Thats why im looking for a script that allows you to control a divs content. it is being used on this website: [url]
i am trying to make a music player where you select a song from a drop down list and then click submit. it then brings up the audio controls with the HTML5 "<audio>" tags and then you can click play and it should work. i am having trouble actually doing this though. the html is

i am having trouble making an in browser ws to be able to put the songs on it by the way. Basically its supposed to be like winamp or w/e when you download it but instead i want it in a browser. The user should be able to just drag there files in and play.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working on a website that will contain YouTube Photoshop tutorial videos which I am creating.
The videos will be added as embedded objects. I want to use a dropdown menu so the user can select which video will appear. The video itself will be contained inside of a single table cell. The content of that cell will depend on which video is selected in the dropdown.
Is there a way to do this? I have some javascript experience but I am for sure still a novice. Also, is there a link to a sample script that would be similar to what I am trying to do? I've been searching the internet but I haven't found anything similar to this yet.
1) Uses the <body onload> function but does not get blocked by pop up blockers and firefox. (This site, sitepoint, has a pop up that is not blocked)
2) Stays open and does not reload when someone clicks on the trigger link again. If someone click it should just bring back the same window.
3) The window always stays in front of other windows unless minimised.
I have a tiny flash player(with controls) in a table on it's own html page. It only plays one piece of music. But I need an unusual popup script which I can't seem to find. I want the tiny player (75 x 30) to popup on it's own without all the window (chrome?) surrounding it. I want it to be in either the top or bottom left corner. I would also like it to popup on load but turn off when I go to a particular page that I have a sound video on and then turn off completely when they leave the domain. It is a music site. How do I get around annoying popup blockers.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am using XSPF Web Music Player slim, and whenever I put it into a web page and play it using Google Chrome or Safari the song starts playing twice. When i press the pause button one instance of the song keeps playing while the other keep going without any control over it. This only happen on Google Chrome and Safari on both Windows and Macs so I think it is a problem with the player and WebKit.
I am not using play-list file because the player is only playing one song so I used some parameters somewhere for the player making it so I did not need a play-list file. I also wanted it to play automatically so included a parameter for that. This is my code:
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="720" height="30" data="xspf_player.swf?song_url=song.mp3&song_title=Song Name&autoplay=1">
<param name="movie" value="xspf_player.swf?song_url=song.mp3&song_title=Song Name&autoplay=1" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object>
I have the autoplay=1 so it will play automatically. When I take this away it only play one instance of the song but requires manual play. So you have to push the "play" button. How do I fix it so it does not play the song twice on Chrome and Safari?
I am using the jquery sliding panel, and have embeded a music player. Everytime I minimize the sliding panel, the music player stops. Here is a link to my example, if you click on radio on the left: Vertical Sliding Info Panel With jQuery
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am struggling to find examples on the web that implement Javascript
callback functions of an embedded Real Player.
There are lots of examples for Visual Basic, but I couldn't find any for
Javascript.
I am looking for any basic example.
For example, showing a javascript alert when a Real Player error is
triggered. (with examples for both Netscape/Firefox and Internet Explorer)
I am running IE8 in Windows xp64.
On the following page: [url]
I would click on the small black down arrows and open an embedded player to watch the movie and it's worked fine.
Recently this has stopped working without an obvious reason. When I click on the arrow, nothing happens and I get "Error on page" at the bottom of the browser.
Behind the arrows is the code:
When I hover with the mouse over one of them, the following displays at bottom of browser:
So my question is what could have caused it to stop working and how can I resolve the problem?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a website I created using a wysiwig builder. I can edit the code myself as well. Here's what I'd like to set up:
Background music that starts automatically.
A small button (my own graphic) so user can switch music off.
It would be great if they could toggle off/on.
Music is mp3, but could be converted.
No browser specific suggestions please. Must be universal.
[URL] If you visit that page, it has 2 drop down menus embedded in each other. One is under the name "destination weddings" and within that, there is one named "Historic Wessex Packages". It runs on a JS script (which I am currently modifying) called slide.js. The problem is that if you go to one of the other pages (like Contact Us) then slide down the destination one, then the historic one, it doesn't cope with the dynamically changing height and fails.

Apart from using an ajax-y method to load the videos, are there any tricks that would make the page load quicker with multiple videos from different sources?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am creating a very content rich news/media website that requires an audio player. The audio player should be seen by the user as soon as they enter the website and the playlist should play throughout their time spent at the website and should not be restarted or stopped when navigating the website.
We originally were using a frameset for the audio player, but the fact that none of the pages through out the site could be reached through a link in the URL bar proved to be too much of an issue.
So the new idea was to open the audio player in a javascript pop-up window. But because of the nature of the website, we found that it was very common for users to go "back" in their browser to the homepage after they had navigated away, which would cause the pop-up code to be activated again and would make the pop-up reload, interrupting the audio.
So then we moved the pop-up code to the splash page so that when you enter the main page, its already open, and it can't be interrupted. But THEN we found that the pop-up window was of course opened behind the main website's window, which made it hidden and useless.
So we currently have no solutions! All we need is for this pop-up window to take focus and be the very top window, and once its opened to never be reloaded/refreshed again.
I want to use a drop down menu and found a horizontal example from John Resig. But I want to turn it into a vertical menu. How can I do that?

I actually want to make a horizontal drop down menu with a sub menu.As far as I have researched, I think that it can be done by JavaScript. I have searched for some java scripts but they are very long and complex.
That made me wonder that for a funcitonality like a Drop down is so complex?
So here is my question : Is there any JavaScript that can be applied for drop down menu exclusively? Which just presents logic of drop down solely?
i need code in javascript to make the player select playing with the computer or other player and select who player beginning playing
