Write a JavaScript/HTML program that inputs two integers a and b in an input text box, and outputs all odd numbers between a and b (a and b are expected to be between 1 and 30, and a<b)
The assignment is: Write a JavaScript program to find all Pythagorean triples for side1,side2 and the hypotenuse, all no larger than 500. Use a triple-nested for loop that exhaustively tries all possibilities.
PHP Code: <script type="text/javascript"> var side1;
I'm looking for a way to balance ragged lines on the web and fix widowed type. I was able to find only one page (http://bangpound.org/node/5098) with a script, but it isn't working for me.
I'm confused about declaring variables. I see variable explicitly declared with the keyword var, both inside and outside of functions, and I suppose that depending on where it is declared relates to variable scope. BUT, I also see variable used that have not been explicitly declared with var. What determines if a variable needs to be declared?
I need a way for a html page or something similar be able to determine what it's full path is. It must self-determine this. Any recommendations of what route I should take to figure this out?
Having a small problem with writing out the matches from an array using a For loop.
I have two arrays, lets say arrayA and arrayB. In arrayB are numbers which are a number of miles, ie 1,2,6,4,5,6,6. And in arrayA are the days of the week. Each day of the week is associated with a mileage, ie Mon = 1, Tues = 2 etc.
My script has found the largest mileage in arrayB. Next I have to find the days of the week that match this highest mileage and write these out, along the lines of "The highest mileage was 6 run on Wed, Sat, Sun."
I have managed to get a For loop to work with this BUT..... I can only get it to write out the first instance of the day the match is found. ie "The highest mileage was 6 run on Wed,"
I have a successful php-based login screen for users. There are two radio buttons the user can select.
1) Login into Account Page (on my server). 2) Login into Affiliated Page (not on my server -- another website).
Now by default the radio button for the Account Page is selected. My question is, if the user selects the second radio button, how do I tell the form to now process the username/password for the affiliated site?
Currently, the action attribute in the form tag is set to "process.php" when the first radio button, Account Page, is selected. No big deal there.
But when they click the second radio button, I need the action attribute to process on the affiliated website by sending the username and password to this page: "http://www.affiliatepage.com/process.aspx"
So the issue is how does the login page know which form action to take?
Do I need to create two forms? If so, should the form for the Affiliate Page login be hidden? Code:
I just started a programming class and stuck in a section of my assigment. Last instruction: "Write a script that reads an integer and determines and output XHTML text that displays whether it it odd or even.{hint: use the remainder operator. An even numder is a muiple of 2. Any multiple of 2 leaves a remainder of zero when divided by 2.}
im trying to make a program that passes an array to a method. the method then finds the smallest number in the array and passes that number back to the main where its printed out. I am getting an error saying: "error: number cannot be resolved to a variable". I am using drjava. here is my code.

I am totally new to jQuery and no good knowledge on javascript. However, I was assigned a task, to convert a javascript program to jQuery due to compatibility problem on browsers like Chrome and Safari. My program originally use javascript xmlDoc.load('....') to read XML file, and then use document.write statement to write html tables on client side. Something like this (the sample below may got lots of syntax problem as I jut want to show the major part):
Code: document.write('<TABLE >'); var y=x[0].getElementsByTagName('NoOfRows'); for (i=0; i<=noofrows-1 && i<=y.length-1; i++){ document.write(' <TD>'); document.write(z[j].getElementsByTagName('RecordDetails')[0].childNodes[0].nodeValue; }
Now I changed to use jQuery, I can read the XML file elements. However, when I try to write the table, it failed:
I have a client that has ads on her website that really slow down the site. These ads are called by an off site javascript file and I want to use a jQuery(document).ready or similar method to call these files after all of the site content has loaded. But these files contain document.write functions to add more javascript files. Since I want to load the files after everything else has loaded, this in turn makes the page blank and then loads the ad. Is there a way to position where document.write will write to?
I have an assignment to create a program in JS but I have not read JS much more. So, for this assignment, can anyone help me to solve this assignment? Check attachment. [URL]
I'm trying to write a Tic-Tac-Toe program in JavaScript. I have an array containing the state of the grid. For some reason when I update the "O" for the computer's move, it doesn't show this in the updated grid. I don't understand why.[URL].. I'm brand new to JavaScript, and sometimes I accidentally use syntax from C++ or PHP when writing, so it could be something as simple as that. I just can't figure it out.
