what is the code for creating image rotation like this?
I have a rotating content js, and I want to add a pause to it when its mosed over, heres the current code:
<body>
<a id="imageurl" ><img id="Rotating1" border="0"></img></a>
<script language="JavaScript">
function RotateImages(Start)

I am using the following JQuery function to rotate content on my webpage on page refresh. It works perfectly, but all items are displayed while the page is loading before they are hidden. It looks a little odd from the user's point of view as they see all items and then they disappear. how I can make it hide all rotating content while the page loads - then just display the correct content once page has loaded?
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
$(".rcontent").hide();
var randNum = (Math.floor(Math.random() * 2))+1;

I am trying to create a banner rotating script. I want a random banner to appear when the page loads that can be clicked so you can visit a specific site which corresponds to the banner. I am able to get that to work.
I also want to be able to list the links to the other banners and have the banner image change when the mouse is placed on the link. I am able to get that to work too.
What I can't get to work is for the url to change when the new banner appears after the mouseOver. Code:
I have a script that rotates images every 5 seconds - the only probelm is when the page loads you have to wait 5 seconds for the first photo to load. How can I edit the code so when the page loads it starts with a photo already displayed and then starts changing photos every 5 seconds?
I am sure its a simple fix of adding an if ... else - but I am not really seeing it at the moment. Code:
I am rotating images at one location of my web site. My problem is if I set the width and height of the new image before I show the new image, the old image is stretched first to the new image dimensions, and if I show the new image before setting its dimensions, the new image is stretched first to the old image dimension before it is adjusted to its own dimension. I would like to load a new image with its own dimension at the same time. How can I do this?
View 5 Replies View Relatedon the right hand side I have rotating images in four image place holders. I'm rotating a total of 12 images. I need to add one more to the mix and for some reason I keep getting an undefined error on the second and third image place holder. I would have thought adding another image to the array would've been easier than this but I must be missing something. It worked fine before with each script taking the same number of images. That's what I'm thinking is wrong, the script which is replicated four times has three images rotating except the last, which has four for parameters. Code:

For instance, if there were 3 images in the sequence; currently the script cycles through all 3 images and then starts from the beginning. I would like the script to stop on the last image (so that image stays displayed) and not start the sequence again from the beginning. I couldn't get any support for hacking this script from the developers.

make a site with image wich would change based on seconds and minutes of an hour.
Image (size about 500x280) should change every second (or at least every 5 sec).
Example: If I enter the site at 15:00.07, first image i would see would be Image 0007 which changes after a second to 0008 and so on.
If entering the site 17:59.59 Image would number 3600 and next would be 0001.

I'm looking for a tut on how to create tabs for content, not tabs for navigation/menu. Yes, kinda confusing, but here's an example of what I'm after code...
If you scroll down mid way, you will see a tabbed area where it provides the options to check out: Photos, Location, Aeriel and Street View. This is what I want to mimic (not the tabbed navigation up top in the menu bar).
Can you recommend any tutorials that would teach me how to do this?

How do i create a verticle scroll bar in a div so i can scroll down to view more content?
I also want to customise the scroll bar.
This is a weird one. I have a page I'm working on, and I made a simple div that slides up to display some content, then slides down, replaces the content and slides back up again. Basically a showy news ticker.
When I created the div/animation code it ran fine. smooth as silk. However, I then decided to move that part of the html into a templated system, where some php reads a second file and outputs the contents into the webpage. (real simple stuff, it uses file_get_contents and echo to output the file contents).
Using this system, it all displays correctly, but the animation is suddenly slow and jerky. This doesn't make sense to me. Why would the animation suddenly become jerky just because the html that creates the divs is now created via php? Surely the php fires long before jquery gets involved - so why would this occur?
I wanted to start my research on the topic of slideshows here and ask if anyone knows what's the best method for creating a slideshow that should have the ability to display images and videos (and bookmark them)? It can be a plug-in, but this is for a client so it has to be okay for commercial use (and free).It should also be able to support other content like ads and polls/questionaires, in the form of a div. Also HTML 5 compatible with all the cross-browser compatibility one would expect.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create portlets that dynamically load their content (usinq jQuery). My first approach was to leave the header + footer + decorations of the portlet OUTSIDE of the dynamically loadable content. It worked just fine but I had to abandon that approach so that I could use the same code both for statically- and dynamically-loaded content (e.g. when no AJAX support was available). So far so good.
Now to my problem: I use the following code for loading my dynamic content
The loading works fine, but after the dynamic content has been loaded I can not seem to get access to it using jQuery!
Short description: Line 3 clears the content (I know! There are better solutions!) Line 4 loads the content Line 6 dumps the data on the console; this is for debuging only, so that I can establish that the correct content is loaded
After the data is properly loaded I did expect to be able to find it by traversing the DOM tree in traditional jQuery fashion (like in Line 10). However, dumping the contents of the 'tag' shows it containing no content at all; it is empty even though the browser renders the expected new result. I thought: Well! The browser holds two copies of the DOM tree; one that is the original page and one that is the modified content used for rendering". Therefore I attempted to manipulate the loaded content within the function (Line 8). The content is visible there, that I have established in Line 6. But I do not know how to access it jQuery-style.
(Why am I trying to modify the loaded content? I want to inject a title row with various decorations and clickable content.)
I am looking to make an adjustment to this script. I'm trying to find a way to do it as neatly as possible, and without breaking any pre-existing functionality.hat I'm trying to do is have the first section open by default. What makes this a challenge for me is that the boxes that assemble to create the content wrapper are drawn on page initialization.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI expanded upon a script a friend helped me write, to create a simple check box that hides / shows content, as shown HERE. [URL] Unfortunately, I don't have a clue how to expand this, so that I can use more than one checkbox on the page, to open different sections.

As you can see I am simply trying to get the javascript to write an area for the image map but I can't get it to display.
I know the code looks pointless but what I want to do eventually is use an array of locations to dynamically create the areas.
I have the following function to dynamically create an image (in this case a toolbox button):
Which works fine in IE8 and IE9, but in IE7 it refuses to pick up the style 'button'. I've even tried putting in btn.class='button' but JS throws up an error.
If I specify the style by btn.style.position='Absolute' it picks this up OK. However, it won't respond to the onclick event either.
I have heard that setAttribute is buggy with IE7, which is why I tried to specify each attribute directly.
The style sheet for class button is:
