My site inventive.webs.com/ad-hoc contains lists of activities. When a user double clicks on an activity, the text will change to textbox, then double click again on the textbox to return to static text, which is so far working properly. What I want to happen next are:
1. Textbox must return back to static text when user clicks anywhere on the body. 2. When there's an existing textbox, it should return to static text when another activity list is being double clicked.
I have a textbox thats initial text color is set to grey, I want to change the text color to black when the user clicks on it, is this done by using onclick="style=color:Black;" I have tried this and failed but maybe ive got something slightly wrong or is it done a different way completely.

Any way to update URLs on a page depending on the region selected by the user. I have 3 regions, Americas, Europe & Asia. And depending on the region selected I need to update URLs on the page for the different regions.
For example, below are the 3 possibilities for the links. domain.com/americas/product.php domain.com/asia/product.php domain.com/europe/product.php
I created 3 hyperlinks, when the user click each link, it will change the color of the text of a link. For example, when user clicks Link1, text Link1 will become red color, but Link2 and Link3 unchange. Here's my attempts, any ideas??
I am trying to create a Link that changes its currently displayed text and also toggles the css.display property from inline to hidden. I'm sure there are solution outs there btu I have not been able to find one that does both functions with one click properly and is also easy to implement for people not as familiar with html and javascript. Obviously I am trying to create a show more, show less type link. currently this often shared code works fine to change the current state of the target ID's css.display from none to inline. My end goal is to be able to not only toggle the display of the LONG1 div but to also change the innerhtml of 'short1' from "Show More" to "Show Less".I am still learning about JS so Im really rough around the edges. I tried some different techniques btu I dont ahev them posted on my work pc.
I am developing a web-application using ASP.NET 3.5,javascript,ajax I have a form with two textboxes with ID's firstname and lastname. Both of them have the attribute runat="server". When the user types, I use AJAX to request the possible names. For example if the user types an 'a' in the textbox with ID firstname the textbox will trigger a javascript function that uses AJAX to get the first person in the database wich firstname starts with an 'a'. The callback function recieves this firstname and fills it in in the textbox. When i do this the content of the textbox will be the requested name and the cursor is at the end of the textbox. This prevents the user of continuing typing the rest of the name. Is it possible to select a part of the text in a textbox?
I have an HTML table with many rows and columns with each row containing info about one specific item and a delete link (there is a delete link for each row). What I want to do is to highlight the whole row (<tr> element) in the table (with a different background color) when I click on the delete link of that row (the new page opens in a new window.)
My question is: How do I highlight (by changing the bg color for the whole <tr> element or -if that's not possible- all of that row's <td> elements) the row if I have clicked the delete link in that row. I want the row to stay highlighted so that I would know what rows were deleted. I guess this'll require id-specific actions applied to the row <tr> or all of its cells with an onclick event in that rows delete link.
Alright, I'm using a Rooh.It WordPress plugin right now, but I don't like the way they do it, so I want to write my own code to do something similar.
I want the user to be able to select the text they want to highlight, and the background color of that text changes to whatever color they have selected.
Altough I'm using jQuery for some time, this is my first post here about an issue that I really got stuck with. Otherwise jQuery is really nice and simple to use.
Currently using jQuery's function loadContent(elementSelector, sourceURL) { $(""+elementSelector+"").load(""+sourceURL+""); } and href="javascript:loadContent('#content', 'page/home.html');"
to load some remote content into the main container. The problems is: i'm unable to find any working solution to highlight the current, active menu item (build as an <ul> and styled with external css), considering the main page isn't reloading - especially when i'm in no way able to understand JS at all.Would any of you have any idea how to mark the current menu item marked as active untill another one is chosen - and then repeat the function?
I am doing a lottery project in which i have 10 textbox and i want to add contents of each textbox and show result in another textbox say 11th textbox.
I am having the fallowing codes below on jsp page.
I want to add contents of textbox from(n50,n51.....n59) and show result in another textbox named (n60)
My question is that the valus stored in textbox is numeric and when i enter the value in any two of the textbox say named (n50 and n51) then the addition of its value must be seen in the result textbox say (n60) here. it does not wait for another textbox value which is left blank. the result of addition should be displayed simelteneously as i enter the value in text box.
Im updating a website to use ajax instead of Iframes. Ajax is working fine to load html content into a <div> yet my issue lies with the navigation buttons that trigger my ajax requests.
I have css styled buttons that contain <a> links </a>, i have removed the href and used a onclick event instead but when i remove the href the mouse will lose its hand cursor on hover and the css styled buttons stop working correctly.
Code:
<script type="text/javascript"> function loadXMLDoc() { if (window.XMLHttpRequest)
On click of a link , the contents get displayed in an iframe. Is there a way to search some text in the content displayed in the iframe and highlight it.
Is there a way to selectively highlight text in an OverLib popup? I'd like to be able to make some text stand out from the rest of the text that is displayed.
I tried using a one-cell table with background set to yellow, but that caused the popup not to work at all (this might be a syntax problem - I haven't been able to find any syntax examples for putting a table inside an OverLib call)
I dont know how to make the function, i would like it so that when the user enters the text it searchs the text on the page and hilites behind the text yellow. So its a bit like a "find" function that hilites behind the word that it is asked to find.
I have a list of 400+ names I am getting from a mysql database. They are listed out in a table.I would like to have a text box where once you start typing, the more I type the less matches come about
