I have two url <td><a href="">like</a><a style="display: none">Unlike</a>is that possible I can switch click and switch hidden, if I click like the unlike show, if I click unlike the like show
My goal is to be able to have a page with multiple hidden DIVs. On click of a link, a single DIV (box) should appear. Now, either on second click of that link, it should close OR on click of another link the first DIV should close and the second should open. At any one time, only one DIV (box) should be visible with the option to close DIVs by clicking a second time on the open link. I have only been able to get 2/3 the way there. I am able to click on a link and open it, click a second link which closes the first and opens the second, but I don't know how to close the last open link so that no DIVs are shown, as when the page originally loaded.
Here is my example code: <html> <head> <title>Hide DIV Test Run</title> <script language="javascript"> function show(selected) { var openDiv = document.getElementsByTagName("div"); for(var x=0; x<openDiv.length; x++) { name = openDiv[x].getAttribute("name"); if (name == 'openDiv') { if (openDiv[x].id == selected) { openDiv[x].style.display = 'block'; } else { openDiv[x].style.display = 'none'; }}}} </script> <style> body { width:50%; } #openDiv1 { display:none; border:solid 2px black; width:200px; } #openDiv2 { display:none; border:solid 2px black; width:200px; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="body"> <p>This is <a href="#" id="link1" onclick="show('openDiv1')">some</a> test text. Sentence #1. <div name="openDiv" ID="openDiv1">This is the hidden text.</div> <p>This is even <a href="#" id="link2" onclick="show('openDiv2')">more</a> text. Sentence #2 <div name="openDiv" ID="openDiv2">This is more hidden text.</div> </div> </body> </html>
I have a table set up with a .click() function on each row sothat if it is clicked on, a class is added to the row thus changingthe background, etc. I was wondering if there was is a way to takethe id of the row that was clicked and populate a hidden field withit. What would I need to include in my .click() function for this towork?Here is my current one:
I am using multiple links at the same page with same class(cannot access using id because of multiple links) like
<a class="coupon_link" href="#?stockAlert=45">Click here to get coupon</a> <a class="coupon_link" href="#?stockAlert=46">Click here to get coupon</a> <a class="coupon_link" href="#?stockAlert=47">Click here to get coupon</a>
I am trying to save the state of visibility (hidden or visible) of a portlet as a variable so that It can be saved. Hopefully allowing the user to return to the page without having to toggle portlets open/close again.
My issue: Unable to correctly establish whether or not the clicked portlet is visible or hidden while assigning a variable to be used as post data to a database.
Here is the code so far
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html lang="en"> <head>
I want to show pictures of my students on a page so I can take the presence easily. I made that using a MySQL DB with php. That's the easy part.
Next, i managed to make a jquery script so when I click each image the border of that image cycle through green, red and yellow (in - out - late css class).
Here is the html code (id from hidden field is the student number)
Now, I want to set each hidden field value according to the state of the image (in ou or late) with jquery and submit all hidden field to put it in my DB.
I have a class hidden by default at the document ready state. I use the show() function when its parent has been clicked and I want to be able to apply a click function to this newly visible element - when I write it I am finding that it is overriding the initial hide(). How do I work around this? I should say that this element is just a bit of text that says "close x" and will be used to "close" its parent div down...
I have a div tag element and a hide/show button above it. I'm able to handle the hide show of the contents all right via the button, but I want the div to be hidden when someone clicks anywhere else in the document, save inside the div area itself.This functionality is similar to what you see on the sign on panel in twitter.com. Press the sign in, the div sign in panel displays. Press the sign in link OR anywhere else on the document outside the panel. The panel is hidden.What's the best way to script this functionality in jquery?
i am working on a custom drop down list that has hidden #options DIV which is shown when the user clicks on a button. the problem i am having is that the click event does not seem to be attached to the LI elements since they are hidden when the page first loads. if i show the #options DIV when the page loads everything is working as expected.i've tried to attach the click event after i show the hidden UL but that didn't work either.what can i do to make sure the LI click event fires? i tried to put A tag inside of LI and attach click to that but to no avail.
I'm trying out a jquery accordion menu. Problem is I'm having problems with it in IE (7 at least). There's three stacked menu links, two of which contain sublinks (where the accordion comes in). When I click one of the sublinks in IE7 it briefly flashes all the sublinks (even the hidden ones). It'll probably make more sense if you give it a try!

I'm guessing its something to do with the HTML body of the page kicking in before the javascript?
Using a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...
I am trying to get a simple set of Javascript tabs to work properly. I have just two tabs and I want to set up the script to have the second tab automatically hidden prior to reading the javascript code because right now it shows the contents of both tabs when the page is loading and then the second tab disappears after all the script has loaded.
I have the jquery script linked to on the page and here is the way my script looks to run the tabs:
Code:
I want to add something like style="visibility:hidden;" to the DIV that isn't shown on page load and have it added and removed as necessary when users click on the tabs. So basically I would like the generated code to look like this:
Specifically, assume I have a div tag of absolute dimensions. I need to figure out, first, whether or not the text inside the div tag is partially hidden by the overflow setting, and if so, what the hidden text is.
Is this even possible? Obviously, the rendering engine in the browser "knows" this information, but is it accessible through Javascript?
I cant really figure this out, the only thing i could see messing it up is the javascript:void(0) inside the anchor link but since there is a double click function and a click, it should only be one click.I put autoOpen which i think is also causing it, but i did that so theuser can open it, close it, and open it again so the delay "double click" is saying for the first time initialize and then the second click is opening?? if so how do i get around this?
HERE IS MY JQUERY $(document).ready(function(){ $("#pro_edit_profile").hide();[code]....
There is a checkbox on a form page, when you check it, a div will become visible with some extra inputs needed for that situation. To simulate this click on the checkbox external, I use click(). With jquery files 1.4 and lower this works properly and like expected. When using jquery library 1.4.1 or higher, something does not seem to work properly. Sooooo, the code:
Somehow I managed to get this thing 'sort of' working with 1.4.1 or higher. But the code to accomplish this is absurd. See functioncheckTheBox4Plus() on line 8. It works :) but shouldn't.. Or is it the other way around?
Once you in, click on the button with the sign 'Click To Start Shopping' The problem is, the Flash doesn't load I bought this flash template and i was supposed to edit the FLA file for the serverpath. I guess i didn't put the server path correctly. Below is the code in the .FLS file
[Code]...
Below is the instruction from the documentation: 3. Once you have everything correctly running on local, then OPEN THE FLA, go to first frame, layer codes, open “action” panel and set there the final pàth on your server where all the files will be located (create a folder especifically for this): [URL]
I have a basic dropdown css menu system. When a menu item is selected (ex: foo.html), the cluetip link opens a 450px wide window as expectedThen,I selectanother menu item (ex: bar.html). But when I return to link foo.html: and click the same clueTip link the clueTip link now opens in it's own window instead of the 450px clueTip window as beore would expect the small clueTip window to open and show the clueTip on each successive click as it does the first time. If I do a browser reload, the first menu selection works as it should, but only on the first click.If the menu is not used, the single file opens the clueTip correctly. Does clueTip get confused in a menu program?
// the cluetip code: $(document).ready(function() { $('#clickme').cluetip({
I've a function for my search form. Basically when you click on the form box where it says "Enter your search here" this value disapears when you click in the box. When you click out the box it re adds the value. It works if you click return on the keyboard and performs the search no problem. However if you click the search button with the mouse it removes the search term and replaces it back with "Enter your search here". This obviously will not return the search.
Anyone know how I can fix this so this does not happen on the mouse click?
I've used jsfiddle to add the html and javascript but it is not working in there, but works if you add it to dreamweaver and look at it within a browser. [URL]
This is the code: <script type="text/javascript"> function make_blank() {
Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? I'm not sure how to change the menu options ere is a link to the site. [URL]
I want to call the click event of the link (anchor tag) on the click of the button. I used this code below in the click event of button to call links click event and it works fine in IE.
document.getElementById('linktag').click();
But, this doesn't work in Firefox. I googled a bit and found that in firefox, you have to do something more to achieve this behaviour. So, I ended up doing this on button click to work in firefox:
var link=document.getElementById('linktag'); var e = document.createEvent('MouseEvents'); e.initEvent(

The above code does the click on link when I click on the button. But my problem now is that I have defined a link as
and when click is called and mailto links opens my email client, it somehow ignores the subject and body parameters of the link. It works properly when i actually click a link element. but it doesn't work when i simulate the click event by code written above. above dispatching event code somehow ignores the link parameters?
How can I give a click on a link when it is just created and added to DOM?
None of this works: function openProfilePage(profile){ $('#profile-link').remove(); var link = $('<a/>').attr({'href':'profile.php?user='+profile, 'target':'_blank', 'id':'profile-link'}).css({'top':'-200px','left':'-300px', 'position':'absolute'}).html(profile);
I've a strange problem [for me]I want to make that:1 - click on the red, it goes up2 - second click on the red, it comes backbut it doesn't work if I used 4 times #red, but If I change it it's perfect.Where I made a mistake?
