Problem here is on the Mac the transition are jumpy and it seems to flash the first yellow div before sliding up or down. Testing on a PC it will slide down but won't slide up. How can I get the whole browser window to slide up and down with a smooth transition.
I own a game site and some users cheat by changing the browser URL. For example :
The URL for starting a game mission is this : ww.somesite.com/somethingaspx?htxm=18
And if they change the number to 87 they go to the end of he mission WITHOUT actually completing it.
They ONLY way to deal with this is by preventing users from changing the URL manually. Is there a way to do it? Like, if someone tries to change that number in the URL he gets a message and browser window closed(or something that will prevent him from going to that page)
Of course, the solution must not conflict with the normal navigation(which is the actual mission) which means the user should be able to navigate to different pages but NOT change the URL manually.
Is there a way to prevent users printing from the browser?

Right now I have a few people complaining about a div that loads scrolling info on the screen and when they scroll down using the mouse wheel and get to the bottom of the div then the rolling of the mouse wheel starts scrolling the browser window. It would be nice if the browser could see that your cursor is over the div and even though it reaches the end, not scroll the window unless you move the cursor outside of the div that you are currently scrolling.

I have a simple form for a basic expense tracking app I am trying out. The form has about 8 inputs, either select boxes or text inputs.
It works fine when used on an iPhone. On an android phone with the stock browser running Android 2.2, when I select a text field to type in, the keyboard pops up, but the page scrolls upwards so that the submit button is visible.
The text field is hidden. I have to bring down the text field in focus again and once I start typing, it scrolls again to render the submit button.

It just looks nice, because all the stuff that is always present stays in place (I guess the browser caches it?) and just the main body text fades out and the new fades in.The thing is, the 'fade out' that is triggered by the 'click' event (on the menu link) tends to be interrupted by the browser moving on to the new page. I just want to the browser to stay for half a second so that the nice fade finishes properly. Ironically, when my connection is interrupted or the new page loads slowly, it looks at its best because the fade has time to finish

On my site i use a lot of features that are unsupported by older browsers, and right now it looks pretty stupid when the features are only partially shown. So i was wondering if there's a way of making the browser look to different css files depending on which browser and version it is. For example, css3 gradient backgrounds are supported in firefox 3.6 or something, but not in 3.0. All the hacks out there is to 3.*, so it changes for the allready working 3.6 too if i hack it. I want to controll it so that i have a specific css file for the none-supporting version and lower and one for the supporting and above. I looked at a bad browser plugin (because it has some of the basic features im looking for)

So I have a webpage listing a bunch of book titles. I have coded a popup message with the book summary to appear when the title is clicked on. There is one problem. After the viewer reads a summary he or she clicks ok on the popup message, and then the window automatically scrolls back to the top. This will be a nuisance; if the user is half way or close to the end of the list, he or she would have to keep scrolling back down to his or her spot after reading the book summary.
