
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "[URL]"> <html xmlns="[URL]" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
I am using a Jquery/PHP/MySQL login script which is supposed to display an error or success message when the user enters their username/password and also if the username/pw is successfull go to a secure page. Right now as I have it coded, this isn't working properly. Basically nothing is displayed either way. Also, wasn't sure if I just needed to replace, the ?secure-page part with the file name of the page I want to go to if successful? Here is the code as I have it now.
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <html>[code].....
Using the following code example from Scott Robbin, which simply allows for separate html pages to slide in and out of the one screen, I wanted to expand this by sliding in some DHTML.
Here is the page-sliding code used: [url]
DHTML animated code: [url]- [url]
But, at best, only the images show, placed still and next to each other. As you will see the DHTML is a rotating set of imagery. Something in the page-sliding code seems to be preventing that DHTML animation from displaying as it should. Like I said the images will be recognised, but they don't display - I've even tried hard linking to the images.
Here's my page: [url]
Here's the page which I have on my server, the one I would like to have slide in: [url]
To see the sliding animation click the bottom "What cachet does" option that slides the right hand pane in.

If slideToggle()'s parameters were expanded to include a separate callback for sliding up and sliding down. Or for backwards compatibility, perhaps include an optional boolean parameter in the callback to more easily discern between a slideUp and slideDown operation.
I want two buttons: one for login and another for logout. Initially login button is enabled and logout button is disabled. When I click on login button, the logout button should get enabled and the login button should get disabled. And after that, when i click on logout, the login button should get enabled and the logout button should get disable.
Here's how far I could go with it,but it doesn't work.
I have a a html page that is used as a login page.I know it is not secure but this is just for learning purposes, I'm not using it for anything important. My problem is that when I put in the correct login all that happens is the page just clears the text boxes as if you were starting over.I am trying to get it to go to register.html which is located in the same directory as the login page.
I want to know if there is a way to prevent users from manually typing in the URL and entering the page after they have already signed out?
I was able to make the back button disabled.
Let's say if they have already click logout and when they click back, it won't go anywhere, which is what I want.
But, if they manually type in the url address, it will take them to that page. What I want to do is after they logout and whenever they try to type the url, it should not take them to that page, but instead to the login page.
I am just trying to have a login form on a page using div tags. After successful login without refreshing the page, the textboxes on the form should be replaced by Welcome message or displaying username and Logout button.
Everything is working fine, except I cant get it to work on page load, regardless of the line you should just comment out to get it to work I have tried playing around with the code over the last couple of days, but I just dont know enough about JvaScript to get it to work
i have a login area (user/pass text boxes). when the user submits the form, the page is reloaded with with a global php variable "loggedIn" set to true. i also store the username and password in the page in a hidden form -- so that it can be passed to other pages on the site through standard navigation (maintaining the "loggedIn" status). however, is there any way to save this information if the user hits refresh?
as it stands, whenever the user hits refresh, the user/pass data is lost, and loggedIn is set to false. can this be worked around without using cookies?
I have Google Mail login page, saved locally to C: disk. I want to edit its source so, that when entered username and password and clicked on "Login" button it did absolutelly nothing, but the form did not reset. I tried deleting from the source "form action = https"//....", "method = post", "onsubmit = ...".
So, when the form is submitted, nothing happens(as I want it to be), but the field values are reset(what I want to avoid). I also tried inserting to source code "form onsubmit = return false", but the username and password values are still reset.
I want to make a login area and a user registration page. I don't want to build this from scratch, so I'm looking for a script or application that I can insert into my website.I know WP and Joomla have a login area and a user registration page, only I'm looking for a lighter version. A login area like WP or Joomla but without all the other features that I don't need.
