i discovered that if i just enter "test test test" into a basic tinymce textarea, it doesnt store any html in the db. only when i hit enter at the end of a line does it wrap <p> around both sentences. and, if i just paste a block of text in to tinymce (no linebreaks), it doesnt add html markup either
so i have to tell client to hit enter at the end of any sentence, or the db just returns text with no html markup. i cant use the code below either cause what if they enter two lines? in that case there will be two <p>'s wrapped around the text?
<p><? echo row['text'];?></p>
anyone know how to get around this?
Have a small problem with a cms whereby when i try to insert default text into an input text field using the "value" attribute it gets deleted. I was thinking to force insert the text in there when the page load with javascript but not sure exactly how...

I was just doing a simple stuff of executing system copy, delete etc. commands using execCommand method of js.
I have made two textareas, in one i am inputting some text and by hitting on the buttons i am executing copy, cut etc. commands.
Problems::::----
In this the paste button is not working. Like i am copying some text from one textarea, it is not pasting into other textarea.
Also I want to do select all for the textareas only. Like if cursor is on textarea1 and if I am hitting on selectAll button it should only select the textarea1 content. Currently it is selecting the whole page content. code...

I am doing a website project and in that currently I am designing a product page. I have to design add values to text boxes and drag and drop the text boxes in the workspace and delete the text boxes the user does not want and have to draw a graphical line between the text boxes which are in order.I have designed and coded everything except the graphical line part.
I am a learner in javascript and Can we draw a graphical line dynamically between the text boxes in the webpage? If we can draw, can anyone let me know the tutorial for that so that I can learn and start coding as I have to submit that project soon.

I am using the lava lamp plugin on my navigation page and I am having trouble fixing an issue I have got. I have it working perfectly, it sits right within he height of the nav and when I rollover it works. The only problem I have is when I rollover the lavalamp line does not align with the navigation text. I have attached a screen shot so you can see how it is working and if you wanted to have a look I have attached the code:
This is the CSS; Copy code ul, li { margin: 0; padding: 0; } #line { width:auto; height:15px; position: absolute; z-index: 1; top: 35px; float:right; .....
This is the Jquery; Copy code (function($) { $.fn.spasticNav = function(options) { options = $.extend({ overlap : 20, speed : 500, reset : 2000, color : 'none', easing : 'easeOutExpo' }, options); .....
I'm trying to select a line a text and format it, only problem is there are no tags around it other than a closing </p> tag and a <br /> tag after it. Please see below the line in bold text which I'm trying to surround with <h3></h3> tags. [code]...
Anyone know whether it's possible to allow users to double click items of a multi-line text field? Of course, I want the double click to take them to another URL
getting first line coordinates of multiple line inline element.
Example HTML aaa bbb ccc ddd <span id="target">eee fff ggg hhh iii jjj</span>kkk lll mmm nnn ooo ppp qqq $(document).ready(function() {
[Code]....
Assume that span#target has a line break, when I see a browser. Then I click span#target, above function returns the head of coordinates which second line ("hhh") has. I want to have the coordinates which first line ("eee") has. How can I get that?
1. When I have the "<textarea>" code lines in it put a text-area on the page, but it puts all of the code following that first text-area line into the text-area box and doesn't execute that segment of code.
2. When there is no "<textarea>" (for the sake of seeing if the rest of it worked) it doesn't check the survey.
I'm stumped and can't figure out what to do at this point Code and pictures follow:

I am trying to use the cookies script at to make a "ReloadIfIE" script when someone clicks on a link. Basically I want to refresh the page if someone is using internet explorer due to a bug in IE. I want the text in a textarea to be saved and re-inserted into the textarea after refresh.I was told to use cookies to accomplish this.I get the error "Object expected" for the line that contains the bolded text below...Of note, I've also tried it by placing the element_id directly into the script.. but that didn't help either.
Code: function createCookie(name,value,days) { if (days) { var date = new Date();[code]............
I have a user that insists they have web applications that do this, and wants the one I'm building to do it too...
You have a table on an html form. As the user changes one or more fields in a table row and moves to the next line, the changed row should AUTOMATICALLY be sent back to the server and updated in the database.
If the user moves BACK to a line that's already been changed, and changed a field, a popup should display and ask "if the user really wants to change the field". If so, again, it should AUTOMATICALLY be sent to the server and updated in the database...
Ignoring the horridness of making that many round trips to the server and banging the database for every line, is there a way to AUTOMATICALLY do the equivalent of a submit and post the changed table row back to the php script?
But this doesn't work on a div. I am using a div because the text I am displaying contains HTML. Surely it is possible to simply set a scroll bar to the bottom in a div?
