I have spent the last 6 hours working on this, and I am about to lose my sanity. I need your help very desparately. I want to create some radio buttons for building a computer for a class project. Basically, what I have now is the radio buttons in separate groups, and a function that calculates the total price of the items selected. But what I am finding impossible to get is this: I need to set it up such as that if you select a radio button in one group, it disables part of the second. What this means in my work, is that say I choose AM3 as the CPU socket, only AM3 motherboards and processors will be enabled, and the rest in these categories will be disabled.
I am trying to set it up in a way that when you first open the page, cpu, motherboard and ram groups all disabled, then based on your socket choice you get different options for motherboards and processors, and then based on your motherboard choice you get different choices for RAM.
Not sure if this should have went into the php or javascript forum. I am trying to setup a script that will automatically population a html selection option based on the choice of the previous selection. If hard code everything it will work fine example manufacturer is currently being populated dynamically when the pages loads. The issue is I am can't pass pass the manufacturer variable through to be processed to only retrieve the models for that manufacturer. The code also uses a standard ajax script which httprequest in it.
I'm looking to disable a group of radio buttons which are really images once when of them has been clicked, also a second set of radio buttons (images) are then made visible and enabled below.
If the first radio button is selected, I only want all three buttons to be visible to the user.
If the second radio button is selected, I only want the "Edit Data" and "View Data" buttons to be visible.
If the third radio button is selected, I only want the "View Data" button to be visible.
Is it possible to accomplish this in Javascript? In particular, I want to continue using the "input type=submit" buttons without having to create my own.
I am stuck on the last part of this jQuery auto-calculation script that I am working on. I want to automatically re-calculate the subtotal values based on a "radio button click". The calculation will automatically add a 10% discount when the radio button "special_(n)" "yes" value gets clicked, but revert back to normal price when the "no" value gets clicked.
View the script in action here: [url] (tip): enter a value into the 'qty' field, and the totals will auto calculate.
I am trying to turn radio buttons to show images based off the label of the radio button input instead of using radio buttons.I have to use only javascript for this and I am at a loss.
I'm not one for making my own scripts, so not quite sure about the best way to go about doing this. I've got a form with 2 different sets of radio buttons. Upon submitting, I'd like to redirect the user to a certain page, based on the selections they made among the radio buttons.
I'm trying to create a questionnaire style series of radio buttons which are hidden and then a different set of radio buttons displayed depending on the previous answer. eg
Q1 Is it a man? (if select yes then display)
Q2 Is he called John? (if no then display)
Q3 Is he called Gary? and so on...
I've been testing using the code below but wondered if anyone had any ideas on how this could be done easily?
I have a web form that I'm creating and it has some expandable checkboxes that need to be restricted based on choice.
This is my criteria:
If someone chooses checkbox number 1, they cannot choose any other checkbox.
If someone chooses checkbox number 2, they may also choose number 3 but not 1 or 4, they must also answer the question that appears below.
If someone chooses checkbox number 3, they may also choose number 2 but not 1 or 4, they must also answer the question that appears below.
If someone chooses checkbox number 4, they cannot choose any other checkbox, and must answer the questions that appears below.
One more caveat: If checkbox number 2 is chosen, and they've filled in all three lines of the question below, I need for them to dynamically add more lines as needed.
I have attached my web form so you can see what I've done. I've researched these options and tried code from various examples but I can't seem to get it to work.
I am facing an issue where a link on my website opens in a new window if you simply click on it. However, if you right click and say open in new window or new tab, it opens the same window (URL) again from where the link is clicked.
Self Service Option is a link and the JSP calls a function getSelfServSite() when the link is clicked. This is how the code flows in my case
function getSelfServSite() { getToTheLink("${myConfigInfo.selfServiceURL}"); // this is because the URL is configurable
[Code].....
I want it to go to the right link no matter how the user click it.
I have a select box where the value must be passed via the form. If the users selects choice B or Choice C then I want a specific div to show. If they choose choice A then I want the div to hide or remain hidden. It should be hidden on page load.
Ok so I have a select box where the value must be passed via the form. If the users selects choice B or Choice C then I want a specific div to show. If they choose choice A then I want the div to hide or remain hidden. It should be hidden on page load.
is it possible to make a checkbox dependent on a radio button choice? For instance in the code below, if someone were to choose the radio button with the value "admin", the checkbox value "full" (user_admin_f) would automatically be checked?
I'm trying to update a shopcart depending on radio button choice, the problem is when I'm submitting and want to go to the next page.
Imagine this, I'm on a page with 2 radio buttons, either u can pick A or B, depending on my choice the shopcart gets updated, and its placed in the bottom of the page, to that point everything works fine. But when I post from my form and get redirected to the next page it seems like my jquery function runs again and choose the first radio button even if i have the second selected when posting.$cart is the class object and i add the items with just a name and some price parameters.
What I would like to do is have a page with a dropdown menu, and depending on which option the user chooses from the dropdown, reload the page and display a particular iframe below the dropdown, based on the users choice. Also, a default iframe would load (the one connected to the default choice in the select box). I was trying to make this work with PHP (without having the user having to click a submit button) but I couldn't find a way to make it happen.
Is there any way to enable a form element(s) based on the selection in a <select> drop-down? I'm trying to enable/disable a group of checkboxes depending on which option is chosen in the <select> above it.I know how to enable/disable something when a box is checked (or text is entered into it) but I have no clue how to handle the <select> option.
I'm looking to make a list of products with 5 products per page. Therefore if there are, for example, 23 products, I want a page selector on the page that looks a bit like this:
Previous 1 2 3 4 5 Next
I will place this in as an include.
I don't seem to be able to make the previous and next buttons work though. I've tried to make it work using the following code... I'm probably doing something stupidly wrong.
i have pages titled "england_1.htm", "england_2.htm" etc... Code:
I'm using image in an anchor tag as a submit button.
We use:
document.images['img_name'].parentElement.removeAttribute('href') in ajavascript function to make a image button non-clickable (not-hyperlink). How do we make it clickable again (have a hyperlink).
i got a video page, which has images in it, each image is a link to a different video, i want to make it so when 2 lines of images reached, there'll be a button named Next (or anything, doesn't matter) to lead to the Next page of images, note that i want only the part iwth the images to change while using those buttons, not the whole page, the images are built in this way :
Im trying to configuere a form that a.a radio buttons that allow the user to choose between quarters, nickels, dimes and pennies and show image when click on my radio button.how to get the image to display whenthey click on the radio button?
how I can make each radio button call a different page. For example If i click on radio button 1 and click submit it will take me to [url].... and if I click radio button 2 and click submit .
I have a set of radio buttons each with an onclick event that has a numeric value. When the button is clicked an input box called "Total" is updated with the new value. The problem I'm having is that if a radio button is checked and one clicks on it again then the onclick event is triggered.
Is there any way to prevent the onclick event from triggering if the radio button is already checked?
