I'm doing 1 web-system, where login page in .jsp but other functional page in .html where I use javascript to do function. So if user knows any other html page's url then they can browse directly any of those page. But I've to prevent them & send to login page if they try to browse with out login. Very sad I can't do it

After login the user gets the application screen where most of the server communication is done by ajax (json). If there was no ajax communication for a long time (timeout), the server (php) sends a session timout (something like error=timeout) and wants the user to sign in again. Now comes the tricky part:I want to show a window where the user enters the login information. Now the application should send these information to the login.php and after acknowledgment, the last ajax request should be sent again.Is there a possibility to send an ajax request again with same settings?

The web site I am working on has 3 frames: left frame is for the

I want to display the login screen as soon as the Session Timeout
expires, so I realized I should redirect to the login page when the session
ends. (Global.asax in VB . Net, I Included code in session_end function)
The problem I am having is that the login window is open in the last
frame used, and I want to delete the frames. I mean I want to display the login page
in a normal document without frames in the same active web browser screen.
When a user in somewhere of a site, he/she may want to login to access some user restrict pages. He/she clicks a login link on the menu and sign in on the login page. How to use JQuery to let the user back to the page where he/she clicks the login link?

So i made a bookmark with this javascript injection, that fills in the info, and focusses on the 'aanmelden' button (='login' in dutch), so that i only have to press enter to continue. a short form with some basic information if they want to access a
number of PDFs on their website, once per session (please don't ask me
why). Submitting the form sets a session cookie.
Specifically, if the user clicks on "example.pdf," I'd like to have
one of two things happen:
1) If the session cookie is set, the PDF is accessed transparently.
2) If the session cookie is not set, the user is sent to the info
form, and on submission is either (a) passed through to the PDF they
clicked the link for, or (b)at least is sent back to the original page
where the link resides so they can select it again. My initial thought
for the latter case was to have the form open in a new window, then
have a close button on the subsequent confirmation page so the
original page is still open in the background.
Does anyone know is it possible to check if ajax call was redirect? i mean I connect by Ajax to one URL but I'm redirected to other url. Is there a way to check that my request was redirected? this situation happen when some urls are only accesible when you are logged (i mean you have session) and if you losed session you are usually redirect to other page. But I don't know is it possible to check that my call was redirect. For now wheatever my AJAX call was redirect or not i get status 200 (it's OK)...
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is my first adventure into PHP/Ajax/MySql/Javascript and is pretty much my first web project. I've been trying to tackle this problem for a little over a week now. My main objective is that I want to display php content pages inside a div on the index page without refreshing the page (iframe style). I don't want to stop search engines indexing the individual pages so I need a mechanism to redirect to the index page so that the page is displayed properly. I'm not bothered if it takes them to the exact page and I'm redirecting them to the section of the site where they the page is kept.
I also want a mechanism to redirect if a second search engine link is clicked that belongs to the individual page (ie image links that belong to the same page). This is only a problem because the php session has already been opened and a php variable has been set by the first redirect. All the redirections are taken care of by PHP and I got the redirection of multiple instances working ok by setting and unsetting session variables. This PHP code is included on every content page.
But, when I added links to the index page and try to navigate between pages, it all goes pear-shaped.When the links are clicked it calls up the Javascript code, inside which a PHP variable is set (I dunno if this is the "done" thing, but I came across the solution somewhere on the Interweb). This is the first thing checked when the content pages are called up. If the variable isn't set, then it runs through the redirect options.
The problem is that after clicking the link when the page displays it always refreshes the index page which I don't want it to do and which is why I'm thinking it's the setting of the PHP variable inside the Javascript that's going wrong. (Also why this question ended up in this section). Is there any way of getting this going without passing the variable into the url (not that I'm against this option)? Additionally, are there any potential security threats that should be tackled (bearing in mind that I don't want to use cookies, I'm not against this either but decided if they are switched of it may become an issue, and I'm not going to be handling any sensitive information). I really don't want to use Iframes due to any javascript switching off related problems (yes there is a javascript testing function included in my full code!).
I am using a Jquery/PHP/MySQL login script which is supposed to display an error or success message when the user enters their username/password and also if the username/pw is successfull go to a secure page. Right now as I have it coded, this isn't working properly. In my project i am using ajax and jquery. After going to a page via ajax without page reload i want to see the same page if the user refresh the browser. I used the cookie plugin inorder to solve. As it is not safe i am trying to do the same using session. I have dowloaded the jquery session plugin and initialized the session variable using the below satements.

I want two buttons: one for login and another for logout. Initially login button is enabled and logout button is disabled. When I click on login button, the logout button should get enabled and the login button should get disabled. And after that, when i click on logout, the login button should get enabled and the logout button should get disable.

The $_SESSION['delCatFormID'] variable in the process.php page is incorrect, and never equals the posted variable.
I am trying to implement a log out feature, which closes the current page and opens a new session. Since the webpage is authenticated, user need to provide the username and password. I have written the following code for it.
The problem is that it is not closing the page but opens the new page with out asking for the username and password. The web page is uploaded on apache server. I tried this code on a test basis. But it is giving a warning before closing. I also want to avoid that also.

I want to know if there is a way to prevent users from manually typing in the URL and entering the page after they have already signed out?
I was able to make the back button disabled.
Let's say if they have already click logout and when they click back, it won't go anywhere, which is what I want.
But, if they manually type in the url address, it will take them to that page. What I want to do is after they logout and whenever they try to type the url, it should not take them to that page, but instead to the login page.
