We run a record label, and are looking for a free piece of software/server install that will allow us to enter several [Artist] - [Title] entries, and for that software to then search the internet/specific sites for if that song has been played/tracklisted anywhere. Is there something already in place for this job?
I have created a similar smart search like yellowpages:[URL]... Here is the problem I have with mine:
Lets say I search 'Attorneys' I start typing 'Att' ... then 'Attorneys' shows up in the smart search so I click on it and press enter. The next time I start typing 'Att' my browsers saved search field pops up over the websites smart search. Here is an image which might help explain the problem a bit more:
only show rows that match certain criteria. In my example the table displays first name, last name, date won, and game name. I've tried several examples on the internet and the ui.tablefilter plugin, to no avail. They allseem to depend on a certain structure in the table. I am limited in howI structure the html because thehtml of the table is generated by an asp.net gridview control. Ihave gotten the below piece of code to work, but it takes at least 10 seconds to run and I only have 40 records.I assigned a class of gameName to the data fields in the column that contains the game name.
I want to make a search field for my site where the user can enter his query then select which site he would like to search the query on. Like www.torrents.to has, basically just like that. I know nothing about coding, could somebody write the code for me and tell me where to put my links, directory stuff etc...?
I thought up this script when I was working on a website that acted as a cell phone. I did take a little coding outta brothercakes frogger script. If you dont want me to have this up here, just let me know. But here it is:
function alert(msg) { alObj=document.createElement("div"); document.body.appendChild(alObj);
which isprobablyeasy to tell, but I was hoping someone would be able to answer my question regarding the jquery accordion content sliders or point me in the direction of one that fits my needs.I am wondering if there is an accordion plug in out there that will reveal content based on whether or not you've moused over an image or clicked on it. I've seen a few, but what I have yet to see is one where the button is in a separate div than the content holder.For example, you could have a rotating image you roll over with your mouse and 200 pixels to the right text suddenly appears to define the word image you just rolled over.
how to create a customizable event based calender i need to create a grid calender where user can edit the fields of the dates and he can block some dates!
I have two js scripts running on my project at the moment, one is uses mootools and the other uses jquery-1.2.3min, both work but not if they are on the same page.The mootool adds the pop out effect to a form box and the jquery enables the nav switch for 2 boxes that contain different form fields for a search engine. Now I've been reading up on the two and have decided to favour jquery which means I have to reproduce the same effect in mootool but with my limited knowledge it's proven rather hard.The mootool code:
var isExtended = 0; var height = 165; var width = 240;
I have a search field on the website, and when I type a word to search, it search good, but after preforming the search, the search term from search text field disappears and become the default 'Search' word.
How can I make search term stay in search field after preforming a search ? For example, when I type into the search field 'JavaScript' I want that term to stay in search field and after the search is done.
Now i just want to edit one thing, when you search for something, results are shown under the search field, when you click on each result, goes to a link.
I want when clicking on a result, not going to link, just show that result string on the search field. where should i edit in script?
I have chosen to use Google Custom Search with my website and was given the following code, my question is, how can i pass a search query from my homepage which has a standard form on there to the search page which holds this code?
I am given a search box within this code but would prefer to use my own on the homepage...
I have a website that I'm designing where I have the need to search multiple sites at specific times. By this I mean that In some cases, we would want to search only the internet using google, or only search the site that I've created (which currently uses the jse_search.js solution), or only our company's website.
I currently have four different search boxes that will search either the internet, the internal site, a separate internal site, or a third-party website, which all working fine. The problem is that the search boxes take up quite a bit of space, and the layout is becoming cumbersome. Is there a way in Javascript I could use a single search box and a drop-down list to select which method to use? The code I'm currently using is below. With the exception of the Google search function, I've modified some of the site names to general site names and paths to preserve the company's anonymity:
Code in the <head> tag: <script language="JavaScript1.3" type="text/javascript" src="jse_form.js"> </script> Code in the <body> tag: <!--Begin Internal Site Search 1!-->
I have been looking for the past 2 days for a script that I can add and delete table rows.
I have found a lot but so far all of them add an input field but I desperatly need a textarea or ideally a section of input fields.
I have tried to change the code from input to text area but none of them worked.
Have you come across to a similar script.
I would appreciate any contributions.
What I am trying to do is a page where the user will add their employees details so we can order business cards for them. So I have fileds such as, Name, Tel Num, Email, Cell etc.
I have this order form where the customers can change the quantity by intput in a text field.I would like to have the text field changed with select fields, but doing so in the form, the script is not doing anymore.Can anyone have a look and tell me what to change in the scritp to accept select fields in place of the text fields.
I have multiple fields in a form with the same name. Lets call the fields with the same name "junk_array". My first field of junk_array is a input type=hidden. All the others fields in junk_array that follow are type=text. I can reference this first hidden field in IE with document.form.field[0].value. In, fact my form works absolutely wonderful in IE 6. However, netscape 4.7 does not recognize my first field in the array as the hidden field. Netscape sees the first visible text field as the first field in the array, subscript 0. What totally and utterly perplexes me, is that, from a previous thread, I can do this and get 9999 back in an alert box in Netscape and IE. So, this proves Netscape doesn't have some evil code that disregards hidden fields. I guess...
I even copied these fields directly below the opening <form> tag in my form and both Netscape and IE see the first hidden field as as subscript 0.
However, my form is much more complicated. I have tables within tables and about 30 other fields. In my form I cannot for the life of me get Netscape to recognize the first hidden field of junk_array to zed as index 0.
Somehow, If I make the first type=hidden fields visible, netscape does work nicely. Why when I toggle type=hidden to type=text does Netscape cooperate. What is happening here? Anyone else have this problem with hidden fields in Netscape? I could post the code to my form but it is big.
I have a page built in Sharepoint. I need to create a little search box within that page so people can search for names on that same page. It's a page with a lot of text, hence why the search feature is needed.
i have to hide/unhide some fields on basis of some other fields. i found this script on the web.i can't understand the function completely what is the if ( txt.match(id1) ) block doing ?? is there any other way of doing the same...
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
I have used this piece of code which is working great. It allows me to add different items from combo boxes to my order form. The problem is that i dont know how to extract the data from my db to display in a form view when i want to amend the i.e the number of items. Each record has a different number of items in it but are all lnked to one id. Is this possible to do. Any help on this would go along way.
stdhead("Home"); ?> <script type="text/javascript"> var counter = 0; function add_phone() {
There are two input fields in a form, but only one of them is required, they are not required at the same time. Either A or B is required. ( A is required OR B is required). In other words, a user can input data to field A, or he can input data to filed B, but he can not input data to Both A and B at the same time. How to implement this constraint in Jquery form validation?
I wish to have a search page on my website, so that the website user can search for items on my site, and list the results in another page, how would I go about carrying this out, I would like to set this up before publishing it to the web.
