Simple Hide - LightBox (Click Function Not Working)
Dec 17, 2010This code doesn't work.
$('#lightBoxCloseButton').click(function() {
$('.css3Lightbox').hide();
});
This code doesn't work.
$('#lightBoxCloseButton').click(function() {
$('.css3Lightbox').hide();
});
I have this code:
$
(
'#region_dc').
click
[code]....
The click works fine. Check the checkbox, the hidden div displays. But when I uncheck the checkbox, I want it to go away.
I am doing a simple slidetoggle with a click function. Meaning I am basically sliding a div (content) into nothing with another div (button) using a click event. This works all fine and dandy but now here is the problem.. I want to change the class of the div(button) so that I may show a different background image depending on the state of the open or closed content div.
Here is the code so far...
$(document).ready(function() {
$('.Button').click(function() {
$('.Content').slideToggle('normal');
if($(this).next().is(':hidden') == false) {
$(this).addClass('off');
alert ('You should see See More button.');
}});
Then obviously I have CSS that has the classes I need including an "on" class that I could not get to fire.
I have a simple function defined on my page in the script section that should put me in a div named "apDiv4" a text when i press the down arrow in a text input called 'search2'. But it does nothing.
Here's the function:
And here is where i call it:
Why this doesn't work? I've tried onkeydown= "KeyCheck()" too.
I am trying to do a simple echo onclick, but despite what I try to do, it shows no errors, but won't work. I've tried things like:
echo "<div onclick="alert('test');">t</div>";
echo '<div onclick="alert('test');">t</div>';
But just can't seem to get it to work right. I'm trying to do this on a script that is being eval on the ajax request. Thus I'm having problems placing the ',", marks.
I have a simple font size function as follows which works fine across safari/firefox but does nothing in IE?[code]...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a simple function to display an image when called, but if I try to rewrite the function to take the image as an argument, it stops working.

I have a simple hide and fadeIn. When you rollover a word it will reveal the definition. The problem I am having is if you move the mouse around quickly from one word to the next word sometimes it gets hung up and a definition will not hide. The result gives this hanging defintion and whatever the other definition the mouse is rolledover.
Here is the code I'm using:
There are about 70 words in a box with the definition being reveals on the right hand side. Is there a way of making sure there is always only one definition being shown?
I am trying to create a simple splash page.
I have 2 divs on the page, div1 has a gif animation in it and div2 is the page content. I want to hide div2 and only show div1 which plays the gif, then after some time div1 fades away and div2 fades up to show the page content.
This is my thought process:
1) On doc ready, hide div2
2) after 3000 fade div1 out
3) fade div2 in
$(document).ready (function(){
$('#div2')hide();
but I dont know how to fade out the div after a time and fade in the other div.
The examples I see all use the click function.
Getting my show/hide function to work in all browsers.
The function below works everywhere but Firefox.
Can someone see why it's not working?
My javascript function:
why isn't this working?
$('body').find(".overcolor").click(function(){
alert("hi");
});
just started using jQuery,and i'm having a problem using the function .show()/.hide() to make a div appear and disapear when a certain option value is selected.It's working fine in firefox but not working at all in chrome and IE 8.This is the function code i'm using :
$(function(){
$("#produtos").click(function(){
$("#produtos_valor").show("slow");

I have an expandable menu (not an accordion), that needs to toggle div elements below it. If I put the click event on the h3 of the menu, it works fine but as soon as I put it on the link, it doesn't work.
JQUERY
$(document).ready(function(){
$(".expand").click(function(){
$(this).next("div").slideToggle("fast")

I'm working on a website and using jquery quite a lot.For a first level of coding, I'm using Chrome and everything works just fine.But I'm having a first bug when using Firefox.Indeed, I create a button with a click function and when I display my page on Firefox, the click doesn't fire any action like it does on Chrome.Here is the peace of code:HTML declaration of the button:
<
div
id

'm trying to make some code so that when a user clicks on a picture, a image will be displayed where it was clicked (i.e the x and y co ordinates). Anyway, so I started writing it but my code doesn't seem to work, so I'd like to see what I've done wrong.[code]And the image which I want clicked has an id of "world".
View 1 Replies View RelatedI started with the simplest step - the hide() function:
$(document).ready(function(){
$("a#p").click(function(event){
$("#HiddenDiv").hide();
})
});
It worked fine as long as the href attribute of the anchor tag was '#'. Then I tried using href other than '#' and ran into a problem. I just changed the href to:
<a id="p" href="test.php">Click me</a><br />
<div id="HiddenDiv">Testing mate</div>
test.php is the page in which both these sections (html and jquery) are present, so like a postback to the same page.
This method didn't work and on clicking the anchor tag, the div stayed visible.
I then tried theevent.preventDefault(); method and that worked.
So I experimented more. I tried using the hide function on a dynamic link, something like test.php?a=1.
I ran into a problem again. The div remained visible on clicking that link.
I have the following code:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#link').click(function() {
alert('Clicked!');
$('#content').load('dialogs/load/content', function() {});
});
});
The link is a normal link that is not dynamically created. The alert works. I know the problem is not the Ajax call because this works just fine:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#content').load('dialogs/load/content', function() {});
$('#link').click(function() {
[Code]....
It only breaks when located inside the click handler. It does not return response headers or a response. Is there something about event handlers and ajax that I'm missing?
I wrote a simple javascript function but I cant get it to work upon a button click event because it keeps telling me that "object is expected" ? could you please identify where the error is? Heres my code
<html>
<head>
<title>Test</title>
<script type="text/Javascript" language="Javascript">
function output(){
alert("Hello world"); }
</script>
<head>
<body>
<input type="button" name="btnSubmit" value="submit" onclick="output();" />
<input type=button onclick="output();">
</body>
</html>
It keeps indicating me that there is an error when calling the method on button click.
When thebody section below iscommented out, I get hello, and when it isn't, I don't !
$("body"
).click(function
(e){
return
[Code]....
Is this a bug, is it an unavoidable aspect of the "live" architecture
big fan -- first time poster. I've been learning javascript and jquery on the fly so bear with me if I seem to lack understanding of what may be semantic basics.
Anyway, I'm building a mobile app using phonegap. One page grabs data for a table from ajax, and each table element has a delete button in one of the cells. In short: the clicks aren't working. I put the alert in to test, and no dice. I'm not asking for help on the internals, I'm just stumped on why the function isn't being activated,
[Code]...
<script type="text/javascript">
function toggleVisibility4(controlId)
{
var z = document.forms["frm_sms"]["phone"].value;
[code]...
im not sure where im going wrong i am calling this script from a " onkeyup="toggleVisibility4('arrow')" " the arrow is a div i am wanting to hide when the input field "phone" on a form id of "frm_sms" has more than 10 characters
So I have a CSS stylesheet which sets the div called mainchat to display:none;. That's fine, but then I wrote a script to show/hide the div by using a link. The link is set to onclick="showhide()".
When I click the link, the div opens up and the contents can be seen. Perfect. But when I click the link again, I want it to hide again (i.e. display:none

I've been using lightbox to show some profile pictures on my site.http:[url]....All was working fine on various browers until i decided to change my navigation buttons. These buttons involve some javascript & ever since they were installed, my portfolio images dont show up properly within the lightbox ... box. Just loads up a new page and puts the bigger image there.Here's the js for the buttons called sliding_effect...I also have the jquery file if thats is needed, but for now here's the slding effect js.
$(document).ready(function()
{
slide("#linkList", 25, 15, 150, .8);[code].....
If anyone needs the CSS let me know and i'll put it up, but think its rather more to do with the js.
I would like to add a simple hide and show to the top of my site.
So for example i have a normal site and at the top i have a button contact form you click it and it reveals the contact form from the top of the browser.
Like Elliot has done on his site for the speaking events.
I have several google map markers and lightbox image gallery in the html file. I need to associate each image from the gallery with the markers.
I've tried this
Code:
google.maps.event.addListener(marker01, 'click', function() {
document.getElementById("bump");
});
"bump" is id of div with the image, but it didn't work.
