i want to display text in the password field like enter your password. i used
two text field one is for showing password and other one is password ,if user click the password text it get focus on password field it works fine in all browser but iphone it doesnt show the keyboard on focus how to resolve it .

The <div> (id='name') is displayed if nothing is entered and the user clicks submit, however if the user then enters a value into the text field, and re-submits, the <div> still appears.
I have a standard HTML form that asks the user for a dollar amount and a payment date. On the same page I want to display some acknowledgement text which displays to the user what they entered above.
For example, lets say the user entered 10.00 as the dollar amount, and 03/01/2011 as the payment date in separate HTML form text fields. Right before the submit button I would like to display to the user "By clicking on the submit button below, I agree to pay $10.00 to Company, Inc. on 03/01/2011".
I'm sure this can be done using jQuery... I'm just having a hard time finding an example.

When the link is clicked, the second text field is added successfully (field2), and when the link is clicked again, the third text field (field3) is added successfully. However, the third field does not add itself to the page, and the text for anything greater than a third field also isn't displayed after. When the user clicks on the password form field, the background image is suppossed to be replaced with a white background color. All I get is a javascript error, and I copied straight out of the newsletter.
I have a form and I have a filed named password and its id= password and the other one is verify password. I want to make a function so that the user cant make (copy / paste ) or (ctrl+c , ctrl+x / ctrl+v) because many users on password field can try to copy the password and in the verify password filed they paste it again. It shows a default value which dissapears when the user clicks on the password field. However, because the input field type is set to 'password', whatever I set as the default value is masked by *
Is there any way around this to make normal text appear but still have the input box masked when they start to type the password?
I have four pages.two html, one js and one php. First page is loginTab.html. There is a tab called "Tab One" when user clicks on it there is a script inside this html page which calls function and loads an external login.html form using ajax. in login.html there is a form and include external js code for ajax functions. What it does is when the user enters email and password and clicks submit then it triggers another ajax function which send a query to php file and compare those variables there with mysql db and returns the message to a div which is in login.html. The problem here is when I enter email and password and clicks on submit button it does not display anything. I am providing all of my code below

Now when they come onto the page I want to have the value for the username filed say "username" and the passwordfield should say "password".
