May 10, 2010Code... sometimes instead of replacing the content it's duplicating the returned content (usually happens if it's called to again on the same page.)
what can i do to prevent this?

JQuery :: ReplaceWith Links Not Working In The Replaced Content?
May 31, 2011I'm utilizing the replaceWith(); function on a page to simply replace content in one area with new content with corresponding buttons.
Problem is I really want to have slimbox on my images that I am loading into this new area, and the links will not work. Oddly enough the code recognized that it is a link, it just won't play the slimbox animation, it just opens the image normally.
The code I have in a function file linked from the main page (portfolio.html) is:

Aug 28, 2011I found a same issue somewhere the jquery replaceWith comments sections, I would just reiterate it as its the same problem Im having now,My requirement is that on click of edit button , Labels are replaced with Textboxes . Once user Updates in it . Once Update button is clicked , Text boxes are replaced with labels again with updated text .But problem is this works only once .If User clicks on Edit button again then , Labels are not replaced with textboxes ..as labels are virtual labels .Step 1 : Click Edit ButtonStep 2 :

Web Page Gets Replaced / Use Php To Open Header In New Window?
Feb 11, 2009I am using my script to update my table with the click number and then redirect to the stored href link code...
The only problem I have with this is that my web page gets replaced.
What I really want to do is open a new window and have the new web page in that. I can put a notice to say it will open a new window, its just that it will really annoy people if my page closes on them when they are half way through a tutorial !
What do I need to do to open the link in a new window ?
Pull Down Replaced By Text Field When Selecting Other

the first function(start: function ..) displays an attribute (title) of the dragged item once the sorting starts. supposedly, the second function (stop: function ..) would display the same attribute but of the item replaced by the dragged item once the sorting stops.
I have tried a lot of things already, but none seems to work.
Getting Content Of A Textarea With AJAX
Jan 22, 2009I'm trying to achieve something that I originally thought would be very simple, but I can't get it working....and even googling hasn't helped this time! All I want to do is update the innerHTML of a div with the content of a textarea object when a button is clicked. I'm trying to avoid having to post the form using AJAX because the button also replaces the innerHTML of a different div with the value of a text input box. Here is the code I've tried, but it doesn't work:

In this example, the titleText var represents the text input box, and the contentText var is the textarea. The titleDiv gets correctly updated with the current value of the input box, but the contentDiv doesn't seem to consider any changes I make within the textarea - it just loads the original content. This seems very strange to me. Is there an easy way to retrieve the value of the textarea?
Ajax :: Third Party Web Content ?
Sep 2, 2009I am currently using an IFrame (in my jsp) to bring up a third party web content(ex.a payment page from [url]). i want the external site to handle all the user actions (within the iframe).
In this case I am unable to capture the errors or exception that the external website throws.
Is there a way to bring up third party web content using Ajax with better error handling mechanism ?

So I've built an 'about us' menu in my sidebar, and I want to pull the applicable content into the content area of the template when a button is clicked without the page re-loading. Ideally the content should be pulled from external files to make updates easier.
I'm sure there's an easy AJAX/JS solution out there, but I'm not sure where to find one.

AJAX :: Cannot Get JS Content From Page To Load
Dec 9, 2009I have been searching online for hours, but it is possible I'm just not thinking of the correct keywords. I have included a basic illustration of the current setup (which does not work). The issue lies with the page that is the desired output. I have a far deeper issue which I have narrowed down to javascript on the final .asp page not loading at all.
On default.asp, I am calling a function contained in 'ajax_call-contentselection.js'

Honestly, I don't believe the following piece of code (ajax_call-contentselection.js) is relevant, as it is standard ajax code, but just in case:

The other contents of "ajax_display-contentselection.asp" are displayed properly in "div_ajaxfillattractions" of "default.asp", but no javascript code on that page loads. If I use "ajax_display-contentselection.asp" as an include file on "default.asp", I get the javascript alert of 'Success', but when I initiate the AJAX it does not work, so I know there isn't a problem with the javascript.

The problem is that that content seems not to pick up the CSS stylesheet rules. I have to press refresh before it loads the styles.

AJAX :: Display Content Once Loaded?

Nov 18, 2010I want to have a website which will load content into a div after a delay. I want the site to load normally apart from one div. In this div i want to display a loading gif for 2-3 seconds and then have the content load. I want to be able to alter the content which loads into this div dynamically with buttons but have content which loads in without any buttons being pressed, simply on page load.
although you have to click the button to load the content, i figured if i moved the JS into the body tag and changed it to onload rather than onclick then it would begin the script when the body loads. Which is what I want. However I have not yet been successful in making this work and am now stuck.This is where I have got with the script.

AJAX :: Script To Replace Div Content?
Dec 24, 2009I am new to Java/AJAX and I am trying to create a script that will change content of a div. My scenario I am using is an index page with the list.php script included in the div I want content changed in. The list.php script will pull 8 newest titles from mysql and list them in the div. When you click one of the titles it will redirect you to a new page created by story.php. I would like this to be contained inside the div I have currently have the list.php script in.
I have looked at several tutorials on AJAX to do this, but they always call a static html page. Since I am not using a static html page I do not think this solution would work for me.

Oct 15, 2010Strange behaviour: User enters text into textarea - text includes URL with protocol e.g. [URL]. JSON call fails with 403 forbidden. It seems the the serialised content is being interpreted as a cross domain call (my guess). Any other text works - Even if the user enters "http://www.u", but as soon as the input qualifies as a url, I get a 403.
