Onclick - Shows The Div Content Instead Of Hinding It
Jul 6, 2011
I have some script that changes the div content onclick. Now the thing is when i load my webpage, it direct shows the div content instead of hinding it and appairs when i click on the link. How can i change this?
Is this how it's done? IE 6.0 after opening bigger.html in a new page, then shows the site directory contens in the main window. ?!
The popup page bigger.html shows a larger pic of a product. In my main page I define a function 'open_popup' and call it for all the product images, in case the customer wants a bigger pictures.
function open_popup(page) { window.open(page,'Larger_Image','width=400,height= 300,resizable=yes,toolbar=no,statusbar=no,scrollba rs=no'); }
Basically, I am trying to animate the width based on the click of a div similar to an example I found online (jQuery Top Panel), and it seems to almost work.I can get this to go from not visible to showing, then to animating, but the problem is when I go to set my width to zero. What is happening is that it will show the contents just to the right of the div.
Please help me out dudes. It appears as though once I do an animation, I am unable to touch the css of a div and at the same token, when I set the width back to zero, this is showing the contents of the div to the right even though the div itself has zero width (and it actually appears to have zero width). This is the html I am using:
<div id="LoginSliderButtonShow" style="display: block;"> Login Here </div>
We are looking to implement something similar to the navigation found at this site: [URL] When you click on ABOUT, CONTACT, or LAB, the appropriate div within the content-main div shows/hides as appropriate. Fancy. I'm happy to read up on this on my own, but I don't really know how they accomplished this, so I'm not sure what to research. Since the page doesn't refresh, I'm assuming AJAX may be involved? Most importantly, I'm very interested in how their URL structure works. It looks like #about is an anchor that they are linking to. I thought about doing it in PHP, which I'm more familiar with, but I'd rather not refresh the page if I don't have to.
slideUp() works fine and it animates the sliding effect. But slideDown() just shows the hidden content but not animate it. Also slideToggle() doesn't slide it down just shows it. So only slideUp() works...
I expanded upon a script a friend helped me write, to create a simple check box that hides / shows content, as shown HERE. [URL] Unfortunately, I don't have a clue how to expand this, so that I can use more than one checkbox on the page, to open different sections.
<html> <head> <title>Title of page</title> <script language="JavaScript"> function getCookie(NameOfCookie) { if (document.cookie.length > 0) { begin = document.cookie.indexOf(NameOfCookie+"="); [Code]....
I'm trying to make a basic rss reader with a google reader-esque functionality of clicking on article names and being able to expand/collapse that article. I'm working on the expand part and am going crazy. I am having no trouble getting content and displaying it without the onclick function but when I try to integrate onclick I can just get the titles.
I have a script that I got from the net which allows me to change the content of a div by clicking an anchor link (I need the script because I have NO idea of javascript/ajax). I applied it to my test page so that when I click the blue horizontal menu (number and algebra link) the idea was that the left main menu would load from a div on another page (algerba.htm). However in the translation it does not work [URL].
Seems im moving on from the css forums to java (im scared). I am a keen learner but an absolute beginner to java. What i need to be able to do is. When a student clicks on a link in the main menu e.g number I need a something that can load the following two divs.
#contentwindow #three I already have jquery running on the page and all css is embeded for now if that is helpful. [URl]..
I have a site which loads a couple of Jquery animations on a page load. What I cant figure out is how to play a .fadeOut animation on the content when a link is clicked and before the new page is loaded.
I'd like to place an AJAX call to load another SELECT menu in my form, and I'm having trouble finding a tutorial. For your Copying/Pasting pleasure , here's an example button for which I'd include the onclick(): <button type="button" >Add</button>
And here's an example SELECT menu: <select id="idNumber" name="weekday_1['workPeriod_new'][] > <option value="1" >one</option> <option value="2" >2</option> </select>
I need a tag that doesn't go anywhere when I click on it but will show the little hand with index finger outstretched like I am hovering over the text teh tag applies to. I googled for a while, but could not find anything related to what I am looking for. I need this because I am writing a file that will execute a javascript function when I click on it, which will display some new information, so I want it to appear to the user that he/she is clicking on a link.
I have a series of links in a list. And by an onmouseover event I want to get a message <li> with an explaination between the last link and the previous one.
I'm integrating google map to my site running under phpmydirectory. The google map display nicely in FF, however, there are alignment problems to all the controls (up, left, right, down buttons) and the map is not shown in the page.
I've been looking without success for a slide show program that will rotate web pages as opposed to just images. Am I best off just using a banner rotation script or is there something out there that is available for that purpose. The wish list is for a full page rotation ( the page uses SSI) possible fading of images in IE and being able to vary the time of each image. Asking alot?
I am new to javascript and currently coding a site with scripts that are beyond my level of understanding. The problematic page has thumbnail images that can be clicked on to zoom in. When clicked, the preloaded larger image displays in a div layer that gets turned on. The problem is that ie sometimes does not display the image - the placeholder just stays blank. The script works fine in firefox and netscape (haven't tried safari yet). Since I am new to this and this only happens sporadically, I'm having a lot of trouble identifying the error or a fix. Also, the src for the images is dynamically created from the text name that displays below the bags. This is for content management purposes. Code:

Currently I have one php page with an iframe in it. There are buttons in the parent page that links to different contents, all targets to the iframe.
Now i want to avoid using iframe and I think I can do the same thing (showing different contents in one specific area) through using a few of javascripts, except that I almost knows nothing about javascripts.
Anyway, my page is something like this:
PHP Code:
I am thinking about using php code like include() together with some javascript.
