I am looking for a simple countdown clock that displays a countdown in days, hours, minutes and seconds. I do have one on my sites's CPanel, but I don't really like the look of it. I'm not really looking for anything specific, if it looks good then I'll use it.
I wondered if anyone knows where I can get a countdown clock from?

I'm trying to make a countdown clock and it works, except only when you load it. After it's loaded it just displays the time from when you got there. Is there a way to make it run every second? I tried setTimeout("countDown()",1000) But I can't seem to get it to work. I have found others that work but they only go to one date, and I need one that restarts every Sunday.

Im having trouble implementing a countdown clock from within a php page. I am using the countdown clock from dynamic drive. It works well if I have the javascript in the php page, but when I move it to an external js file clock.js it gives an 'invalid date'. Does it have something to do with the php tags inside the function ? below is the code.
callclock.php
<script src="clock.js" language="javascript" type="text/javascript">

All I need is a simple countdown clock where I can input a random total number of seconds from a variable and it will display a countdown containing days, hours, minutes and seconds.
For example:
input: 95500 seconds
Output: 1d 2h 31m 40s
I would like this to be like a live "ticker" so the clock goes down without having to reload the page.
Let me know if this can be done.

I've been messing with a countdown clock script...
[Code]...
1. How can I remove the days feature from the clock.
2. Is there a way I can have the counter countdown to 12:00pm everyday day?
So when 0 is reached it doesn't just stop, it'll reset and countdown to 12:00pm again.

teaching myself javascript. my current self-challenge is to write a countdown clock that will tick off the days, hours, minutes, seconds until a certain date.i'm thinking that this should be what's happening in the javascript:
get current date/time (using new Date())
get future date/time counting down to (using new Date(2009,7,7))
subtract current from future (Math.ceil(movie.getTime - today.getTime))
convert resulting milliseconds to back to time format (not sure how to do that yet)write result back to html page (not sure how to do that yet, either)loop the whole thing every 1000 milliseconds.is this a workable idea? it seems the most straightforward way of doing it, but other scripts i've found on the web seem much more complicated.

I am assuming that this is an issue with the js on my index page:
[URL]
The main menu on this page has a sub-menu under "About". I've tried changing the CSS for the menu in order to make that sub-menu background be 50% transparent, but nothing is fixing it. I see things about "fade" within the js code, but I just don't see how to set how far it fades in or out.

I want to add a list of several clocks to my website, with different time zones. I found this code and thought that if I repeated it a few times - see below, and simply put a '-4' or whatever after the hours to make the different time, that would be fine. However, it only works for the first one.
<form name="Tick">
<input type="text" size="11" name="Clock">
</form>

I have the following Flash code running the photo stack at top right in this page: [URL]
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
var params = {};
params.wmode = "transparent";
var attributes = {};
swfobject.embedSWF("[URL]", "slider", "650", "260", "9.0.0", "[URL]", false, flashvars, params, attributes);
</script>
I'm not that familiar with Flash, but I've used wmode in the past to make a movie have a transparent background. Is something wrong with the syntax here?

There is a big wide problem that with IE6, PNG images display this horrible grey or white background when it's transparent. It looks ugly, but I can't seem to find a way to solve it. I've searched on google and copied scripts, inserted them in to the document I wish for the png to be completely transparent but it's still not working. I would normally just leave it, but as I want the site to look professional and the transparent png is essential to the data being displayed, I've been trying to find solutions to it.
I realise that most users have upgraded to IE 7 / IE 8 which supports transparent png images but there's got to be a small percentage of users who use IE6. I can't just say "sorry you'll have to upgrade your browser to view the data properly" obviously, so I'm trying to find solutions. I've tried using spacer.gif but that doesnt work (but it does when on table designed pages), so I found some scripts:

i have been tasked to create a web page that includes a fading background. (It must become semi transparent once the page has loaded,and remain until a new page is selected. I want to use a similar concept to: [URL]. However instead of fading out to black, i need it to fade out to white (between 10-15% image opacity). I would also need a similar central, transparent, scrollable frame/div (where each page will load up within and like the above link,i need a different background image to each page.

Im trying to make a personal home page that both shows the time and a random background each refresh using javascript. so far i have managed to get either one or the other to work but not both.i want to know if anyone could try and tell me what is wrong.the files can be found at: http://ihf.lp.pl/narik/index.htmlas you will see if you visit that the random image script works.(if u have slow net, you'll have to be patient the bg image is large)however if u visitat by the name, the index file has the clock working but not the random background. They are both present in the html, but for some reason are not working together.the relevant javascript files within that folder are: randomimage.js & clock.jsthe background images can be found at http://ihf.lp.pl/narik/images/wallpapers/1.jpg (the image names go from 1.jpg through to 17.jpg)

I am trying to find a script (and failed, even on google) to create a countdown timer on a website. The details are : a countdown timer that (a) runs off server time, not client time and (b) resets every 10 minutes. The only example i could give to clear up any questions would be something extremely similar to facebook app games : eg mafia wars etc energy refill timers so people visiting my web page would see a countdown timer that was counting down 10 minutes and then resetting itself, on the hour, 10 past, 20 past etc etc. And also, can the counter trigger a script, orwouldit be best to use a scheduled task for this? I do not want the timer to take the user from the web page.
I am not sure of the exact name of a such counter, so maybe thats why google is not giving me the answers i need. Also I know i maybe need php to run frrom a server time. I can code php half-competently, but javascript is out of my knowledge range at present (although i can usually see code and know how to adapt it to my needs etc)
