Analyze The Contents Of A Textbox And Replace The Contents With The Appropriate Date?

Jul 15, 2009

I'm looking for javascript to analyze the contents of a textbox and replace the contents with the appropriate date. To make that a little clearer, if the user types 'tomorrow' then when they tab/move onto the next text box the 'tomorrow' text should be replaced with the date for tomorrow in the format dd/mm/yyyy, if the user enters '1 week' then the text should be replaced with the date in one week in the format dd/mm/yyyy etc.

Text Value - Add Contents Of Each Textbox And Show Result In Another Textbox

Jan 13, 2011

I am doing a lottery project in which i have 10 textbox and i want to add contents of each textbox and show result in another textbox say 11th textbox.

I am having the fallowing codes below on jsp page.

I want to add contents of textbox from(n50,n51.....n59) and show result in another textbox named (n60)

My question is that the valus stored in textbox is numeric and when i enter the value in any two of the textbox say named (n50 and n51) then the addition of its value must be seen in the result textbox say (n60) here. it does not wait for another textbox value which is left blank. the result of addition should be displayed simelteneously as i enter the value in text box.

Replace Instead Of Append The Contents Of Div?

Mar 23, 2011

I have the following code in a website which is the W3C method of loading XML/XSL via Javascript. The code works perfectly except as you can see from the last line of code it appends the fixed div. This is not suitable as I need the site to overwrite the contents of the fixed div (not append). How could I rewrite that last line of code so that the data within the fixed div is rewritten with the contents of resultDocument. innerHTML doesn't work since the content of resultDocument is an XML file.

xml=loadXMLDoc("dating_database.xml");
{
xsltProcessor=new XSLTProcessor();
xsltProcessor.importStylesheet(xsl);

Dynamically Replace Table Contents

Feb 17, 2005

ok basically i want to move two rows in a table.
for example i have the table:

1 name1 address1
2 name2 address2
3 name3 address3
4 name4 address4

and i'd like a javascript function to which i could pass a line number, a destination number, and it would then reorganize the table accordingly.
example: rebuildtable(4,2) would result in:

1 name1 address1
4 name4 address4
2 name2 address2
3 name3 address3

and rebuildtable(1,4) in:

2 name2 address2
3 name3 address3
4 name4 address4
1 name1 address1

I have tried a method using innerHTML, I seem to be able to access <tr>s' innerhtml (if i do an alert on them i can see their current status), however when i want to replace one tr with some other html it fails for some reason.

Clear Textbox Contents On Click

Apr 12, 2006

I currently have a form that users of my site can enter their name and send me an automated message [URL]. The problem I'm having is that in order to keep it neat, I have an initial value in the text box to say what I want to be entered (in this case, 'Name') Now, I have it set to automatically select the text on click, but I would either like to have it erase the text entirely so my php file (contactdate.php) can filter it and give an error message, or have my php file actually filter out the value "Name" and send the user to an error page.

Specifically with Internet Explorer 8?I've tried every rendition that I know of.I have to admit that javascript isn't really my forte.I thought a line like:

Code:
value = top.frames[0].document.form1.mytextbox.value; would work, but it is not.

Get Contents Of This TD?

Oct 16, 2009

I need to produce some code to get the contents of the particular TD I am running a function in.

I have the following code which works fine up the point of wanting to delete a row. In order to make it work again I have to go into the code and adjust all the numbers in the functions (not sure that's the correct terminology)

<head>
<script language='javascript'>
exchRate = '1.12';
function gettheUKP(which) {

[Code]....

So in essence I think I need to change the highlighted line to say "get the contents on the span within this TD".

What I am having trouble with is finding the content between the tag so that I can put it back after altering the selected text.

And lastly if the user click the clink "more" again, the page goes back to the first scene.

DOM: How To Append To Node'd Contents?

Jul 23, 2005

This question refers to the DOM. I would like to dynamically append
some small amount of text to the all-text content of a <pre> node.
I suppose that I could extract the existing content, and replace
the <pre> node in question with a new <pre> node that has the
extended content. But the existing content is longish, and it
seems to me wasteful to rewrite it all just to have a small amount
of text tacked on to the end. Is there a way to simply append the
new text to the node's contents?
