JQuery :: Dialog Opening Behind Overlay ?
Jul 28, 2011jQuery 1.6.2, jQuery UI 1.8.14. I use a sequence of dialogs to present a number of wizard type interfaces to my users, but I have a problem since upgrading to these jQuery versions that certain dialogs within each of my wizards open behind the dialog overlay and I can't get to it. I can see that the dialog is ending up with a zindex of 1000, and the overlay has a zindex of 1001, so I've overridden my dialog property to be 1002, and that brings it over the overlay, but then the input fields on the dialog are still not editable. The escape key will still close the dialog.
This doesn't happen to all my dialogs, but it does happen to the same ones in my sequence of dialogs each time, depending on which wizard I choose. I only see this problem with FF 3.6 (haven't been able to try newer ones yet), but things work fine in IE 8.
JQuery :: Change Dialog Content After Opening
May 8, 2009I have a long saving-process. In my Ajax-call I open the dialog with the beforeSend method.

This works fine. In the dialog, I display "Saving..." After the ajaxCall is succesfull I want to change the message and add a button "OK" to it.

But this won't work...Is it possible to change the dialog-content on the fly or is there another jQuery component to create this behavior?

Jul 13, 2009I cant really figure this out, the only thing i could see messing it up is the javascript:void(0) inside the anchor link but since there is a double click function and a click, it should only be one click.I put autoOpen which i think is also causing it, but i did that so theuser can open it, close it, and open it again so the delay "double click" is saying for the first time initialize and then the second click is opening?? if so how do i get around this?

Nov 14, 2011I've managed to do that so when i click on the first tab it will close the other open tab.The problem i'm facing is when i click on the first tab that it supposedly will not open even if clicked.It does not open but from times to times when i click a lot of times , go out of the accordion and then bring the mouse again in and click just right at the bottom of the first tab(the one it cannot be opened) and the second it sometimes open the first tab!!!

I want to add the functionality of displaying an info card (which is basically going to be a dialog box) when the user clicks on the name of some person. I'm not sure how I could keep references of each person's data or how to traverse the data.people collection from inside the click handler. Do I need to hold the data inside hidden fields? Or can I send the data.people[i] as an argument of the click handler?

Feb 17, 2010I am trying to get a dialog box to open another dialog box. Clicking on "more search options" the first time results in opening a dialog box. Clicking "search" within the dialog box results in opening up a second dialog box. But this only works the first time I click on "more search options". In other words, the second dialog box only opens up only once. To get the second dialog to open again, I have to reload the page in the browser.

JQuery :: Simulating Click With Click() 1.4 And Lower VS. Click() 1.4.1 And Higher?
Jun 27, 2011There is a checkbox on a form page, when you check it, a div will become visible with some extra inputs needed for that situation. To simulate this click on the checkbox external, I use click(). With jquery files 1.4 and lower this works properly and like expected. When using jquery library 1.4.1 or higher, something does not seem to work properly. Sooooo, the code:

Jul 23, 2005I am using the following code to display an image in a seperate

I want the window to be the exact size of the image so I set the width
and height of the window the same as the width & height of the image.
The code works, however there is a white border on the top and left
side of the image. If I add 20 to the width and height of the window
then there is a white border around the whole image.
Is there anyway to have the window the exact size of the image,
without this white border? I know there is probably a simple solution,
but I'm a beginner at JavaScript.

Sep 23, 2005I have a form on a page and when the form is submitted it should open a
new window and post the content to it.
When the script being posted to is a html page, then this works fine,
but when the script being posted to produces an svg graphic, then there
is no 'view source'. Its almost as though the opened page headers are
already set for html and doesn't like the svg xml schema.
