I'm using this code to force a PHP form to redirect. I already inserted a header for PHP and for whatever reason it's not working. This code works like a dream in Firefox, but it continuously loops in IE and makes it impossible to enter anything into the PHP form
The code below taken from net works as I need it. onLoad It execute another page from a different page, the only trouble is it keeps on refreshing constantly. How can I stop this??? I'm making it into a function and calling it onLoad.
Ok, so i need help writing a java script that will look at a bunch of numbers and output the highest one so what i need is for it to do something like this.
(A is my input value)
(B is my output value)
the (A) value will be constantly changing and with the script has to do is look at all of those values and output them to (b).
I am making a mini wysiwyg editor for creating pdf letters which can be printed off.
In my editor is currently a html form which saves the textarea values each time the form is submitted. I want it to save to the database everytime its changed or maybe every few seconds.
I have been searching high and low on how to do this and I think I'm at a loss because I'm so unfamiliar with js and ajax.What I would like to do is have just a single div on a page refresh every 5-10 secs; the content of the div shows what users are logged on; the content is generated by a query on my db
<div id="players"><?php $online_query = "SELECT user_log.user_id,user_log.ip,user_log.logged_in,user_log.logged_out,users.username,users.type_id FROM user_log LEFT JOIN users ON user_log.user_id=users.id WHERE user_log.logged_in IS NOT NULL AND user_log.logged_out IS NULL ORDER BY users.username";[code]....
almost all of the google results I got for refreshing a div were for updating dropdown boxes or dealt with some kind of page event...so now I'm at a loss on what else to look for..
Let me just start by saying... and I truly do mean this... I HATE frames. Now that I have that out of my system, unfortnualty I do not have a choice and am forced to use the complex structure that I am so SO needing help with. My framesets look like this
--------------------- | title | |-------------------- | buttons | |-------------------- | base | |--------------------
inside the base frame I have ANOTHER frameset... split into frmLeft and frmRight... now if your mind isnt tied into knots... I am sure this will do it... I have a button called 'add category', which is on the buttons frame. When I click the button, I get a popup with the details... I add the category details... then I need the frame titled frmLeft to refresh. Is this possible?
When a user clicks the "Close Panel Manager" link on page2.htm I would like page1.htm to be refreshed without losing the address in browser1/page1.htm. Page2.htm is a child popup from parent window page1.htm.
and thus show the updated version of the document, but unfortunately, it doesn't. To see the changes made I have to refresh the webpage manually with the F5-key.
I'm guessing the browser caches the document, but how do I stop it from doing that?
I have a web welcome-page consisting of three frames. On the left there is an index. The two others (above each other on the right of the screen) contain data related to the index-items.
I'm looking for the possibility to refresh the two related frames when an index-item in the frame on the left is clicked.
I tried this with the HREF-command but this only works for one frame at the time. <a href = "info1.htm" target = right_above>index-item_1</a> or <a href = "info2.htm" target = right_under>>index-item_1</a>
Id there a way to solve this in java-script? Or perhaps HTML?
http:[url]....but this example has a problem that after a new task has been added by ajax, it does not update the task lists ie suppose i have 2 task in the list now and now i add another one successfully, it showed me the message that 1 task has been added name "foobar" but in task list it still shows 2 tasks not 3.How to update the task list div>ul after the ajax operation Well I tried something like below
I have a page with various divs containing SWF's and some HTML and JavaScript. The problem is that, when the page is first visited using IE7, half of the content doesn't appear. So, I have created a loadDivs(); function that looks like this::
Code:
function loadDivs() { var mardi2= $('mardiGras'); mardi2.show();
My URL is: http://localhost/testproject/product.html#catId=155I want to URL: http://localhost/testproject/product.html without refreshing the page.Is this possible using javascript Or jquery ?
Is it possible to disable the browser from refreshing when settings document.location.href
for example here's what i would like to do
if you're at mysite.com you'll click on a link. that link will fire a func that will make the location mysite.com/about however i don't want the browser to refresh. instead i want to write some javascript that will do someother stuff. i know it seems pointless but for the project i am working on it actually make pretty good sense (to me at least LOL).
i don't care about clicking the refresh button or F5 right now. just not having the browser refresh when i change the document.location.
Im not sure if im going about this the right way but what I'm trying to achieve is to have my webpage seperated into two main div's.The first div contains a media player so it cant be refreshed or the media stops.The second div is used to view content.I've used innerHTML to change the content of the second div from links in the first.The problem is the URL displayed doesn't reflect the change in content of the second divI want to be able to load content into the second div using innerHTML while changing the URL so people can link directly to that content
My URL is: http://localhost/testproject/product.html#catId=155I want to URL: http://localhost/testproject/product.html without refreshing the page.Is this possible using javascript/jquery or not ?
here's a few lines of code I've got in a page that has a php database query in it and I want it to arrive at the anchor link I have called "bottom each time"
<script language="javascript">
function loadPage() { location.href = "http://www.mysite.com/help/chat/chat_window.php?theID=<?php echo $id; ?>"; }
i had a user.php page. wen i went to this page i can see the list of projects with radio buttons. so wen i select a radio button and click submit the name of the project wil be send to the next page(upload.php) by 'url' i had used get method for that.so in upload.php i can upload files and those files are displayed in table with download link each so if i press download link it wil download that file.everything is fine but here is my problem when i click on download link a popup open(open with, save like that) and the parent window is refreshing and the projectname i am getting by 'URL' is disappearing and the table is empty. with out that projectname i can do nothing.
refreshing a page once,twice or so on every given time.. (refresh 1x/30 secs or 2x/40 secs)to make it clear:example i will input 100 on a textbox (so this is my given time) and i will set to refresh the page once,twice and so on in every given time(the 100 i have inputed)
The user enters their info, the info is sent to the php page through ajax, the php checks if the input fields are empty and checks if the info is correct.If fields are empty or the info is wrong, it updates a div layer with an error message telling them what is wrong.
My problem though is if the user enters correct info. If the user enters correct info I want the main page (index.php) to be refreshed (This is the page with the original form on it).This is my java script:
function createRequestObject() { var ro; var browser = navigator.appName; if(browser == "Microsoft Internet Explorer"){
[code]....
I've tried various things with the meta tag, including updating multiple parts of the page (using ID|<blah> instead of just a plain echo) and a couple other things. None of them will get the original page itself to reload.
What would be the jQuery-based way of refreshing random content that is currently managed by PHP?
PHP Code:
$num = Rand (1,5);switch ($num) {case 1:echo '<div>Random content</div>';break;// and so on...}
I'd like to add the option to refresh this content with jQuery. I'm not sure how this might work (I'm only an amateur coder and not familiar with JS beyond using plugins). Would it be as simple as adding an ID to each div and then somehow displaying a new div at each click of an anchor? It doesn't really need to be random: in number order would be fine. I want to keep the underlying PHP method, or a near equivalent, so that it degrades nicely.
I have a main window, in this main window, I have just a bunch of table rows (pulled from a database) that have 'Edit' beside them... If you click 'Edit' it will pull up a seperate window that has the information in an editable format (with forms and such). The user/admin edits the information and clicks 'Submit' it loads up another page in that child window and changes it within the database.. after this has happened, it closes the child window. Now after the child window has closed, I need the parent window to refresh to allow the changes to be viewed.
