Having problems with my add button, it works . . . when it wants to. Its OK when adding but when trying to add after deleting it gets moody and doesn't work. I didn't use a loop but there's a counter for the sake of the IDs cause I will be connecting a database to it.
I'm currently trying to code a Adobe Acrobat roelplaying sheet but unfortunately I lack the know how. I want to feed text into a textbox if a checkbox or multiple checkboxes are selected. Example.
if (this.getField("CheckBox1").value=="True" { Now this is where I get lost ..lol textbox1 displays "Huzzah CheckBox1 is selected!".
I would then want to be able feed further information into textbox1, if say for example checkbox2 was then also selected it would add "Huzzah CheckBox2 is selected!" after the "Huzzah CheckBox1 is selected!".
The short of it is that I am trying to change the background color of all elements with a particular class name. I know there is no getElementsByClassName (wouldn't it be nice if there were?), but is there a simple way to do it? Alternatively, is there a way to apply changes to multiple id's?
My platform PHP, MySQL. I am not very familiar with Javascript. I need to calculate value of each Checkbox List (Price) plus value from one TextBox (PrixBase) I have found this JQuery which works great in my case, but it make append two numbers instead calcul addition

Below is the script and form fields I am working with. What I want to do is sum the two textbox fields and have the result show in the total textbox. The code works fine and the total textbox is updated with the value of form1.basic. The problem occurs when I add the "+ parseInt(document.form2.supporter.value)" code in the script section.
I have a div with a height of 100 pixels.If the content is too much to fit in div, I want to show a 'Read More' link at the bottom.If you then click 'Read More', the div expands to full height so all the content can be seen and the link text changes to 'Read Less'.If you then click 'Read Less', the div contracts back to 100 pixels.I've found solutions that can handle the above situation, but I want to have multiple divs with the same class that all work independantly of each other.So I'd have the following HTML
I'm trying to have multiple divs with the same class acting a s a button. I need to handle the click for each one. I will be obtaining the name attribute and passing that in an ajax call.However, this only works for one of the divs on the page, am I doing something wrong?
$(document).ready(function(){ $('#mark_sold').click(function() { var item = $(this).attr("name"); alert(item+'clicked'); }); });
I'm also going to need to know how to refresh an image, too. I will be updating an image in the ajax call.
I have a web page wich has several list like this one:
So several ul's list wich are inside severals divs of class <div class="languages_cont" >
I need to make active the first <a> of each one this ul's and it need to be done in Js (when i say active i mean the <a> text will become bolded, so right now i've been trying using a each but no luck yet, it only selects the first it encounters.
I have some jQuery code to add and remove a class to toggle an image. It works for one but now I want it to work if I add other checkboxes. Currently all the checkboxes change the 1st div. I would like to make it toggle it's respective div.
<html> <head> <title>jquery to Show/Hide a Div</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.1.min.js"></script>
In the past I've done image rollovers and that's fine. I got scripts for those, and got them to switch fine. But what I want to do is edit the backgroudn color of a TD, which is code defined, and not an image. Anyways, the basic thing I'm doing is a table that hold lots of numbers. I'm creating a "times table" - which looks roughly something like this:
Now, when you rollover, let's say, the '6' - the TD background color for the '6', left '2' and top '3' would change to a different color (bolded in this example). This would work the same way for every other number as well, which involves overlapping classes. I've search for an answer for hours, to no avail. And here's a more "code specific" example of the table:
Also, the image rollover script I have goes like this: Code: <script type="text/javascript"> function MM_swapImgRestore() { //v3.0 var i,x,a=document.MM_sr; for(i=0;a&&i<a.length&&(x=a[i])&&x.oSrc;i++) x.src=x.oSrc; }function MM_preloadImages() { //v3.0 var d=document; if(d.images){ if(!d.MM_p) d.MM_p=new Array(); var i,j=d.MM_p.length,a=MM_preloadImages.arguments; for(i=0; i<a.length; i++) if (a[i].indexOf("#")!=0){ d.MM_p[j]=new Image; d.MM_p[j++].src=a[i];}} } .....
I am trying to use multiple instances of this little show/hide script for a definition list on the same page. However, the problem is that the definition list must be given an ID, and this can only be used once on a page. [URL]. How would I go about changing this to a class so that I could use it more than once on a page (i.e. multiple definition lists as opposed to one big one)? I changed all of the getElementById to getElementByClass and it didn't seem to work.
function descw() { document.getElementById("desc").style.display="block"; } function descc()
[Code]...
This works, but I have a whole class of divs named select that need their own individual description divs. Id method is okay for one div apparently, but if I click on others it loads the first description div. What do I use instead? I tried getElementsByName and Atrribute and got an error.
This can't be too hard, but I'm not seeing the answer. Elements on a web page may contain a class starting with "tr_". Sample HTML:I'm using the following to select matching elements: $('[class*=tr_]').each(function() So far so good. But now, I need to get the name of the class that starts with "tr_" from each matching element.
I'm trying to set up a blog, which uses a slideshow within each post, using the jQuery Cycle plugin.
Is there a way of creating separate slide shows for each, using a single class (.post-slideshow-images) - and also have the next and prev links on each, and a caption? Let's say there are 5 instances of slideshows with the class.post-slideshow-images.I've tried the below, but the next and prev links, and the caption are linked between each slideshow (clicking next on one, for instance, controls every instance on the page, and the caption for every slideshow also updates)
I have mulitiple 'a' tags with different classes (aclass1, aclass2, aclass(n)) and I have multiple divs, also with consecutive classes (divclass1, divclass2, divclass(n)). Is there a way to select the 'a' tags to match the div based on its number (ie. 'aclass1' with 'divclass1' and aclass2 with divclass2)? For example something like this:
My code: [URL]... When I click on UpraviƄ in class edit I need add some HTML code to begin and to end of class entry how to I can select class entry in the same class post on which I clicked?
