If sort this work:
var myarray= new Array(10,16,35,"0.1",8,4,22,19,1,22,35,9,26,38,40);
with code
function function1(a,b)
{return a - b}
var order02=new Array();
order02=myarray.sort(function1);
but instead of 0.1 I use 0,1 (with comma) not work;
Is possible to solve?
Further, in the function for to sort, what is the difference
between this
function function1(a,b)
{return a - b}
and this
function function2(a, b) {
if (a b) { return 1; }
if (a == b) { return 0; }
if (a < b) { return -1; }
}
If I use 0.1 they work good both;
If I use 0,1 (with comma)
they work dissimilar (different result) and both whatever not work.
I am new with java and now i have an assignment to convert an improper fraction like 9/5 into a mixed number 1 4/5. I got how to convert it but if i have 4/5 and the output should give back 4/5 not 0 4/5.
Is there any way I could solve this problem? (I haven't learn "if then" yet? Just start from beginning
I've used jQuery ajax and .post a lot, and several times within the very application that i'm having issues with, but I've never run into this issue before.I've got a table of items and categories, sorted by a sort number. in the same cell that the sortnum input is in, there is a span with a status id that differentiates between items and categories so i can modify the correct records in the correct database table.First, i select all of the inputs and then sort them by the value of the input. next, i loop through the inputs, creating two arrays: one array contains the type of entry, and the other contains the id of the entry.
After the loop, i join each array into its own variable, sortlist and typelist. Next, i perform a .post passing the two lists to my server.The problem is, on the server side, those two variables are getting a "[]" appended to the end of them, and since i'm working in coldfusion, the only way to get data from them is with evaluate. I can get by using evaluate(), but i'd rather not have to.So far i haven't found a way to get the value of this variable. has anyone else ran into this issue and found a solution?
My girlfriend wrote an electronic form with some Java script code. However some buttons don't work on IE (like the "submit and "default values" battens).
Could someone please have a quick view and maybe tell me what should be changed?
I have this marquee code that works fine with IE6 on a Win 2K PC, works fine on IE7 with 2K server and also 2003 server, but will not work on 2 computers with IE7 on XP.
I am stuck with the problem with submiting form in IE. This is the part of the code for submission. I am using jQuery validate and form plugins. On other browsers it submits. Tried ie7, ie8, ie9 and none of them submitted. (actually I tried on IE9, but in ie7, ie8 modes.) And they don’t give me any error message.[code]...
It everything looks simple, but it does not work and does not throw errors. Have you any ideas, what I should try to change?
This is a code for a simple calculator that requires the input of an Area and then calculates how many packs of product are then required to cover that area, rounding up to the next full pack, The results should be displayed in a simple HTML form but its not happening. I can't see any obvious errors. Am I missing something.code...
OK so Ive been using jquery for a little bit now and love it. I am a ColdFusion developer. I have a need where I would like to present the user with a list of categories and the user can drag and drop to sort, but then I need to post this new sort order to the database. So I see there are a ton of cool drag & drop plugins for jquery. I understand how they work and I can get it to work as far as spitting out DIVS or spitting out ULs that can be sorted, but then what? So now they are sorted on my screen and not really part of the form. How do I translate that into something I can do a post to the database with? Do I do an AJAX call every time they drop an item and try to extrapolate the sort order on that item after they drop it? Do I populate a hidden form field with the constantly updating sort order list? MAybe a list of ID's? How does everyone else go about this this task? I'm sure there is more than one way and I'm sure this is a common task.
I am using a directory program that won't allow commas in my fields. I am unable to escape them, so I'd like to add them in the browser with a find and replace with javascript.
I need a regular expression that will validate a double quote comma delimited list where the odd entries are numeric and the even are alphabetical. Each pair must also be on a separate line. For example:
"1","Peter" "2","Paul" "3","Mary"
I've used the following expression to validate comma delimited lists, but without the double quotes, numeric/alpha pairing and line return restriction.
I'm working this script below that successfully selects and removes certain anchors that contain this text "d2". There are actually numerous anchors in this TD (not div) container with different (labels for the site) text strings, each anchor is followed by a comma with a space.
So I'm removing the anchors no problem (thx to jQ) - but I still need help to remove the trailing comma and associated space after each anchor I remove. My attempts at this solution are so horribly naive I won't bother posting one.
its possible to limit variables example I have a variable called myCurrency containing 3.454 well sort of pass it to a function that makes it become 3.45 though if the third number is higher than 5 it rounds it.
I have one text box , it can have values like 1 or 1,2 or 1,225,345,21 ie multiple values so ......But now i want textbox should validate weather values entered by user are proper
toString().match(/^(([0-9](,)?)*)+$/)
This is code i'm using its validating correct only ,but one problem when user enter values like this inputval:1,22,34,25,645,
the last comma is not validating it should through error
I have a array called 'data' which is used globally as it is being used in other functions. Each data[i] has array of values like data[i]= "United States,Tennessee,Anderson"; I was trying this in javascript:
data=new Array(); function display(){ //window.open(_blank,'myWindow'); document.write("<table border='1'>"); for(var i=0;i<data.length;i++)
The commas in the (Hello,World:,check1,check2,and,check3') part of the code are inserting a space between the words. But I also want to insert comma between check1, check2, and check3. I have tried the html ascii code for comma that is ",". I also tried the escape sign (as below. None of these codes worked. Does anyone have any tips?
I cannot get anything to validate a comma delimited list of stock symbols, like "IBM, MSFT,INTC). symbols are alphanumeric with a maxium length of 5. I want to block multiple, adjacent commas, and allow up to two blank spaces between symbols.
