I want to disable three textareas when one checkbox is ticked. how would i go about doing this?
My code:
I have multiple forms on my website. Some of them have a checkbox which is checked by default, whereas others are unchecked by default. I'm trying to figure out how I would detect whether or not the checkbox is checked, and if it is checked, disable certain fields (not necessarily all fields), and then toggle it back and forth as I check or uncheck the box..I found this code:
Code:

<!--
[code]....
Code JavaScript:

function apply()
{
document.frm.sub.disabled=true;
[Code].....
Im using the above code. if, change this code for array of checks box not working. If i change above html code like below , Then how to change javascript?
Code HTML4Strict:

[Code]....
I want to set the color of checkbox and its text to green if it is checked and set to red if it is checked.I know how to do that in CSS.

Keyboard is Broken

Ack

Ok

I have a gridview with a checkbox (CheckBoxActiveClient) in the first column and a textbox (Copies) in the 5th column. I want that row's textbox (Copies ) to be disabled if the checkbox is unchecked in that row.

function EnableTextBox()
[code]....
i have 4 hidden fields in a form called "searchform"

I have a survey/form for people to fill out. It has 3 sections. The first question has 3
checkboxes asking which of the 3 events the person attended. I want to hide the 3 sections of the
form and then when the user checks the box sayign he/she attended certain events, to then show those sections of the form.
Currently on my page [PHP5] I have a checkbox & a input button (among other things), the button text now is hardcoded to "Next" but I need this to change based on the status of the Checkbox (cBusAcc). For example, when cBusAcc is not checked the button should be "Create", when it is checked the button should be "Next".
And this change should occur without the user needing to press on the button, just check/uncheck should change the button test...
See the code I have so far below...
...

When the user clicks a certain radio button, I want three text fields to become disabled.
HTML Code:
FTP
HTTP

Server:

Username:

Password:

Could anyone show me how to disable all the text fields above when the user clicks the "http" radio button?

I have a client who wants to automatically send coupons that are selected by the customer on this page. Now, this will be handled by a mailing list software but it was suggested by the support team that the input fields (labeled coupon#_#) could be populated by using Javascript. There are 3 coupons and here's how have them structured:
Code:

1712 SW Railroad Ave (Highway 51)
Hammond, LA 70403
I've created a admin center, that has two seperate login permissions. Admin which can edit listings, etc... and Viewer which can only view listings, and edit 1 or 2 of the listings details and not all of them like the admin. I've seen web-sites where certain text input fields are sort of Grayed out, not allowing for user to type, click in or change anything in that field. Sort of like the html text input field has been or is disabled. How can I get certain html text input fields to appear disabled, and the text that's inside un-editable or unchange-able?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've done a search for this because I'm certain I'm not the first to have this problem, but I could not find the solutions. I am marginally experienced with PHP but have no knowledge of javascript. This is for a scheduling program. Prior to generating the form, the question is asked as to how many days are needed, and the form automatically generates the appropriate # of fields. They are, for this example, as follows:
Day 1, Title 1, Description 1
Day 2, Title 2, Description 2
Day 3, Title 3, Description 3
Day 4, Title 4, Description 4
I would like to add a checkbox (entitled "Same as Previous Day") that allows the user to duplicate the previous entry, populate the fields so the database is properly filled, and make the fields it just populated uneditable. So for the example, if day 2 and 3 were the same as day 1, I could select a box for each day 2 and day 3 and their titles and descriptions would be filled with the information from Day 1.
why isn't this working ok in ie7?:
[URL]
the javascript is:
Code:

/* */
function closed_changed(day) {
[Code].....
it should call closed_changed(), which sees if it's ticked/checked, if it is it calls clear_open() and sets the four open related input elements to empty/blank (because a shop can't be open and closed at the same time). works fine in firefox (pc and mac) and safari. not ie7. why not? (the intended clear does happen but only when another subsequent closed box is ticked; it works on the previous day which was ticked; so it's lagging one behind)
So here's what i want to do:
i have 2 checkboxes,
when Checkbox A is checked, i want to automatically check the checkbox B. When A is unchecked, then uncheck B.how can i do that?
I'm trying to dynamically create a checkbox element with the checked status being true however it never works in IE, I've tried everything I can think of. The code works in firefox but IE never checks the box, when I do an alert it says its checked but it does not render the check.
var chk_box = document.createElement("input");
chk_box.checked = true;
chk_box.setAttribute ("type","checkbox");
chk_box.setAttribute ("name","vulns"+i);
chk_box.setAttribute ("value","1");
item.appendChild(chk_box);
I've also tried: chk_box.setAttribute ("checked",true);
and item.lastChild.checked = true;
none seem to work in IE, any tips?

for(i=0; i < chkBoxes.length; i++) {

I have a checkbox in a form. The form is submitted via ajax everytime a users makes any chenges to the drop down menu's in it and returns an updated value. That part is fine. the part I'm having issues with is the checkbox in the form. Initially it is set to checked. The proble I have is that when the ajax script runs it takes the value from the checkbox regardless of whether it is checked or not!
How can I get around this? Is there a way to set an initial value and another checked valus on the checkbox? I've had a look and can't find anyway to do this.
I make a checkbox:

How can I validate if the checkbox is not checked ? So user have to checked it first if they want to continue.
How do you check if a checkbox is checked?
I tried this:
if (frmForm.chkMycheckbox.checked==true)
but it didn't work.
Complete javascript idiot here. I'm not looking for code, but just an explanation of how difficult this would be to implement, and maybe some resources that could help me code this/alter existing open source code.
Basically, I want to put a cookie in a user's browser if they visit page A. If they then visited page B (which has a form on it) in the next 3 months and submit the form, a hidden checkbox will be set to "checked."
